  • What is "the question" in interviews?

Every interviewer always asks the question "Do you have any questions?" but what am I supposed to say? I mean, most jobs I've been to interviews for the simple response from me is "What sort of environment would I be working in?" (They've been apprenticeships). But I'm now applying for the army and I can't exactly ask this as I already know, and if I asked it would show a lack of research - What sort of questions would people recommend because honestly this is the career of my life, and I'm determined to be the best - So can people give me hints on how to come up with a question out of the blue and what they'd ask for the army interview? P.S. I'm applying for a paratrooper, with Royal Irish as second choice and Infantry as third.

  • How to go to an army interview...?

I know this sounds like one of the most silly questions possible, but when going to an army interview how would I answer questions to show how passionate I am? Also, there's one small thing that bugs me with all interviews I've been to - should I have my suit button done up or not? Some people say it looks more professional, while others say it gives a bad impression that you're over doing effort?

  • How would you walk into this situation?

Okay, we've all been through it - How do you introduce yourself to your girlfriends parents? Tomorrow I'm going into her house for the first time and meeting her mom, but how do i do it? I mean if I'm too cocky and walk in like its my own house like "Heyaaa you alright" and stuff it'll be too informal and give a bad impression.. On the other hand, if I walk in all shy and just mumble "hi" to her like Im about to pass out from sheer fear of her, and then shuffle past it'll be bad impressions all around again... So how do I do it? Do i shake her hand or something? I've done it all before with my ex's but it was so long ago that I can't remember, and my last few ex's i met their parents outside the house when they picked us both up or going for a day out with everyone... This is the second time I'll be meeting parents in their house and the first time (first girlfriend) her dad was a sexist little .... towards my ex and her mom so he sorta made things worse... HELP PLEASE

  • What does this mean in German or Hungarian?

I'm not sure what language its in, but it lots of war films I've heard Germans shouting what sounds like "its bits" or "itch bits" or something like that... they repeat it usually twice... On iron man near the beginning the guy helping Tony in the cave also said it and said it was Hungarian but what does it actually mean and how is it spelt correctly? Thanks!

  • Aircraft flare - techniques of other pilots?

As a private pilot myself of a Cessna 152 (currently just getting hours in for my other licenses and ratings), I noticed that other pilots appear to flare in different ways, as such, whilst I wait for clearance to take off from the holding point, I watch the traffic land. Anyway, some aircraft seem to flare fairly high up (20ft or more) and some flare seconds from landing, all seem to land at pretty much the same point. However, I myself flare very late (less than 5-6ft from the ground) but still touch down with the nose at a nose high attitude. I've never managed more than 1 (2 at most) landing when flaring from higher as no matter what speed I'm at on the final approach, the aircraft will ascend and then I'll either a) Abort landing, climb out, circle (circuit), and land with a late flare or b) touch down dangerously hard with a fairly low nose attitude. How many of you flare similarly to me, and if you flare from high, how do you make the landing perfect please? Thankyou!

  • Fsx best flight routes?

What would people recommend as some of the best flights on FSX? Aircraft doesn't bother me that much - I've got everything on there from single piston engines and turboprops to the SR-71 (including all classes in between). Can someone recommend tricky flight routes to practice (mountainous or snowy etc.), or some which have beautiful scenery (beaches and light blue oceans/sea as I'm on the final approach)? Any routes which you love and I'll give it a try! :D

  • Fsx best addons.. again...?

Hi everyone, could someone please help me with two things? 1) Some aircraft don't work on FSX properly, for example, the 777 has been installed exactly as the intructions said, but none of the 2D panels work (theyre just blank). Also, the TUI (thompson) 737 i downloaded seems unsynced with the ground, every time i brake or land, the wheels just disappear into the ground? And finally, what files should be moved to where to get the VC to show up please? I have a document which says VC in the model folder of the aircraft, but i don't know which FSX folder to move it to - if you understand what i mean? 2) Can you provide me with a link where you can download 737 liveries and install easily. THANKYOU!

  • fsx best addons please?

what would everyone recommend as some of the best freeware fsx aircraft to download please? I prefer high speed, high altitude, but as long as its a fully working turbofan/jet or on occasion a propeller (such as the UAV drone) or rockets (such as space shuttle) then Ill use it. I want a working VC, 2D panels, and preferably a wing view. Also, could someone explain to me why the AN-225 by ruth thomas works perfectly when zoomed in (more than 0.70 zoom), ortherwise it becomes see-through? This also happens if you change view to the nearest tower or to VC?

  • Swelling of the throat and lips?

Every time i eat certain foods, such as strawberries, apples, melons, walnuts, carrots, pears etc. my neck begins to swell and it becomes hard to breathe, my lips also swell and this lasts for about 5-20 minutes. This only happens if the food is raw or unprocessed, e.g. raw apple causes it, but eating it when cooked (i.e. in an apple turnover) and it doesn't happen, or if it is in a syrup that's canned (such as pear slices) then it's also fine. I know that the medical condition is called OAS, which is closely linked to hay fever. However, I read that it is very rare for people as young as me to have this as it mostly occurs in adults around 40 or over, yet I'm only 16. I've been to the doctors and they said just avoid the foods and didn't mention any medicine I should take if I accidentally eat one, which inevitably will happen sooner or later - can anyone tell me what I should take in the case it happens please and what chemical in the food causes it?

  • Does anyone else have FSX problems?

I have an I5 quadcore processor, £750 Nvidia GeForce something or another graphics card, brand new motherboard and generally a really expensive tower, every software works properly apart from FSX works correctly, it starts up fine, then it just kicks me out after saying the typical windows error message, it shows no signs whatsoever that its about to kick me out, no freezing or anything but then all of a sudden I'm thrown out. Theres no specific aircraft doing it, I haven't got any addons whatsoever, its not overheating as the tower is liquid cooled. There's no specific movement linked to it either e.g. descent, speed increase or decrease, altitude increase, landing, take off, mid-flight, its just random and SO ANNOYING! Help anyone?

    Thanks

  • Laptops freezing really badly?

Hi everyone, Ive managed to get aircraft on FSX now, but every flight freezes loads. Not only that, but it lags unless the aircrafts at 30,000ft or over and the view is facing upwards (i think its the ground which causes lag as it doesnt load well or something). How do i stop this from happening because i can't land AT ALL and taking off is a nightmare aswell. Help please! P.S. its a sony vaio laptop with 250gb of free space.

  • Whats the cost of fuel per mile?

I know it differs depending on the car used, but what's the average fuel cost per mile of a people carrier (7 seater or more)? I'm doing a spreadsheet for my company and wondering what car is best to pickup customers and how much to charge. Theres some diesel and some petrol cars by the way.

  • Which aircraft is best?

Which light aircraft (single piston engine) has at least 4 seats, requires only 1 pilot, but is also fairly attractive and can be cheap to purchase and maintain? I've been searching mostly Cessna, Piper and a bit of Beechcraft, but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a plane?

  • Why is Washington and Washington DC like it is?

I know this sounds really weird, but why is the state of Washington North of California on the US West coast, but the white house and Washington DC are on the East Coast? What does DC stand for in this case and why isn't Washington DC in the State of Washington, which would be logical?
