Help with the pronunciation of Jael, a Bible name....?
In the book of Judges,chapter 4:17-24, 5:6, and 5:24-27 speak of a woman named Jael. Dictionaries that I have found give yaw ale' and Ya 'el as pronunciations. I am interested in using this as a baby's name as she was a powerful woman and would like to be sure the sound is correct. If anyone has insight or is familiar with the original language that would help also. Thanks in advance!
