Hi there! I am a kind person most of the time, and respectful too. I do normally try to answer questions as honest and nicely as I can, but sometimes I can't help but be a trouble maker and say glib things. Talk at ya later.

  • Is her secret hobby wrong?

My best friend is a newlywed. She and her husband are very happy. However, my friend has told me that she had a secret hobby that she does not tell her husband about, and it is somewhat of a sexual nature. She writes and posts online erotic stories, on an erotica site. She does not contact other readers or authors, or so she says. And she doubts her husband would be upset if she did tell him. She just enjoys keeping it to herself. She didn't tell me which site she uses or what her user name is...because she said she wouldn't feel comfortable having someone close to her read her stories. I am not sure if she should be keeping secrets so early in the marriage. Is this harmless, as she says it is? Or, is it wrong?

    Thx!

  • If you found out someone in your extended family did this?

If you found out that a male member of your extended family (and I really mean in laws) molested another memeber of your in law family a long time ago and has never served justice or had treatment...could you allow that person into your home? Could you allow that person near your child (even fully supervised)? Could you do it for your spouse? Bare in mind no one had told you the "full" story of what exactly happened. Would just the possibility be enough to cut them out of your life forever?

This is not hypothetical. This happened to me and I found out shortly after my daughter was born. I cut this person out of my life and my children's life. I have had members of MY family try to make me feel guilty for doing so. They liked the perv!

  • Can this spread?

    Hi there,

A little girl in my daycare has a yeast infection. She has had it on and off for over a month. She often reaches into her diaper to itch. I try to watch her closely and stop her- then clean her hands.

Today she came to my home and she has a red patch on her cheek and odd redness all around her eyes.

So, can they spread like that? Could it be yeast infection on her face and around here eyes?

I am trying to convince her mother to take her to the Dr., and I think she is going to. I am nervous about my daughter getting one as well. I am Lysoling everything!

    Thx!

  • Poor parenting or picky sitter?

Am I just being picky? When I used to work, my child was in daycare. I always made sure to provide everything my child needed.

Now I am home and I provide care for a friend’s child in my home. She pays me for this, but approx. $40 less than I would charge another. Her child comes to me filthy several times a wk. The child has had rashes/yeast infections for the past 5 wks. I get the child mostly cleared up during the wk, using my own rash cream as my friend doesn’t send any except for when the child has a yeast inf. I often have to use my child’s sunscreen as she “forgets”that too. She often forgets to send a change of clothes, and I have to use my child’s clothes.

Don’t get me wrong. She is a loving mother, just 1 of those people that forgets a lot. I might add she is a single mom, as her BF is in and out. But she does live with her mom. It just bugs me cause when it comes to my child I hold myself to a higher standard with regards to care and wellbeing. Am I alone here?

  • Who is more wrong?

I have thought my spouse has been a little sneaky for a while. This morning I went through his cell phone and checked his sent text messages. I found one from an old ex-girlfriend that he recently found again on Facebook. I confronted him. He feels violated because I went through his cell. I feel violated because he is having secret communication with this woman. I also might add he has flat out told me he wasn't even talking to her on facebook anymore.

We are both wrong...but who is more wrong in your opinion.

    Please...helpful answers. I just don't need a BS today! :)

    Thank you.

  • Parents, do you have some kid related bragging you would like to do?

Hi, if you would like to do some kid-related bragging I would love to hear it.

I am personally proud of my little girl for doing super well with potty training, brushing her teeth with floride tooth paste and not swollwing any, and giving up her soother a while back.

What a big girl she is becoming. :)

  • If you won a lottery tomorrow what would be your top five things to do?

I think most of us have given this some thought. So, tomorrow you win a good sized lottery. You can pretty much do what you like. What would be your top 5 things to do with your winnings?

    Mine:

    1. Help family and close friends

    2. Secure saving for my kids, and mine and my husband's future.

    3. Buy a big house and great cars

    4. Give to charity

    5. Get married all over again - and have a wedding fit for royalty. Then take an amazing honeymoon.

  • Where is the strangest place you have ever "done it"??

Where...try to be clean if you can. Was it on the hood of a car in the rain? In the forest while camping? Under the bleachers at school? Where was the most strange place? No lies...

  • Did she have a right to snap at me?

I provide care for my friend's child. The child came to my home with a bad rash (pretty bad actually, but the child had been fine the week before). My friend provided 2 creams she thought might work once mixed together.

I used them all day, but it did not even lessen the redness. So, the following day I tried 1 time a cream that I have. It is a name brand diaper rash ointment that is hypoallergenic and has Oatmeal in it. It also did not seem to make a difference so I promptly continued use of my friend's creams. I advised her that I tried my cream on her child and she seemed ok with that.

Today, she calls to check on her child. I advise her that the rash has not changed for better or worse. She suddenly snaps at me and asks if I used the Oatmeal rash cream again. I told her I did not. She then told me that she had called a nurse the night before and Oatmeal rash cream makes things worse. Did she have a right to snap at me? Did I do anything that wrong?

  • My almost three year old has a swollen eye?

We took my almost three year old daughter camping this weekend. The bugs weren't terribly bad, but she did get two bites. One on her forehead and the other right next to her eye. On Sunday the one next to her eye looked normal. On Monday is was kind of a welt. And this morning it's a bigger welt and her eye is starting to swell a little. What should I do? Does this warrent a doctors appt? Or, is this one of those put ice on it (which we are currently doing) and wait it out?

Please no unfriendly answers. We take very good care of our daughter, but I try not to fill the doctor's office for no reason. Thank you so much everyone!!! :)

  • Why do other drivers badly cut me off and then give me the finger?

Honestly, why do people do this? Usually they are gabbing away to their passenger or on their cell. They cut me off and I honk and they give me the finger, even with my small daughter in the car!!! Why?? Do you do this?
