  • What does she think of me?? Does she really like me that much? She seems pretty interested but im a little confused. Am I set on a date?

Hi all! Im a 22 year old guy. There is this girl who was in one of my classes. We never spoke to each other for the whole semester, yet the day of the Final.. Yes the last day of class she sat behind me and really was trying to talk to me. She was asking a lot of questions about me, not really personal. But I felt that she was into me..

Ok but then I added her on fb. And then I just wanted to know what she thought of me. I felt she liked me since she was talking to me the day of the final. I asked her if she wanted to hang out in manhattan she said yeah, let me know what weekend. And then I told her lets hang out next week, and I said Ill see who else will come. And shes like "Nooo im antisocial come on please just me and u." .... What does that mean???? It seems like so convenient? What does she want? Does she wanna be my girlfriend does she like me or what? As a friend or what??

Please help, I never had a girlfriend or EVER WENT OUT A TRIP WITH A GIRL BEFORE. IS THIS A DATE?

  • Does Microbio and Anatomy and physiology 1 & 2 count as bio for MD/DO/Podiatric schools?

Hi all. I took Anatomy and physiology 1 and 2 (BIO 2210 and 2310 with Lab) and General Microbiology with Lab. I didn't take General Bio 1 and 2 but these classes. Would the classes I take count as Bio 1 and 2 for the professional schools???

  • Do I have a chance of getting into Podiatric or Osteopathic medical schools??? My science gpa is a 3.4 overall 3.3.?

Hi all. I'm current thinking about my chances to get into a Doctor of osteopathic or podiatry school.

Currently my overall GPA is a 3.3, my science gpa is a 3.4 for DO school and a 3.35 for Podiatric school.. However I still have a few semesters to lift them up. If I retake organic chem 1 and 2, and ace those classes, I could have an Osteopathic medical science gpa of a 3.7 or even higher.

I haven't taken the MCAT yet, I am preparing for it at the moment.

As for volunteering, I have 5 years of volunteering at a Hospital among patients and medical doctors, I volunteer at a DO's office and shadow under a DO sometimes. I also am a Registered Nurse that is conducting research on the incidence of Diabetes and Hypertension among minorities and I perform health screening at a Senior center.

I know my grades are somewhat low, however I am not trying to do MD obviously because their requires are way higher than what I have.

Yet, I researched podiatric schools.. their science gpa averages are around a 3.1 and the overall if a 3.2, so I surpass those and still am trying to.

Do schools have science averages around a 3.3 - 3.4, so clearly I have time to raise my grades.

Do I have a chance to get into either Podiatric or Do schools?

    Thanks.

  • Question about Grade Replacement when applying to Doctor of osteopathic medicine schools..?

I have a question regarding Grade replacement when applying to a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine school. I took courses in the past Titled Chem 1110: Introduction to General and Organic Chemistry I with Lab (4 credits) and Chem 1120: Introduction to General and Organic Chemistry II with Lab (4 credits), however I am unable to retake that specific class. If I instead took Chem 2210 Organic Chemistry I with Lab (4 credits) and 2310 Organic Chemistry II with Lab (4 credits), would the grades in those classes respectively replace Chem 1110 and 1120 in terms of GPA Calculation? I also took General Chemistry I and II with labs (4 credits each) in the past.

Also I took Bio 2000: Molecular and cell biology without lab (3 credits) and Bio 3000: Organismic Biology (3 credits) and I was wondering if General Biology I with lab (4 credits) and General Biology II with lab ( 4 credits) would also respectively replace the former courses in terms of GPA calculation.

    Thanks,

  • Abandoning my past and letting go of people who I knew my whole life. I feel free.?

Hi all. Im 22 years old and Im in a career that I enjoy and has a great deal of demand. For nearly 18 years I felt a part of a family of cousins, relatives, and friends who I trusted, was able to confide in, enjoy time and laugh with... Basically we were a family.

But recently for 4 years that all changed. My whole college career which is the last 4 years of my life, my relatives have just disappointed me. A lot of them ridiculed me, insulted me, and degraded me. I sought help from certain people, but basically it backfired greatly, as people viewed me as a bully and an enemy.

Although I never wanted to hurt anyone, whatever, it is what it is. Thats life I guess. And then I decided to forget about and just throw out a Large amount of relatives out of my life. And since then, I have been extremely happy. I haven't been feeling like crap, and I stopped a lot of old habits. In fact... I have been enjoying life.

Yet, I still hear news about those relatives hurting one of my uncles who has a great business, and essentially trying to profit themselves while destroying my uncle. I expected this, because I know how people were with me, nasty and carefree and not caring.

