Don't sweat the small stuff.
How many gallons would be in 1 inch of the earths seas and oceans?
Only connected water areas are important. I know they are all connected. but I'm talking about at sea level and not above. TY :) If you don't know the answer and you could direct me to the proper research criteria, it would be much appreciated.

5 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoCan i start a non profit research center then use patents in a for profit business?
I need funds to develop the prototype of a carbon free energy generator
and a non-profit research center seems to be the easiest way to procure the funds. Can I then take the patent to the market place and start a for profit business?

This is a strictly low level entry position that could bloom into a great career.

I'm making a high amp generator but it will have low voltage. Whats the trade off ratio?
3 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoIs there anything that is none electrical that would block a magnetic field?
I'm doing a small experiment with my son for a science project and we are looking for magnetic resistance in typical household objects. So far we have found nothing. Glass. plastic, paper, water, nonferrous metals, wood, you name it. Of course it depends on the thickness of the material and the strength of the magnet. We are working with small neodymium magnets.
4 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoDoes burning hydrogen produce any green house gases?
I know that fuel cells only have water as a by product, but to evolve over to a hydrogen economy I think modifying current internal combustion engines to burn hydrogen would be an easier transition than having to go out and buy a new car. Was wondering if a mod was realistic.
4 AnswersGreen Living1 decade agoCan I polish my laminate flooring to seal it?
I have heard that the joints where it connects will allow water or otherwise to seep through and then collect dust, crapola, you name it, and loses its perfect look. How do I avoid this?

2 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoIs HHO gas really the solution to our fuel problems?
I say no! Why? Because the problem is fossil fuel dependency in itself. The HHO myth(yes, it is a myth) is that you make the gas from water that fuels your vehicle like a gas, electric hybrid. The myth part? Where did the electricity come from to break the water down into HHO? The fossil fuel!
The simple breakdown of the problem is that you still need electricity to break down water into HHO. The physics of electrolysis dictate that it still takes 6 parts of energy to get 1 part of energy from the process of burning hydrogen or using it in a fuel cell to recoup your energy expenditure. It may be a slightly better ratio if you burn the hydrogen and the oxygen together. How is the use of simple electrolysis a solution? It's not. For those that are interested in changing the world. Please stay tuned. For those who have a different opinion, please(and I do mean please) leave an answer to why you think I am in the wrong.
10 AnswersAlternative Fuel Vehicles1 decade agoA simple question needing a simple answer. A magnet passing a copper wire produces an electric current right?
Would the magnet produce a better current if the copper wire was plated with silver?. I understand resistance and would be like to know if the resistance would be lower. Yes or no please, no answers saying I don't have the intellect to understand or that the problem I am trying to solve hasn't been solved by countless people with I. Q.'s of 180. Thank you. Candid and honest answers are appreciated.
12 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoA clarification to my last question.?
I am trying to find the way to produce the maximum current with the lightest weight of the most windings, from the lightest weight of a magnet. I think I am on to something that will change the way we think of power and its generation. Please look at my last question and see if you can inform me on how to do this. My goal is world changing and nothing less.
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoWould silver plated aluminum wire produce a better current and solve the corrosion problem?
If not, then would silver plated copper wire be more efficiant than just plain copper wire?
4 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoCan aluminum work the same way as copper to produce electricity?
Does aluminum produce a charge when a magnetic field is passed over it? If not, why? If so, why? Do any other metals react the same way as copper?
4 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoHow does heat move through metal as apposed to the air or water?
There has to be a vast difference because when my cast iron stove is cold, it takes a long time to warm up. If it is even slightly warm from a previous fire it heats very quickly. The question I suppose I should be asking is how does heat as a form of radiation move through solid objects. Like the sun? Protons and neutrons bouncing around forever before they reach the surface?
