  • Is there a way I can interrupt his Internet connection?

I have an incredibly annoying little brother who causes arguments at home. I m 28 and live with my folks because I am completing a degree. He s 11. He shouts and screams at the top of his voice at his computer game. I chastise him because it s not necessary or pleasant to be around. My parents just ignore it. I think it should be a matter of discipline but I guess we disagree, and this causes arguments.

What I want to know is, is there a way I can interrupt his Internet connection? WITHOUT turning the wifi hub off? So whenever he is shouting, I can turn off his connection, thus disrupting his game. Hopefully reducing shouting slightly, even if it doesn t it might give me some satisfaction XD i know i can adjust hub settings from my laptop as have done this in the past to solve issues. But is there a way I can use this to disconnect his PS3 briefly?

  • If someone has a history of being detained under the mental health act (in the UK), what can they no longer do?

I know they can no longer emigrate, or join the armed forces. But there are other things such as jobs they can no longer do, and travel restrictions... and I have been searching for hours trying to find this information but cannot find it! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How does accountability differ between nurses and midwives?

I have been asked to identify how accountability is different between nurses ad midwives. I know midwives can be a lot more independent when it comes to treating normal pregnancies. I have been looking through the NMC guidelines but am finding it difficult to extract anything of use. Can anyone help?

  • What is the difference between health promotion MODELS, APPROACHES and THEORIES?

I am an adult nursing student and have an assignment where I have to discuss a leaflet I've designed, in relation to health promotion theories and models. Now all my previous notes detail APPROACHES.

Can anyone try and clear up for me what the differences are between models, approaches and theories when it comes to health promotion? Or are they similar and interchangeable words for essentially the same thing?

I have notes on: Medical approach, Behavioural changes approach, Educational approach, client centred approach, societal change approach. If I were to address them in the assignment and change the word approach to model... would I be doing wrong?

Please help... I am getting incredibly frustrated over it. Thanks.

  • What's wrong with my rat?

She is quite old now and always has blood in her fur directly round her eyes . I can see blood spots on the cage where she sneezes blood. I've had many rats in the past and know they are prone to tumours and strokes as they get older but i see no lumps, and she has not had a stroke that I can see any evidence of. I was thinking it could be some sort of allergy or something?

I'm not taking her to the vet as he will probably just say he doesn't know what's wrong and charge me a stupid fee. Has anyone experienced this before as I feel so sorry for her and want to help her :-(

    Thanks

I have only 4 flags left... I used a map and could have swore I collected them in numerical order according to the map... yet I'm still missing 4. Does anyone know of any "cheats" to find out the missing ones?

  • jpeg/bmp files.... the size of my picture??

I took some pics with my webcam, only when i went to look at them off the webcam they were tiny little pictures... no good for putting on profiles or anything.

I noticed the format of the files had changed (maybe cause i moved them from their original folder) so i opened them in paint and then saved them as Jpegs. however i have still lost the size...

So how come when i opened them with the webcam programme they were a decent size but now they're so small?

I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me how to get these pictures bigger :-)

    cheers