What I'm doing and asking is what do you guys think about my decision to abandon those I don't want to be around anymore. I don't feel guilty, I only feel bad when these people try to creep back into my life. All these people remind me of just a terrible past that I don't want to be a part of anyone.

  • Do I have a chance of getting into DO/Podiatric school with a 3.30 overall and a 3.40 science gpa?

HI all. I am currently an Undergrad Nursing Student with a 3.30 overall for DO school and a 3.40 science gpa for DO school and a 3.30 overall and 3.30 science gpas for Podiatric school. I am thinking about trying for DO/Podiatric schools. By the end of this fall semester I will hopefully have a 3.35 overall and a 3.55 science gpa, BCP gpa = 3.6. So clearly my grades are going up. I am not applying for Fall 15', so that Means I still have plenty of time to boost my grades.

I guess most of you will say that my grades are low, Yes but most colleges I looked at have Average science gpas around 3.2 and overall generally around a 3.4 - 3.5. I am looking More at dental since I am great at math and perception and I think I'll get like above a 25 on the DAT. Plus I have tons of hospital volunteering experience at a Hospital / med surg floor, rehab department, and I still have time to get more experience within Dental. Im even going to be shadowing under a DO Physician very soon (maybe around 30 hours).

I took Microbio w/ lab (got an A), ANP 1 2 w/ lab (got As in both), Physics without calculus 1, 2 w/ lab (got an A), Statistics (got an A), Calculus 1 (got an A), Calculus 2 (got a B), General Chem 1 (A-), however I still have to take Chem 1 and Organic 1 and 2.

Clearly I did good in my prereqs, but Do I have a reasonable chance if I keep boosting my grades? I know I have to just improve my stats to improve my chances. but any other suggestions? Thanks!!!

  • Should I become a Nurse Practitioner or become a Medical Doctor from a financial standpoint?

Hi all! Lets say I had the option of getting either into Family Nurse Practitioner school and later become a Nurse Anesthesist or just getting into Medical School. Why I am asking is that I want to know which makes more $. Yes it comes down to that. Im talking purely from a business point of view. I currently have a house that my parents will give to me that would produce 40-50k a year when rented out completely. So that would be added to whatever income I would get as an NP. I Know NPs make 90 - 110k in NY (where I live) and Medical Doctors make (170-210 k) in the FIELDS I am interested in if I went to medical school: Pediatrics, psychiatric, and family medicine. So basically as an NP I would make 150 k when combining my assets. But If I became a doctor, I would have so much debt that the house would basically be worthless as I would be paying massive debt off.

I am just wondering if I would be making almost the same, but have more stress and responsibilities and debt as a Medical doctor in those fields I just said, Why shouldn't I just become a NP and a NA later while keeping my house asset?

So I guess I am asking is, which would you guys suggest I do to live a more happier life, as I would rather not become a doctor if I could make the same as a NP but not go through all those tough years as a medical student and resident. Thanks.

  • How does it really feel to make a lot of money and be in a respectful profession such as a doctor or lawyer?

I am just wondering. How do people usually feel when they are a Big shot lawyer, a medical doctor or some big shot person who makes over 300 grand? Does it really feel great all the time? or does the feeling of having a lot of money feel good in the beginning but just level off and feel normal later on. Because sometimes I obsess constantly about making a lot of money and doing big things in my life, but when I do achieve things, usually the happiness is temporary and does not last. I wonder how people like Medical Doctors feel when they do become like a plastic surgeon and make a lot.

  • PLEASE ANSWER GIRLS!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER??? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GIRL??!!!?

Hi all. There is this girl in my history class who I barely know. I never went out of my way to talk to her. Never. She is the one who tried talking to me. A few weeks ago she always broke the ice by asking me for homework help. And then one time Idk I tried talking to her instead of just about hw, and she actually spoke to me. Idk if I am just seeing things but the times we did talk she was always like trying to sound clever, funny, but not smart. And then another week later, we spoke in the beginning, but later in the class she Looked Extremely pissed off.

Everytime after class she just walks out of class, never saying good bye to me. And today Idk she broke the ice by asking me what I thought of something in class. Idk, we here and there said things to each other. But later in the class I told her I like math, and she said she likes history. But then she told these 2 other guys that I like math and that I was a Nursing Major. The guys said "wrong field to be in." I didn't kare. I did not want to do a math field because they don't make money. But then the girl said something about "Its good that hes a nerd since he can do good in a field." And I noticed she was laughing at me with 2 other guys.

Never before Had I felt so bad, I don't even know why shes even bothering to talk to me. I Feel confident in myself and I am proud that I work hard. Shes just a slacker and I never thought of anything abou her. But it makes me think why does she go out of her way to talk to m
