I used to have my homepage as index.html, not it's index.php. Since I have many internal and external links pointing to the html version, I need to do a 301 redirect. It's not working. Here is what I have in my .htaccess file:

redirect 301 mysite.com/index.html http://www.mysite.com/index.php

so they way I understand it, everytime it tried to find the index.html it should direct to the new php page.

Any reason why this isn't working?

I need the text on my page to be mixed case AND be an H1 heading. Whenever I apply the H1 tag, the text is all CAPS when I upload it. I've used Dreamweaver and Nvu and the problem is the same.

So for instance if I have "This Is My Mixed Case Title" with a H1 tag, it actually displays as "THIS IS MY MIXED CASE TITLE"

I want to buy a stock but limit my downside and have it sell if it hits a certain point. I know this is called something, I thought it was a put order, but I don't think so now that I read what a put is it seems to me that is what I would call selling short.

Do I need a special account to do this normally? I'm having trouble with my online broker arranging this, they want to do a credit check and whatnot which I understand if I'm buying on margin, but not for this.

I’m trying to file the paperwork in WI to setup a new corp. It seems pretty straightforward to get the corp registered in WI, but the website says that I just setup a corp through the state and that I declare it a C or S corp through the IRS. The IRS website is quite a bit less user friendly and I can’t figure it out What form do I fill out to make it an S corp once I get it registered with the state?

I have a large document in Word 07 and I need to be able to drag and drop the pages around to reorder them, like how I would be able to rearrange slide in Power Point. It doesn't seem to be able to do this, am I missing it?

I want to have a members only area of my site and only give access to people that subscribe to my newsletter. I can do this easily enough by protecting the directory and adding users manually to it, bit I'd like to find a way to add the user and assign the password automatically and generate at email back to the users email telling them their login info. Is there a 3rd party tool that can accomplish this? So I want a user to fill out a web form, have that automatically add them to my mailing list as well as give them access to my members only directory, and generate an email back to them with the login credentials. Of course, I would want them removed if they opt out.

My newsletter management software can't do this, and I haven't found one that can.

I have a PDF that would be a good template for something I need to do. How can I save it so I can modify it? I don't think I can just modify a PDF like I would a Word doc.

I'm trying to determine the best name for my software product and want to get an understanding of what the name conveys initially.

Do I want down or something else? I'd like somethng lightweight and comfortable, but warm.

My state offers the ability to buy college semesters now at current rates to be used when my child turns college age. She's only 2 now, so I imagine that being able to buy a college education for 5K a semester now will be a lot less than in 16 years. I'm not sure how much, if any, I should be putting into this type of plan or if I should put everything into retirements for myself or just save for her college in a typical 529.

Any suggestions or is there a version of NetMeeting I can use on XP? Live Meeting is a hefty charge and NetMeeting was free.

I don't plan on wanting to withdrawl early. I put about 8-10K a year into my current 401k. How much will it cost to open an IRA?

Or should I start an IRA and put them money there instead of rolling it over into employers plans?

The copper line is already done by my builder and I have the fridge on the way but need to know how to connect the two. Can someone help me out?

I have a plastic line now and want to know if it's worth the trouble and expense of swapping it for a copper line.
