Do you have to cosplay someone/something from a comic/graphic novel at Comic Con?
Is it accepted if you were to cosplay something that isn't from a comic or graphic novel at Comic Con? I was planning on doing Uhura from Star Trek and possibly a Homestuck cosplay. Would I look weird/stand out if I did those types of cosplays?
3 AnswersComics & Animation7 years agoWhat happens on the premiere night at Comic Con?
I am interested in going to the San Diego Comic Con in 2015 for the first time, and as I was looking through the prices for the days I noticed the "premiere night" was listed at $16 for the Junior rate. What exactly (or, generally,) happens on this day? Is opening ceremonies held then? Should I save the $16 and not go? Is it really important?
Thank you.
2 AnswersComics & Animation7 years agoCan you re-tint sun glasses? (Purple to Red)?
I recently ordered a pair of red glasses from Amazon. The order came in the mail yesterday. When I opened the package, I was staring at a pair of purple, not red, glasses. I went back to the details of my order and it said nothing of purple. I am suppose to be wearing red glasses with my cosplay for my states Anime Convention in three days, and I would look like a fool with purple glasses instead of red. I already have some links on where I can tint glass, so my question(s) are:
Can you tint purple glasses red? Will it turn out red, or a darker hue of purple? Is it even a smart move trying to re-tint it? Will it effect my vision?
Thank you in advance. (Please answer my dire question)
3 AnswersOptical8 years agoDoes no one know what a theme is?
Most people think that a theme is a signal word that describes a topic of discussion. Theme is actually a SENTENCE or or two that describes a topic of discussion. I was taught this in middle school and then again in high school and I still don't understand why people get it mixed up. It appalls me that most people don't even know what a theme IS. Why is this?
2 AnswersWords & Wordplay8 years agoHow do you calculate a person's bowling power?
So my physics class is starting a new unit and we have to figure out how to calculate a persons power when bowling if given the ball's weight, the time to swing the ball, the horizontal swing distance, the time for the ball to roll down the lane, and the lane's length. I have no idea how to do it, so if someone could show me how to do the equations and get the answer it would be very appreciated. But if you don't know how to do it but you know a website for it I would also be very grateful :)
1 AnswerEngineering9 years agoWhat customs did the Portuguese contribute to Hawaii?
I'm doing a Immigration to Hawaii project for my social studies class and one of the topics was the Portuguese contributions to Hawaii, and I wanted to know what customs they contributed to Hawaii. I've got just about everything else BUT customs.
