  • At what point is it too early to apply for job?

First, I would like to thank anyone that might be able to offer insight, in advance. I appreciate your opinions.

My question is: I am leaving Active Duty (Army) with approximately 85 days of 'Terminal Leave," which is pretty much vacation days, for anyone unaware. I will be returning to North Carolina at the end of March and will be looking to start new employment around the beginning of May....June at the latest.

I would like to have a position lined up within the next month and a half (February or March), however, I am unsure as to whether or not this would drive employers away? I am currently in Alaska, so will be unable to attend any face to face interviews.

Would it be recommended that I apply for a position starting now or sometime in the next month, or should I wait until I get to North Carolina at the end of March, so as to provide the opportunity for an in-person interview?

  • Story loosely based on Dionysus-Bacchus?

I have been scouring the internet to find a story that I vaguely recall reading some years ago. I am have the hardest time remembering the title and a majority of the book....

It is basically about a young man that is taken over/turns into Dionysus. If I remember correctly, there was a cult trying to resurrect him so that Dionysus can rule and the Earth can be an endless festival (drinking, sex, etc).

This came up in conversation, and I am hoping to find someone that might have read this. Thanks in advance!

  • Compatible Tire Sizes: Chevy Trailblazer EXT?

I currently have 245/65 r17's on my truck, and am wondering if there is a way to determine what other sizes I can run? I am in Alaska and need to change to a certain type, however, cannot find my exact size for sale without spending a ridiculous amount. I have found a set of P235/65 r16's, and would like to know if I can run these without any adverse actions? If you can answer this question or provide a site to help me answer this question, that would be great! Thanks!

  • How hard is it for someone in the military to get into the entertainment industry?

I am going to be stationed in Fort Irwin so I can be close to LA. How difficult will it be to start doing background work (being an extra and all) while in the military? Has anyone had experience in this situation? Thanks
