What would be your ideal Democrat Presidential ticket? Pres. and VP either order?
We're still a bit out. Hilary's definitely running who would you like to see her run with or perphaps not at all? What would be your ideal President and VP ticket, either ticket?
4 AnswersElections6 years agoWhat would be your ideal republican presidential ticket, Pres. and VP either order?
I know we're still quite a bit out and no one's announced yet, but what would be your ideal Republican Presidential ticket for both President and VP? either order or none at all is fine
5 AnswersElections6 years agoDo dark dogs feel the sun's heat more than tan or light color coat dogs?
We live in Florida and thinking of getting another dog after sadly our last guy died 6 years ago. He was jet black and I'm wondering if a brown or tan color coat would feel less effects of the sun?

Ok, a little...alright I'll be honest, HUGE wishful thinking. But dreamers gotta dream, right? If unranked Boston College does the unthinkable and upsets Florida State next Saturday in Tallahassee, would that possibly knock FSU out of the playoff championship ?
5 AnswersFootball (American)6 years agoInstead of landfills and ocean dumping why don't major urban areas recycle and compost the bulk of their waste?
I know in the Pacific NW (I think Seatle?) they have really embraced recycling and composting and I realize it is costly to the municipalities and monitoring apartment dwellers is more difficulty than individual homes, but there has got to be a more efficient, environmental feasible and perhaps even profitable process of dealing with household and office waste.
I'm more a fan of incentives than fines and recignize weighing waste for an individual home is a lot easier than an multi unit apartment complex, but there is definitely better methods of dealing with our waste than burning it, burying it or dumping in the oceans which washes onto our beaches.
I believe roughly 1/3 of all landfills are paper products and another 1/3 compost material. That's 60% of our landfills before tackling glass and plastics which we could do better job recycling.
I think manufators of consumer products could and should be involved. The cost savings alone on packing and saved shipping cost on less weight might be incentive enough alone.
1 AnswerGreen Living6 years agoWhy not build a rocket in outer space for interplanetary travel?
As will come a shock to NO ONE, I am not a rocket scientist, but just curious with topics about interplanetary travel and how long it would actually take and if humans could survive and ever make a round trip why not build a rocket propulsion system in outer space which could be docked into after leaving the earth's atmosphere? Is it that it would cost too much or a logistics nightmare to coordinate with various space programs or is it even possible? If not could be built is space could a rocket not be able to carry a smaller rocket into space which without the restrictions of gravity be able to fire a capsule further and faster into space?
9 AnswersAstronomy & Space6 years agoDo the people who hate Fox News actually ever watch FoxNews? Same thing goes for those who slam MSNBC?
Seems like there is usually a high level of vitriol towards Fox News and some towards MSNBC and CNN, why? Do people actual watch any of the channels they despise ?
Full disclosure, I watch Fox and occasionally tune into MSNBC and CNN. Anderson Cooper seems like a decent guy and I think he does a good job. Likewise, Rachel Maddow seems likeable and though often I don't agree with her, I don't think she means ill or is a bad person. Ed Schultz and Melissa Harris, can't handle then so I don't watch them, but I don't spew hate about them. So I am curious the anti Fox, MSNBC and CNN crowds are they being honest or are they just regurgitating what they've heard?
13 AnswersOther - Society & Culture6 years agoThe world is constantly being told that Islam is a religion of peace and that Muslims want to "coexist", where is the evidence to support that?
Please refrain from the hate mongering, name calling and religious dogma. I'm truly interested to know as a group do they want peace or for the non-believers to surrender which is the English translation of islam.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhy stop at $10 or $26 why not make minimum wage $84 so everyone makes what Congress earns and they now earn the same as flipping burgers?
Why stop at $10.10 or $26? Why not make minimum wage $84.13 an hour so everyone makes what Congress earns and they now earn the same as flipping burgers?
Can anyone cite where and how raising the minimum actually did anything for the poor, other than raise the prices of goods and services they were paying for?
14 AnswersPolitics7 years agoWhy is there little outrage of no American Flag on May 5th, reading the Bible on you own free time and holocaust denier essay assignment?
On May 5th schools in TX, CA and CO informed students if they came dressed in something displaying the American flag they wold be sent home because it is racist, even though not all of Mexico celebrates the holiday. In Ft Lauderdale a 12yr old had his Bible confiscated and his parents were called informing them he could not read that type of material during his free time. In CA high school students were assigned an 18 page paper of why the holocaust was made up propaganda so Jews could get more money and power.
This are just news stories from this week, yet no outrage and little if any coverage by ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, NPR, MSNBC, why?
