  • gay bars in Las Vegas?

I am leaving for Las Vegas on Friday and am turning 21 on Saturday. Can anyone recommend a good gay bar for me to visit where I can drink, dance, have fun, make out with cute guys and possibly hook up? LOL. Also, handicap accessibility would be nice since I have cerebral palsy and use a walker.

    Thanks fellas!

  • What are the best gay bar(s) in Las Vegas?

I am leaving for Las Vegas on Friday. I turn 21 on Saturday, and being a newly fledged queer in the Sin City, would appreciate recommendations for a good gay bar or gay club to visit while there. I had heard that 8 1/2 and Piranha were good clubs.. I want a club where I can drink a little, dance a lot, have fun without being overly creeped out or overcrowded, where I can make out with someone randomly and possibly do, ahem, other stuff.. LOL.. and most importantly, one that has some modicum of handicapped accessibility..I am handicapped and use canes or a walker. Does such a club exist? I would appreciate tips from locals.

    Thank you from the Midwest!

    sincerely.

  • Can someone tell me about black girls? ?

    Hello,

I've had some trouble maintaining my friendships with two black girls. Both are young women, from working-class background, in pursuit of a college degree. I am a dorky white gay male. LOL. My first black female friend at college- let's call her "Dea". Dea and I were inseperable, then she started hanging out with a bad crowd. I was polite to one of her friends who I didn't like, and I would tell her how I didn't like him, which understandably made her angry. She started hanging around with people who did a ton of drugs and that made ME angry and I told her we couldn't be friends if she kept that up. I was bluffing because I wanted her to tell me whether or not she was doing drugs. She called my bluff. I was sad, but moved on. Looking back, whenever I tried to do something nice for her, she reacted with hostility and would say things like, "OH I DON'T NEED A MAN!" etc. My other black friend, let's call her "Martha".. "Martha" was a very nice girl. We were getting along fine until she started having problems. She became distant and I immediately wanted to know what was the matter. I didn't really respect her space.. but I was concerned. I really cared about her.

She exploded and said that I was "clingy" and had made her "uncomfortable".

I really loved both Martha and Dea as friends. In both cases, issues of control were involved. I butted in where I was not wanted. They didn't like that and kicked me out of their lives. That's their right. But I miss them both. And I really DO CARE! The reason I butted in like that was because I care and didn't want them to get hurt.. they didn't seem to understand.

This pattern has repeated itself, not just with Martha and Dea, but with many many black girls I've known. Now I am really looking for answers from black women.. it seems like the girls I met acted confused and hostile when I took an interest in them. Maybe I'm just a loser, tell me that if you want, but it seems like black women don't know what they want and are insecure. Am I wrong? Are there some serious cultural signals getting crossed here? I only want to understand.

  • Can I be buried in a Catholic cemetery without having a Catholic memorial service? ?

I am a born-and-raised, non-practicing Catholic. Both my parents are as well, and to the best of my knowledge, so are all my ancestors. My grandfather, who was more devout, had a Catholic memorial service. There was a cross in his coffin and priests said chants over him and whatnot. I was uncomfortable with this aspect of this service and decided that I do not want a Catholic funeral. But I do want to be buried in the Catholic cemetery where all my family and ancestors were and are buried. So my question is, can I be buried in my ancestors' Catholic cemetery, WITHOUT first having a Catholic service beforehand? I don't think so but I am not sure, and if this were allowed, it would be the "best of both worlds" for me. If not, I guess I will just have to bite the bullet (metaphorically speaking; I'll be dead) and have a Catholic service.. thoughts?

  • should i tell him?

I am in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend, who i love very much but am having doubts about, just because of the distance. Last night at a party, I kissed my friend "Rhys". Not his real name.. Rhys and I have always been close but kissing is all we did.. he lives in the Twin Cities and I never see him anymore. But feelings were definitely stirred, and I would have done more had he asked.. Kissing was all but i still feel guilty..should I tell my boyfriend?

