4 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoSalmonella in urine sample - Please read?
Hello. Last week, my boyfriend was told that he has salmonella in his urine after it being tested in hospital. The dr said that they will be in touch and explained to be careful, he should wash his hand regularly, which I know he does very often (he always has more than anyone I know). That was the only advice she gave and no explaination as to what caused it. He recently spent a month in hospital for an abcess in his spine. Has anybody else ever had this and have you got any advice on what to do please? Please don't say ask your Dr because it's like trying to get blood out of a stone. Thank you in advance :)
1 AnswerOther - Health1 decade agoPneumothorax - after affects - possible athsma attack?
Hello. One year ago, I had a spontaneous pneumorthorax in my right lung. The air was removed with a seringe and after one night on gas and air, I was sent home the next day. Ever since, I have had terrible pain in my chest, ribs and right arm. I have been back numerous times but sent home after being told that there is nothing wrong with me. I have had many tests for all sorts of things but all clear. I am a 26 year old, normally very fit female, 5 foot and very thin. (6stone 4)
Today, I suffered what seemed to be an athsma attack. My body was gasping for air, I could barely see and I have never been so frightened in my life.
I am going to see my Doctor again tomorrow, but I am scared I will be sent home again.I am in a lot of pain right now. I cannot hold anything and it hurts when I move. Is there anybody out there who can advise me on this because I cannot get help anywhere.
Thanks in advance :)
2 AnswersRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoIngrowing vertebrae? Or something similar - please help.?
Hello. I have just been to a hospital appointment with my BF, after 4 months of agonising pain in his back. The specialist said he was born with 'ingrowing vertebrae' which is now giving him problems. He is 26 years old. I have searched the internet for something on this, but I can find nothing. Has anyone ever heard of this before? What can be done? How will this affect the rest of his life? Is there an operation that can fix this? What should he avoid?
He has no reflexes in his right leg and no movement in the spine.
Please someone, put our minds at rest. I don't understand medical terms, so please can you explain in simple terms. Thanks so much.

does anyone know more about a song called Bill? It was released in the 90's by a female singer about her gay boyfriend. It's a love song, but quite funny. Had it on a compilation album when I was a teenager. I can't find anything about it.
Thanks

2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoBearded Dragon Shedding?
I have an 18 month old BD which I took in less that a month ago. I woke up today and he had "broken" through a layer of skin. His face and back shed but he looked sort of like a tulip. THe skin has peeled a little but it is almost whole and hanging from his waste down, with half of his face still covered. Is it normal for it to take this long (18 hours). I have no experience other than searching over 150 websites today. Nobody says if this is normal. The skin is very thick and he seems very uncomfortable.
3 AnswersReptiles1 decade agobearded dragon. constipated?
I don't know if you have read my last question, but my dragon has been nasty for two days. I have just found out that I've been feeding him completely wrong, and at the same time, I noticed him trying to go to the toilet. He is having a terrible time and I feel so sorry for him. He is trying his hardest. He's even going back and forth trying to eat his wood chippings. I've sprayed him with water. How can I help him??? :( and could this be causing his aggressiveness?
6 AnswersReptiles1 decade agonasty bearded dragon? what have I done?
I took in an unwanted bearded dragon a week ago. He has been so loving and gentle, but the last couple of days, he's been tamping. He is puffing up whenever I go to the tank, and worryingly watching me for days. I've given him 3 pinkies this week, along with cabbage, sprouts, carrots, grapes and some chicken as a treat. And I have given him calcium powder. I spray him a little once daily for him to drink and he has a tray of water in there.
I was told he was nasty, but I thought maybe he wanted attention as he has been stuck in a room alone for a year. He is two years old and quite small for his age compared to some I have seen on Youtube. he has a 150 watt infra red bulb and he has uv light 16 hours per day.
He was so calm and friendly, he fell asleep on his two back legs the other night cuddling up to me through the glass. =] I was giving him time before I starting to handle him. (He's never been handled)
He spends most of the day lying in his water away from the lamp. I am not sure of the temperature (I was told it's correct), but one side is cooler and he spends most time at the cool end (in his water)
What am I doing wrong? I have my heart set on making him happy, but at the moment, I am dubious of opening his tank. I'm trying not to be scared of him. Please help.
4 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoAthritis of the spine, crumbled disk?
... that's what my mother was diagnosed with yesterday after three months of agony. She has been advised to give up work (she is a cleaner at a nursing home) and told that she will always be in this pain. I'm wondering if anyone has anything to offer. She's a young 50 year old and I cannot sleep because I am worried about her.
Is there anything that could be done to help? Should she stay in bed forever? what is the best painkiller? will it ever get better? Will she be entitled to any benefits? HOW CAN I HELP??
I have a million and one questions. We live in Wales in UK and she has been seeing a chiropractitioner for a while now. It's costing £500 and she's as bad now as the day of her first appointment.
I'd appreciate any help at all. Thank you x
