I've already let them know that I KNOW (burned them!) I'm about to be surveilled. What are the chances they'll continue the surveillance?

I'm doing housekeeping for a man and his 20 year old daughter. Daughter recently moved in. Never before had a problem with the house, it's already fairly clean. But last week when I went to empty daughters bathroom trash can, there were several used sanitary napkins stuck to the bottom of the can, with no liner in the can. Apparently, no one ever taught the girl the proper way to dispose of a used sanitary napkin. During the last house cleaning, I just dumped the can upside down in to a garbage back, and left what was stuck in the trash can. I refuse to clean this bio-hazardous waste. How do I confront my employer about this sensitive issue? Or should I confront the daughter?

Any advice is welcome. I don't want to lose a client, but I'm thinking about dumping this one.

I went to e-file my tax return, and it was rejected for e-filing. Reason given was that someone else has already filed and claimed my son as a qualifying child, apparently in order to get the EIC.

Back in 2004, my son supposedly signed as a "co-buyer" for a vehicle, with his father as the "buyer". Now, several years later, the dealership is coming after my son for the debt that was not paid by his father. The contract was dated May 31, 2004, but my son's driver's license issue date was June 1, 2004. Is this contract even valid? Can he be held liable for this debt? Any advice is appreciated.

His father is on Social Security disability, and supposedly his income cannot be garnished. Can he still be held liable for the debt, instead of the son? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

I was given a down mattress topper recently. I finally got around to putting it on my bed yesterday, and was quite pleased with the look and feel of the bed afterward. But after only a couple hours sleep last night, I woke to little feather quills poking me through the sheet. I put a thick blanket between the down topper and the fitted sheet when I made the bed. I put on the blanket with the intent on protecting the topper. I didn't know I would need to protect myself from feather quill pokes. Quills came through the blanket and fitted sheet. Is there any way I can stop this, or should I just throw the thing away?

I have six bromeliad pups that were given to me a year ago. They have grown substantially in the past year. This morning, while replacing the water in the plants' cups, I noticed that the largest one is starting to bloom. Should I continue to keep the cup filled with water while the plant is blooming? How long will it take for the flowering bud to bloom? I'm kinda new to broms, and would appreciate info regarding blooming broms.

I don't know what exact species the plant is, but it has bright pink leaf tips. The flower bud is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter in the center, and is just starting to open. The flower bud is maybe an inch tall. I'm afraid if I keep the flower bud drenched in water, it will rot. How do I properly care for my blooming brommy?

How could I have handled this better? I attended the wake of an old friend who was beaten to death, allegedly by her husband. It was a very small service, with mostly family attending. I was invited to come by the deceased woman's sister, who I am very close to. About an hour prior to the funeral, the husband arrived, much to everyone's surprise. This was the husband's first public appearance since her death, as he expects to be arrested at any time. I got in my vehicle and left, rather than face the accused husband, whom I am also acquainted with. I didn't want to speak to him, or even look at him. Due to the very small number of people present, it would have been impossible to avoid him if I had stayed. I missed the funeral service, and am a bit embarrassed that I fled. Did I do the right thing by leaving? Should I have stayed? How should I have better dealt with the whole situation?

Why didn't BP take more action immediately after the rig exploded? Why has Louisiana Gov. Jindal just recently declared a state of emergency? Why wasn't there more done to prevent or contain the spread of the oil slick when it was first apparent last week? Why are officials now in a panic on the very day the oil slick washes ashore? Since the oil rig was only 50 miles offshore, was the slick not expected to reach land? Why was there such a delay?

My daughter had an accident in her bedroom with her nail polish. A shelf broke in her room, and several bottles of nail polish fell. One of the bottles hit against another and broke open, leaving a 2 inch diameter stain on the beige wall-to-wall carpeting. It's a very dark color polish, and it's already hardened of course. I didn't touch it at the time, out of fear I would just smear the stain. Is there any way to remove the stain without spreading it and making it look worse?

My husband's demeanor has changed drastically in the last several weeks. He's hostile, spiteful, and just downright mean lately. He's not abused me physically, but I'm a nervous wreck. Hubby takes pain meds for a chronic degenerative condition. Even when he takes his regular meds, he still complains of some pain. He's been on the same meds for over a year.

Recently, I've noticed a change in his behavior. When his pain meds ran out recently, he didn't go in right away to get his next refill, as he usually does. However, he never once complained of pain in the last few weeks, and he has been much more physically active than usual. He has also been making regular visits to an old friend that he hasn't associated with in years. Someone told me that the old friend's wife is on some heavy duty painkillers. I suspect my husband is buying pills on the street.

His behavior is erratic, he's always droopy eyed, like he can barely keep them open. His speech is slurred. He forgets conversations we had yesterday, or even hours ago. I have confronted him about my suspicions about the illicit drugs. He flies into a rage when I bring up the subject. Some of our friends have mentioned his odd behavior, such as receiving his calls very late in the evening to talk about trivial things, then ramble on. It's getting quite embarrassing at times. I feel like it's my duty to discuss it with him, but he rages at me when I try to talk about these issues.

He's accused me of stealing money from his wallet, he follows me around the house when we're both home, especially into the bedroom closet. It makes me think that he is hiding something. He sets "traps" on the dresser at night, so that he'll know if anything has been moved around on his dresser. He lays things about so that if anything is touched on his dresser, his little "traps" will rattle and make noise, alerting him. This is so bizarre to me.

