Tv physical buttons/remote not responding picture stayed on, but sound quit.?
Interesting problem with my tv. I was in the middle of watching a show and the volume cut off (picture unaffected) Thought I hit mute, but when I tried the remote and the physical buttons none of them worked at all (at this point show still playing with no power)
Unplugged the TV and waited a min then plugged it in. Power is going to the tv, but now cannot be turned back on because the problem with not responding to the physical/remote controls persist.
Any ideas?

Solve this derivative and give steps?
Basically I have f(x) and I already have what the derivative is supposed to look like, but I have to show the intermediary steps to get to it. The problem is that I have no problem taking the derivative of f(x), it's just quotient + product + chain rule, but I cannot get it simplified to the form specified (both f(x) and what the derivative are supposed to look like are in the picture). Can anyone help and show steps? We are allowed to use the product rule, power rule, chain rule, derivative rules (such as sum and difference rules, etc.) as well as algebraic simplification. I know this is a lot to ask, but I have come at this problem every way I know how and I just cannot get it.
TL;DR : Can you show steps from f(x) in the picture to the derivative (f'(x)) in the picture? (Including the algebraic simplification.)

Solving this geometry problem (Cylinder hoisted by a chain)?
So, I have been working on this problem for a while and cannot figure out how to do it...so I have come here for help. Here it is...
A cylinder with a diameter of 10 inches is hoisted by a chain on a hook (the chain is wrapped around the cylinder and leaves it and comes to a point at the hook...I have attatched a picture, not drawn to scale...) the chain is 38 inches long, what is the height of the space between the top of the circle and the point of the chain?
I do not just want the answer, I would also like to know how you got the answer if possible (with steps) so I can see how close I was to it.

Well, say this scenario happens...
1) I play piracy, and attempt to tap 3 of my opponents lands to play a spell
2) Instead, my opponent says he is tapping all of his lands and adding that mana to his pool...
3) I get pissed because I'm not really sure if he can do that...
4) I come here...
My question is...Is he allowed to do that, and If he is, are their any negative effects at all now that mana burn is gone? Or is piracy just the worst card in the world now?

It runs fine on XP, but on win 7 I get this message, and I have repeatedly installed driver software to no avail (It is the correct driver for my OS).
Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.
