Hello, this may sound weird, but I am seeking, not a job, but maybe a volunteer-friendly computer support place to "work" at. I am very good on computers, am not expecting ANY payment, and know a lot about computer tune-up and diagnostics skills. I have always loved computers, and what prompted my ad was the fact that I took a career pathway test, and computer support person popped up as #2 on the results. I live in the Whitmore Lake area (48189), near Ann Arbor. I am 13 years old, born December 16th 1996. I also have insight in web browser and software advantages, and modding firefox for speed. I have to do a social studies project...I have to describe school life, home life, and possible jobs or chores... any leisure activities (pass-times) I am from the US...how does it compare? any help would be great!

I have a 2GB file system drive I would like to use as a swap partition. (It is a drive, I would like to use the whole thing) I am an windows XP user that is used to GUI solutions...Is there an easy way of doing this? I know that my 2GB partition is WAY faster! Thanks!

Hello, I own a Pentium 4 3.20 Ghz Hyper Threading capable processor...would a dual core 2.56 Ghz be faster...(5.12 Ghz?) Does the dual core mean that the speed is doubled? Does hyper threading actually help? I am usually good at computers but this confuses me!

I own a Dell Dimension E310 (3100) running XP SP3, it has an integrated video card and I need to remove it from my system... I uninstalled it in hardware manager and now it keeps showing up in the found new hardware wizard... there is no option to disable it in the BIOS, Is there any way I can stop XP from detecting it... thank you!!!

I was wondering if there is any way to stop animation in farmville or make it load faster, I do not mean adjust the gameplay speed but more like, adding more RAM, without adding more RAM! I already have a gig of RAM and a very fast dual core processor, but farmville stutters and it is because of the animations... I am using a laptop so the graphics card sucks...please I want a free way to speed it up... again stopping the animations would be nice!

My computer runs very slow, because it has only 512MB of RAM, I would like to remove the limewire 5 home screen (The default screen it goes to when it loads) The animations freeze my computer, removing the animations would be great!!! Also, if it is possible to remove the splash screen... that would be GREAT!!!

PS: Please don't yell at me for using limewire...I only use it to download Royalty free music (NON COPYRIGHTED) and other various files from the P2P network!

I was wondering where I can download HD/HQ music, (Not videos) I am talking about Uncompressed music files OR an MP3 or AAC with a bit rate of at least 256KBPS and a sampling rate of at least 48Khz, anything would be great! I am trying to play files on my stereo system using my PSP, any MP3 files I have that are less than 256KBPs sound distorted, but everything else id fine! Please post some links, I don't want any membership or store sites... thank you!!!

I recently obtained a nice speaker system that my friends dad purchased in Vietnam.... It uses what I identified to be a "Europlug" or Type C Vietnamese plug (220 volts/50 hz) I live in the brighton/ annarbor area in michigan. (Of course, it's in the U.S.A) I need an adapter for around 10 bucks... it doesn't need any features, it just has to adapt the plug... I am very anxious to use these! Just in case anyone was wondering... it is a Crown CM 303 speaker system, although I cannot seem to find it anywhere in their site... thank you for helping me! (The plug has 2 round pins...no ground)

Hello, I am wondering, I have limewire pro 5.3.6, I download torrents every once in a while and I get a 5-8 kbps speed, is there any way to fix this, any settings in the program, I am using SBC internet services and linked to my router using 802.11G, my internet connection speed (as reported by speedtest.net) is 1.19mbps (Through CNET'S test it says 768kbps) I also have 88% packet loss (pingtest.net) any way to fix that? free? any help would be appreciated!!!

I know people like firefox. I know people think download accelerators don't do any good. I like them. I want to use safari 4. I need to know of any good downthemall alternatives compatible with safari4 and greasemonkey for windows alternatives.
