  • Statute of Limitations...?

Not sure if I am using the right terminology, but what I need to know are the laws concerning posession of property sold. In other words, if I sold something to someone (a manufactured home, to be exact), they paid cash, received a bill of sale, etc...if they do not come back to get it, how long do I have to wait before I legally have the right to sell it to someone else (state of Alabama, btw)?

  • error while partitioning hd..?

Boot to OS cd (XP)and when I choose delete partition, it tells me that it cannot delete it b/c it has files needed for setup...I have FFR'ed many times and have never seen this. There are no other partitions on the HD and only one OS install on the partition. However, now when I restart it gives me the option of where to boot to XP Home Edition or XP setup (even without the setup disk in).....can anyone tell me how to get around this?

  • Kitchen Cabinets?

Anyone have any creative or unusual ideas for kitchen cabinets? I will be replacing the cabinets in my kitchen soon (very small, btw), and I do not want traditionally built cabinets. I will be building them myself, and I am looking for unique and creative materials to build them out of. I just want something different. I don't mean how they are painted, what kind of trim or hardware, the style or type of doors, etc. I am talking about building materials. I particularly like the old style metal cabinets, but they are hard to come by (at least at a reasonable price). One idea was to refinish old school lockers, but I am still looking for other ideas. Thanks to anyone who can help.

  • Anyone have experience "finishing"......?

A company built "kit home" (such as Jim Walter Homes)? Did you run into any problems? What stage of completion did you "order" (shell, partial)? Would it have been cheaper in the long run to have the company finish the house? Any tips or advice on purchasing such a home?

  • Snake Bite?

My dog was bitten by a snake several months ago, and about 2-3 weeks later, she started having problems with her skin....it is progressively getting worse....I had originally thought that it was due to something in the water in our lake (she loves to go swimming), but I think that only "aggrevates" something that is already there, if that makes any sense...I posted another question about her skin condition if you would like more details feel free to check it out under my questions. We don't know what kind of snake, and it was 2-3 hours before we found her and rushed her to the vet. She was about 3-4 months old, and the snake was fairly large (fangs 1 1/2 inches apart), and she was bitten twice on the same leg (one on ankle, and one on elbow). Does anyone know of any long term problems like rashes, allergies, depression, etc. that could be caused by a poisonous snake bite?

I will be glad to give more details if needed...and, yes, she has been to the vet for the skin problems.

  • Problems with dog after she goes swimming...?

My dog, Katydid, (boxer/bulldog mix) loves to go out into the lake at our house...every time she does, a few hours after getting out, the parts of her body that were in the water are very red and swollen...it almost looks like a rash of somekind. She doesn't scratch at it, but she does "clean" the areas a lot (very slowly). She acts as though it maybe stings, or is sore, but not really itchy. It doesn't seem to spread to other areas. The obvious response is to keep her out of the lake, but what I am really looking for is...Has anyone else had this problem? What could be in the water that would cause it (Other dogs that get in seem just fine)? Are there any type of skin problems particular to her breed that may be associated? Or maybe a deficiency that makes her succeptible? Beyond keeping her from something she loves to do, does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this (I don't really need common sense answers such as taking her to the vet)? Thanks, in advance, for your time.

  • Chest pain and fluttering...Any ideas?

This may be long, but i want to give enough b/g info. I'm 26 yrs old. Since around 12 yrs old I have had intermittent chest pain with no obvious triggers. It happens at rest and during activity. Symptoms coincide with angina (based on my research and understanding of it). I've been to countless Dr.s and tried everything from cutting back caffeine to cardiologist's stress test. Nobody can seem to find anything. Recently, under a lot of stress (almost 3 months ago), I started having problems with "shots" of high blood pressure, that have not stopped even though the stressor has gone away. Around the same time, I started having a "fluttering" feeling in my chest (heart). This is also intermitten. It only lasts for a few seconds. I suddenly feel weak, and as soon as the flutter (feels like a quick vibration) is over, I feel fine again, only a little tired for a while. Anybody have any ideas? I can give more details if neccessary, just let me know.

  • Herniated disks?

I'm 26, no kids, I have 2 herniated disks (L4 and L5). L5 was an old injury. I think it happened when I was in the 4th grade and fell out of a swing, but it never really bothered me. L4 happened a couple of years ago, and now I have a lot of problems. I don't agree with having a nerve block, that only covers up the pain...it doesn't fix it. Surgery is not an option according to my doctor. They say I need to build muscle strength in my stomach and back, but I haven't found any exercises I am able to physically do. Symptoms are extreme pain, numbness and tingling in both legs, both arms, neck, and around my right shoulderblade. This isn't all the time, but I would say a majority of the time. I have at least some problems/symptoms on a daily basis (mostly just the pain). Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

  • concrete blocks?

I really need to know any tips, advice, or info for forming and pouring my own cinder blocks (i.e. how to make the forms, what type and brand of mix to use, etc.) Why? I have a lot of time on my hands. If you know that it would be cheaper and better quality to just buy them pre-made....give me some info as to why this would be so such as how many I could get from a bag of concrete mix and what the compression strength of said blocks would be, and at what cure point is the compression that you are giving. Won't meet building code?...don't worry, the rest of my house won't either....alternative building....that's what code variances are for.

  • Comments, Anyone?

If everyone was SECURE enough in THEMSELVES, their OWN spirtuality (spirituality not neccessarily meaning religion), their OWN thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc....the world would be a much nicer place to live. Religion tends to make things ugly. I don't mean individual people within any particular religious sect, but religion as a whole.

  • Bodock Trees?

Are bodock trees poisonous, and if so, what part of the tree? How poisonous are they? I mean...will you get sick, get a rash, etc.? My husband clears right-of-ways and ended up "pulling brush" of a bodock tree, and it rubbed against his arm. All the other guys told him he would probably get so sick he would be out of work for a few days. Is that true or where they just messing with him?