I'm now beginning to wonder if these are some of the signs of alzheimers disease. He's either really stoned/loaded most of the day every day, or there is something physically wrong with him. I'm considering calling his doctor and asking that he be tested for alzheimers disease. He's only in mid 50s. He's gonna really hit the roof if I call the doc and he finds out. I can't stay with him much longer with him in this state. He's not at all himself lately. What should I do? Any advice here?

We entered the office, I helped my friend to a chair, and I went to the window to register her. The sliding glass window was open, the receptionist was kicked back in a chair, with a mouthful of food (so much that she couldn't speak immediately), and had a sweatshirt draped across her chest and shoulders. When she finally swallowed her food, she greeted me with "Here. Fill these out." I helped my friend fill out the very short stack of documents.

While we waited to see the doc, there was only one other patient in the small waiting room. The receptionist left the sliding glass window open, and those of us in the waiting room could hear everything that was going on behind the desk. No effort was made by the small staff to keep their voices low, or close the window. We could hear their banter about personal matters, we could hear them making phone calls, we could hear all conversations. At one point, we heard the receptionist make a call to a physician's office in our home town. We heard her state the name of the doctor she was calling, the patient's name that was being discussed, the reason for the call, etc. I was appalled at the lack of privacy.

It turns out that I am acquainted with the woman the phone call was about. Should I let her know that her specialist is violating her privacy? I didn't need to know that Ms. Jones from my home town is seeing Dr. T in the next town, in addition to Dr. C in our home town. Should I call and tell Ms. Jones about the incident?

Upon seeing the doctor, he took the med. history himself. He kept asking a couple questions numerous times. He seemed not to be paying attention to anything my friend told him. She is disabled, but was asked 5 times, what kind of work she did, what she did for a living, after telling the doctor she was disabled and could not work. She's legally blind! She was also asked repetitively if she had been in an auto accident. She answered "NO" to this question at least 4 times!

I'd like to report this doctor for unprofessional conduct and violation of privacy. How do I go about reporting this doctor, and to whom do I report him?

At what age is one considered to be a senior citizen? What is generally accepted in normal conversation when referring to senior citizens? Is it 50? Is it 60? I've recently been receiving mail from organizations associated with senior citizens and am just curious. At what age can I expect to be considered a senior?

I have about half dozen cacti of the genus mammillaria, all six are various different species. They vary in height from about 3-7 inches tall. Most are about 3-4 inches in diameter at the base. This past summer, I removed them all from their 6 inch pots and re-potted them into 8 inch pots. The cacti all seemed rootbound and cramped in their 6 inch pots, so I repotted. Now, several months later, most of my cactus don't appear to have grown at all in their new, bigger pots. One has even turned yellow on the bottom half, but the top half is green and seems to be growing a bit. One is blooming, with tiny pink flowers, but seems to have shrunken a bit. I'm wondering if I made a mistake by re-potting my cactus. They are all alive, but they just don't seem as healthy as before.

Do cacti enjoy being in smaller pots? Is their a certain time for re-potting? Should I have left them in 6 inch pots?

BTW, they're in terra cotta pots, now and before.

My 4 month old puppy died yesterday evening. It was such a shock to everyone in the family. She was playing and seemed fine one minute, and was dead the next minute. My daughter and I had been playing cards on the floor, and the puppy was just playing with us, walking over the cards, and trying to pick them up; general playful puppy behaviour. When we all walked into the next room, puppy started to rub her face on the floor, something she's done before while playing with us. But she wasn't playing this time. She picked her face up, and then I noticed a bit of urine on the floor under her. I put her outside, but she ran back up the steps onto the porch, where she collapsed. Just before she collapsed, she let out a small whimper, then a low howling moan. I tried to stand her up, but she was limp. I tried CPR to no avail. I have never seen an animal die so quickly. She had her shots, and was due for her spay in the next 2 weeks. She had not been sick at all, and just dropped dead. I'm trying to explain it to my kids, who watched the entire horror unfold. Is it possible for a young puppy to have a heart attack or stroke? Anyone have any ideas what may have caused her death? I'll be calling the vets as soon as the office opens. There was no time to call emergency vet last night, as the entire episode lasted less than 2 minutes! I'm still in shock.

She was a rescued stray pup. She had no obvious health problems previously, and had her vet check and shots up to date. What could have killed my puppy?

I have an icon in my taskbar that looks just like an official Windows icon. It's a yellow shield with an exclamation point. When I click on the shield, a window pops up prompting me to accept the license terms and install the update. The update is called "Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - January 2010".

The reason I am suspicious of this is because I have my Windows Updates settings set to automatically download and install updates daily. Usually, if there is a new update, it begins downloading and installing when I boot up the computer. For some reason this update isn't installing automatically. How can I be sure it's a genuine Windows update?

My hunting partner and I bagged and tagged a deer. We strung it up, skinned and gutted it. No problem. Then the disagreement began about how to proceed butchering the meat. This deer is finally finished and the meat is in the freezer, albeit a bit mangled. I let my hunting partner do most of the cutting at his insistence. The backstrap is *not* intact, as he mistakenly (IMO) sliced thru it lengthwise. I really don't want this to happen again, as I'm planning on trying for another kill this week, preferably alone. I need to put some more meat in the freezer.

What is the proper way to butcher a deer? A diagram or very detailed answer would be most helpful for future kills. Any advice is appreciated.
