How is being a Muslim Teacher in the US during Ramadan?
I'm an aspiring teacher who is seeking employment within the Public School System. However, I feel that, yearly during Ramadan, teaching and fasting will become difficult mainly for discipline reasons. What are some suggestions you have or if you are a Muslim Teacher in the United States or such, what has your experience been like so far?
I'm open to hearing all comments (positive) and suggestions.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow to strengthen or rekindle a falling relationship?
My boyfriend and I have been off and on for about 2 years now. At the beginning of our relationship we couldn't get enough of each other. We would go out daily, coffee, dancing, the lake etc. Our affection for one another was tremendous, however with recent obstacles in our relationship the affection has died out. As you could imagine this is the harshest point to deal with in a relationship, when two people begin to checkout. To make matters more intense we plan on getting married in a couple of months, though we love one another dearly a relationship let alone a marriage with out affection would be deemed for failure.
So I need some help, how can we strengthen or rekindle our dying relationship.
He has suggested going out more and becoming more active as we used to so that we can bring back the cherished times.
I really love this man, and hope to have a wonderful future, but with current lack of affection this makes me feel like its a hopeless reality.
Please HELP!!
1 AnswerOther - Family & Relationships9 years agoI want to get married but Islamically he has another wife?
As you may be familiar with the Islamic faith men are allowed to have up to 4 wives, being that they provide them with equal accommodations. Well living in the 21st century United States, that is not as highly regarded nor positively accepted by women of the Islamic faith. I never thought I would be in this position, but I met this gentlemen and after 5 months of a strong committed relationship we began discussing plans of marriage. However, before continuing our plans he revealed to me that he had been married for a year and a half in another country. Me being the women that I'am gave him the ultimatum of divorcing her and continue life with me. Four months later, of patiently waiting and agonizing arguments, he has not divorced the other lady and I'm left no solution but to leave. Besides this situation he and I have no communication issues, or problems within our relationship. I'm open to hearing any advice on this problem. Because truly I don't want to be "the other women" or be deceptive. Please give me advice.
7 AnswersMarriage & Divorce10 years agoWhat is a homosexual person's view on his relationship with the almighty(GOD)?
I've always wondered, since we live in a society that is bashful towards homosexuality, I'm not condoning it or what not; but I want the thoughts of others. If your homosexual, how do you feel about your relationship with the Almighty, and considering how majority of faiths reject those who practice this lifestyle, how do you feel about religion and the afterlife, consequence etc. of doing so?
11 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoShould it matter if a girl can not cook?
I don't want to say I can't cook, but there are somethings that I just can't master.
I'm Somalian and it is engraved in culture that girls just have to know how to cook. But I just can't get it, I used to have a passion for it but now I just can't stand to do cook.
12 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoDoes a girls weight matter?(for guys)?
Okay guys..When or before you begin talking to a chick do you first consider her weight, or physical appearance. Should it matter if she is a bit chunky or does looks extremely matter?
I would really want an honest answer. (nothing sensitive)
10 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoTo keep or not to keep...I really want to make a good decision?
I used to be religious and now that I'm not I don't know if I should hold on to my promise of keeping my virginity until marriage. I know that once I do lose I will regret it but at the same time I have too many urges and would like to experience this ever desired dream.
I have been weighing out the benefits of waiting but am still looped on the pleasure I would feel. I want to keep it and let it be special but at the same time I want to experience that "feeling".
Soo-what should I do?
6 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat should I do if my boyfriend thinks I have cheated?
My boyfriend and I have been having communication problems, he and I are in a long distance relationship. The only way of communicating with him is through his mobile phone, which he had lost for two weeks.
Well as a female I tried just about every possible way of coming into contact with him, from E-mailing him to calling his job.
Well in the process of doing so I met a man who may know him but would not give me information about how he was doing, so I built a friendship with him and used him to relieve my stress.
Let me remind you that he was nothing but a friend, well come to find out that my boyfriend finds out that we had been talking and jumps to the conclusion that I had started a relationship with him.
I want to know what should I do if my boyfreind thinks I am cheating on him, and I have no way to prove my honesty.
I deeply Love him and can not stand to see that he thinks of me as being dishonest and unfaithful. I have been trying to break it to him that I Love him, but he pushes me to side and arrogantly says he can not "tolertae" it any longer.
*any advice would be greatly appreciated.
5 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIs 20 too young to marry?
I'm currently 18 years old and I am deciding whether or not I should get married at 20, My husband to be is 25 and by the time I am done will he will be 27, we have both agreed to wait until I'm in my second term to officially get married.
Which is kind of a compromise seeing how is completely ahead of me..and not wanting to hold him back, I have decided that it would be best to do a second term then get married.
No one really knows I'm planning on doing this which is why I want to know if I', too young or not?
23 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoI'm a young muslim girl who wants to marry the sheikh of her masjid but don't know who or how to go about it?
I'm a young muslim girl as I said in the question and I want to marry the sheikh of the masjid I attend, if you don't know what a sheikh is it's like a preacher of a church if you would use that as a contrast.well to continue on I have been contemplating if I should tell my father or someone of my plan, but am unsure. I am honestly ready to tell someone but would love to know what you think, If I should go ahead for it or wait since I'm young. Although I feel as if I should go ahead and share my thoughts I feel as if doing this would make me feel awkward.."proposing to a sheikh (preacher)".let me know what you think.
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoShould I let go of a guy who I have known for only two weeks?
I met this guy who used to go to my high school online...when we finally went out to see a movie, we chilled for a while but then I had go cuz I didn't tell my parents I was going out , which kinda ruined the nite for us "yh..I knw", so he was bugging me abt that all nite to tell them that I was going out but I jst didn't want to fool with it.
I wanted to show him another side of me but was kinda unsure if he were to go with it or react in a totally different way...
so we went back to my car cuz nonetheless the "date" had to end...
well come the next day he made a decision that I wasn't what he was looking for...lmao
to think I was holding back..
well now I feel as if I shouldn't push on to this seeing how he has lost interest and now I'm eventually loosing interest...
not to mention he drinks and smokes which is a total turnoff for me..that by the way he happened to ask if I would consider dating someone who does such things...
here lay's the question...
should I let go..?
