How to look professional,be modest & not disrespect my husband....please help!!?

I have been covering my hair for the last 3 years....for modesty mainly and because I am married to a Muslim man. Where I lived all my friends were Muslims so it was no big deal because all the women around me covered. My dilemna is that I just moved last Thursday to another state where I lived once before I started covering my hair. Now all my friends are Christian like myself and they do not cover. I totally feel out of place & stick out like a sore thumb. When I went to church on Sunday a lady asked me did I have cancer. I said no and I felt bad because there are ladies that have cancer that go to that church & they wear scarfs. I also do not think I will get a good job because technically I do not wear it for religious reasons. I wear it for modesty but now I am thinking of not wearing it to church or to work. I will still wear it while I am with my husband, outside of work and outside of church. **Please only serious replies.** **I am losing sleep over this..please help!!

It has been 20 onths since i had a relaxer in my hair...my hair is naturally wavy but it is not completely wavy and is still some what straight at the bottom..it hard to manage because it is frizzy so i usually just wear a scarf...please help
