So im getting my horse a new numnah and rug and havnt got a clue about what colours suit him.

4 AnswersHorses10 years agoOwners of coloured horses poll?
So im doing a little poll for coloured horse owners or people who go to shows where a lot of coloured horses are.
What colours(numnahs buckets etc..) do you use for your coloured?/what colours have you seen been worn on coloureds at shows?
I recently got a skewbald horse and i don't know what coloures to have on him.I don't want something that's really common (hence the poll)
10 AnswersHorses10 years agoRiding excersises, feet, legs and shoulders/back?
so since i fell off i cant stop leaning forward and my shoulders tense a lot. is there any exercises that will help me sit straight and relax my shoulders?
My feet also point out to the side. when i try and push them so they are facing straight it hurts. what exercises can i do?
also ( apparently this is because ive only ridden cobs so i learn to ride with my legs far forward. i don't know if this is the case or i that i didn't have the best instructor in the world who helps your position) my leg sits far forward. are there any exercises that i can do to help bring them back.
i would prefer it if most of the exercises weren't on the horse as mine doesn't stand still and always wants to go.
or any sports that help improve the muscles?
thanks :)
5 AnswersHorses10 years agoA few questions about desensitizing?
what sort of home made things can you put out to desensitize? Also could you include pics?
i know this may sound stupid but will your horse not think of you as someone who brings scary things?
or will this only happen if you give in and leave it when you introduce it and they spook?
Also separate question but if you took your horse to a natural horsemanship clinic would they make you 'join up'?
thanks :)

1 AnswerSculpture1 decade agoConformation- yes i know the dreaded question but it hasn't been done in a while?
So yeah i know conformation questions gets done alot but i havnt seen one in a while so here it is:
what do you think of my horses conformation? He is a 16hh chestnut 6 yr old thoroughbred
yes in all the pictures HE IS STANDING ON A SLOPE ( his withers and bum are the same hight not on a slope http://www.flickr.com/photos/50724671@N05/56913642... )and they arnt the best as i was on my own and he will never stand square- but i got him to in one pic! although theres no head!- so anyway here are the pictures
1. http://www.flickr.com/photos/50724671@N05/56907729... yes i know standing on a hill and head/neck = horendous for a confo pic but he is actually standing square!
2.http://www.flickr.com/photos/50724671@N05/56907729... standing square head and neck= disaster
3.http://www.flickr.com/photos/50724671@N05/56907728... head and neck is up but not standing square.
let me know what you think! :)
also if this affects it anyway then he has been used for hacking and has gone over a pole once yesturday

5 AnswersHorses1 decade agoCould he really of been gelded at 4?
so i looked at my geldings passport which was issued july 2010 and it says he is 'entire'. he came from a racing stud. could he really of been gelded at 4 and still act like a gelding? he is so docile most all of the time. he does sniff up mares bums sometimes but doesnt really do anything its more of a interested sniff. he is also out at the moment with a mare would he act diffrently when she is in season if he was gelded last year? could it all be a misprint?
