Why do some people say that DVDs played in Blu-Ray players look better than they do on standard DVD players?
I have alwayd heard that standard DVDs played on a Blu-Ray player will "up-convert" the picture quality. I have played DVDs on my Blu-Ray, and the picture is so muddy, almost blurry. Is there a way to adjust a Blu-Ray player so that standard DVDs don't look like garbage? Or should I hold on to my standard DVD player?

I have a Toshiba TV, and connected it to a Panasonic home theater system. Whenever I would watch DVDs, the audio and video would be out of sync. Toshiba's Regza link system likely works with their Regza DVD players, but they don't make complete home theater systems, and I don't want to buy a Toshiba DVD player and only be able to hear audio from the TV speakers. Can anyone recommend a home theater system that works with Toshiba Regza TVs, and doesn't cause the audio and video to be out of sync? Thanks.
