  • RETURNS: does the merchandise also include the packaging itself? Big Lots?

A few days ago, I bought a pair of headphones for $10.00 from Big Lots. The problem is that they are defective: I have to wiggle the jack-end of the headphones in the port to get sound out of one of the ear-phones. That detail aside, I have all of the contents to make a return, however I had to cut into the packaging in an awkward way to get to the headphones (didn't cut into the product), so the packaging is slightly ruined.

So, based on this bit of literature from their return policy:

"...the merchandise must be in its original condition, complete with accessories, packaging and instructions..."

My question is, does the merchandise also include the packaging itself (which is obviously no longer in its original condition)? Even though it says 'complete with packaging', I'd like to know if they would accept the product itself if the packaging was a bit ruined... Sounds like common sense, I know.

Also, I've never had to return anything that was already opened, which is why I ask.

  • I've been going to college via GI Bill; Will the VA cut me off if?

Suppose I have been going to college via GI Bill; Will the Department Of Veteran Affairs cut me off if I made two failing grades in one semester?

  • What do you think of when the words "night life" pop into your head?

No mentions of casinos, night-clubs, or drinking please. Also, don't mention The Sims expansion pack.. I'm just trying to come up with more imagery.

  • A question about a potential mouse beneath my furniture?

This only happens maybe once or twice a month at roughly around 1-4AM; I will hear a 'violent' scratching/clawing noise (or a noise I assume to be scratching/clawing) from underneath my nightstand in the corner of my bedroom. I'm not really sure, but do mice claw and scratch at things for no reason? Because I figure it would be pretty easy to come and go from under the nightstand as it is (meaning there's no reason to claw and scratch if there's an obviously clear entrance/exit to use).

I'm beginning to suspect, though, that if there is a mouse or rodent of some sort, it's actually in the wall behind where the nightstand sits, or the mouse is just extremely retarded. I could just move the nightstand and find out if there is a mouse underneath, but I kind of want to spare myself the heart-attack if there is one. What do you guys think?

  • I Had a Strange Dream During a Two Hour Nap...?

I know someone might say that dreams don't mean anything, but I'm putting this up for interpretation.

Dream sequence (I tried to recollect as many images as I could):

I'm in a car with my cousin and her friend and it's raining outside. Everything is tinted blue in nearly bumper-to-bumper traffic. It begins to hail; So I'm thinking perfect driving conditions... Im in the passenger seat, and her friend is poking through the middle arm rest. Things are fine until they start to yell and they weren't seeing that some cars had moved up a lot and other cars whizzed right past us. I'm not sure what they were doing exactly. I was carefully watching the surroundings, but the driver wasn't and began to accelerate quickly. She was still yelling at her friend in the backseat. I saw that we were needing to slam on the brakes as we were approaching two lights in the foggy distance at an alarming rate. I scream, "GIRL, SLOW THE HELL DOWN!" and I clenched my teeth for impact. She tried to brake, but the brakes in the car were terrible. She veers into the right lane into traffic and I feel myself lurching towards the windshield. Seatbelt is uneffective. I dream that the front-right side of my head makes contact with the space between the windshield and the passenger door, but I feel my body slipping through the glass. It was more like falling at that point, but at the moment of impact, everything faded to gray and it seemed like I was in a vaccum of fast-moving Sprite (The soft-drink). Things started fading to white, like I was dying I guess, but I shook myself awake because I didn't want to continue the dream; It was too creepy.

I woke up with a ridiculous headache but it only lasted for about 10 seconds.

So, what do you think this means? o_o It's slightly bothersome, as I used to have a phobia of driving, and I recently got over that phobia a few weeks ago and got my license.