Please respond ONLY if you can provide an intelligent answer in coherent, properly spelled English! Thanks.

  • help with identifying an antique rug?

Hi, I need help with identifying an old rug. A friend of mine, an Englishman who now resides in Florida, possesses this rug. It is white with white tassels, and a black border around the rug itself. The design is quite intriguing as red, black and white are the only colors used. Repeated motifs are a black circle made into quarters, colored in with red, two rows of three black triangles with red dots on them, three sideways flames with lines around them, and what looks like three chickens or three birds, repeated throughout the rug..

My friend was born in Karachi Pakistan in 1965 and this rug was given to his parents by Pakistani friends at the time of his birth...if anyone knowledgeable can help me I.D. this rug, he and I would thank you. We think it may be a Muslim prayer rug...peace. The birds do not show eyes (an Islamic prohibition!)

    thanks

    xxx

any knowledgeable, serious help would be appreciated.

  • Are colored contacts any good?

Hi, I was wondering if colored contacts have a noticeable effect...do they actually make your eyes brighter colored and look like the iris has changed, or is it just a small effect? Thanks.

  • I'm so embarrassed-masturbation failure?

I am embarrassed to even be asking this question, so only adult and responsible answers please.

I was masturbating yesterday after not masturbating for four days. I was edging myself a lot and it felt divine, but then when I jerked off all the way it felt painful. Why? What did I do wrong? I was really looking forward to the pleasure after four days of nothing..

  • letters to Paula?

    Hello All,

I just love Miss Paula Deen and her show on Food Network, she's one of the *many* reasons i want to someday visit the great city of Savannah GA,

But I want to send her a letter, I mean a real printed letter, and hopefully get something back from her. I have been searching the Net high and low for some glimmer of an address- c'mon the woman at least has got to have an address for fan mail, a post office box, something. I haven't found any such thing.

can anybody hook me up with an address for Paula, or Paula's fan club, or w/e?

as a last resort I may send her a leter using the address for her restaurant in Savannah- the Lady and Sons, but really...

  • walnut stamp?

This morning as I was cracking walnuts, I noticed an insignia individually stamped in red ink on the shell of each walnut. It said "Diamond" and had a little design underneath..what does this mean and/or signify? My thoughts were that it could be the name of the farm that produced them, the name of the company, or even the varietal of walnut...thoughts?

  • tough biscuits?

I have made biscuits so many times that I joked to my mother, even if I were in a coma, I could still make them reflexively if I had the ingredients in front of me. They are one of my favorite breads. One problem that keeps cropping up, though, is that my biscuits are always tough, crisper and harder in texture that I'd like, I want them to be soft and buttery and flaky. What can I do to fix this problem? Am I working the dough too much or not adding enough butter or overbaking them? Help needed from experienced biscuit bakers.

  • Lover Man?

I have asked many questions like this in a similar vein, but my own disillusionment prompts me to ask again, just to gauge the realities in what is technically "my" community. The idiocies written by certain members of this section haven't abated noticeably, yet I shall gallantly take up the glove and proceed...

I have seen so many gay men be promiscuous, and lie, and cheat, I am becoming very saddened and dillusioned (at 18). I have been propositioned lots of times for sex but relationships?? Young men my age seem to find relationships rather secondary, in fact both sexes of my generation find them secondary. And it makes me so sorrowful and angry.

So my question is, is it ever really possible for me to have a loving, long lasting, monogamous relationship with another person of my same gender?

  • Le Marseillaise?

The French national anthem is Le Marseillaise...does anyone know where I can find a French/English page of all the lyrics, and who does a good performance of the song? A good performance meaning a single singer, using good technique and CLEAR enunciation so that I can get the words...

PS I think the scene in Casablanca where they are singing Le Marseillaise is the best. I also "collect" different national anthems, I know the Spanish, South African, Pakistani, Basque and Australian anthems, among others.

    Thanks.

And to the French- jai t'aime
