Long story short:

She's been sad for a long time about some random stuff that has nothing to do with me but wouldn't tell me what was going on even though I would ask. She's upset that I'm not more sensitive but I just can't bring myself to be that type of person. She says I am a great guy with my compassion, sincerity, loyalty, financial support, ...etc.

We've been together 5 years and I want to get married eventually and I can't see it happening anytime soon, if ever, with her and I'm afraid that she might "flake" on me again like this if we work things out. I've decided that I will let her stay in the house and still take care of the finances and everything until everything is stable for her to move on...

it's confusing, don't really want to lose her but I don't see us working

You think it'll be over nuclear facilities, uranium enriching facilities, missile testing, ...etc.? or will it take a harder "push", such as a conflict with Israel, which Israeli officials have promised would happen with or without the backing of the UN.

If I'm having an "off" day she'll ask me what's wrong and if I'm sad and I'll say that I'm fine. I have said to her before that "I'm sad... I just had to tell someone, I'm better now" and she won't leave it alone. You would think after 5 years that she would know that by now, but I swallow my feelings.

Men ARE different than women, we are the ones that are supposed to keep it together when everything else is crumbling around us and be "the rock", and it's surprisingly easy when you've had as much practice as me. I'm not wired to be a sensitive person and she still doesn't seem to get it and I don't understand?

I am caring, sincere, and dependable, as a guy should be, but I obviously don't have the capacity for being overly compassionate and sensitive.

I'm Catholic, and although I am very educated I don't know how to act arrogant as well as you guys do... how can I be like that? Is there a certain flavor of athejuice that I can drink to level up my arrogance? I would like to get it to level 50

Making an extremely long story short, she was my stepmother (my father died some time ago) but I still called her that for some reason. She gave me a very very nice, expensive, leather bound Bible for my Birthday this past year which was cool with me, but it has been sitting on my desk ever since. She wronged me horribly and I am at the point in my life where I'm cutting ties and burning bridges that I don't need and that cause me stress, so I haven't spoken with her in a couple months. She has wronged me in the past, but this time it was completely unwarranted and it affected me and my fiancee' and, believe it or not, I wasn't in the wrong whatsoever.

Every time I see the Bible that she gave me, it brings all that up in my mind and sincerely pisses me off, so I'm contemplating mailing it to her with a couple excerpts that concern this whole issue. On the other hand I want nothing to do with her, so this would be contacting her... so I don't know about that.

But what I'm really asking is if it is distasteful for me to send the Bible back to her in anger?

I'm not a big fan of 9mm or .40 S&W

I've never owned anything on a 1911 frame and I don't know too much about the 1911 platform in general. I love the look and feel of the Kimber but I can't justify spending that much on a pistol right now, so I want some serious opinions.

If you just had to rely on one knife what would it be? I'm looking for something good to put in my pack when I go backpacking instead of carrying a hatchet, fixed blade, and a machete.
