  • Just for fun: If you were in charge of casting a Muppet version of Harry Potter, how would you cast it?

We were watching Muppet Christmas Carol last night and someone thought the ghost of Christmas present looked like Hagrid. Then the idea of a Muppet Harry Potter movie came up and we had a good laugh.

Forget about that puppet pals thing and think Muppets. Kermit would make a fine Harry Potter. But what about the other roles? Hermione? Ron? Dumbledore? Dobby? And the others? What do you think?

    BQ: Muppet Twilight anyone?

  • Can you help me write a scene in my novel where a pick up truck breaks down?

    Here's what happens:

    (1) The engine makes a very loud noise and then dies.

    (2) The owner, who is a mechanically enclined teenage boy, is able to fix the truck himself.

    (3) Because the truck has a history of breaking down, the owner carries tools and perhaps spare parts in the truck.

So, the question is this: What is wrong with the truck and how does he fix it?

It's important to me to get this right. Ten points for the awesomest info!

    Thanks much for the help.

  • What do you think are the basic principles of psychokinesis?

I'm writing a story which takes place in a fictional society where psychokinesis is an ability that everyone has. It's not magical or mystical, it's just how things get done in ordinary everyday life. It's important to me to portray PK in a way that is believable and somehow logical. So, to those of you who are well read in paranormal studies, what do you think are the basic operating principles of PK? What would make it believable? How can I avoid sounding hokey about PK? I would like to write a story that paranormal enthusiasts would enjoy as well as people who know nothing about such things. My research so far has produced conflicting ideas. Thanks for your help.
