  • What is wrong with my Panasonic TV?

I have a 2005 model Panasonic plasma TV and it's been great these past 6 years, but a few years ago it started "winking" off briefly every so often. The image will flash, go blank and then come back within 1-5 seconds. This occurs randomly; some days during usage it won't happen at all, and other days it happens several times within a 2-4 hour period. It seems to be related to the power supply or possibly dips in the power stream, but I can't seem to find any info about it. It's mostly just a nuisance but if it can be fixed I'd like to do so.

  • Name of a BK Whopper around 1999/2000?

I've been trying to find out the name of a short lived BK Whopper promo from around 1999/2000. I'm pretty sure it was called the Xtreme Whopper or Whopper Xtreme-it had a thick, spicy orange colored sauce and 2 slices of cheese that were different from what they normally use. I recall it somehow being tied in with snowboarding or possibly BMX racing. I don't mean the 2002 Simpsons Extreme Double Whopper, as that was a different item. Does anyone remember this promo? I can't find any info about it, but I had one several times back in the day.

  • What did the original G1 Transformers toys retail for in '84/'85?

I was a huge fan of the show & toys as a kid, but my parents always thought they were too expensive to buy many of them. I'd like to know what the toys originally sold for in stores, I recall them being pricier than most other action figures of the day, but can't recall specifics.

  • Why do people insist upon using credit/debit cards for small, daily purchases?

I've noticed a huge trend lately of people using credit/debit cards for virtually every transaction they make, no matter how small. I work in a retail store and people will use them for $2-$3 purchases, which is asinine. Don't people realize that all they're doing is unwittingly furthering the goal of a cashless society and making banks even more money? Of course, there are times when the usage of a card is warranted, such as items bought remotely (mail/internet/phone sales) and larger purchases that you want the CC company's protection for or for something that you don't immediately have the cash on hand. Cards were never really intended for daily, intensive usage; this is part of the reason why there is so much fraud and identity theft. People also frequently live beyond their means with cards, which is another pitfall. I will stick to CASH, personally-no one makes/charges a transaction fee, and companies do not get personal info about me and my buying habits!
