  • how does purchase price effect real estate taxes in Colorado?

If you purchase a house in Colorado does the purchase price enter into the calculation for property taxes or is it still based on the value the assessor has placed on the property. I'm looking at a house that is selling for just over $300,000 but which was apparently valued at over 700,000 in the previous real estate assessor's books... previous taxes were about 770 a month for a home in Jefferson CO.

  • For a line tangent to a circle what is the distance from the circle at a given point.?

More precisely. If I take a sphere and set it on a table... I have 1 point there the ball touches the table... as I move out from that point I will be further from the ball... what formula would one use to determine how far the ball is from the at a given point on the line....

  • Problem with a 2000 Honda Accord and intermitent misfires?

The car has run fine since it was purchased new... now it has a problem where maybe one a week it will do the following. It will start perfectly when you first drive it... you will stop at a store, and then when you return to the car it will misfire to the point that it will no longer idle... you can only keep it idling by holding your foot on the gas.. the ODBII codes are for misfire on 3 out of hte 6 cylinders and a for multiple misfires... I took it to the dealer, and he said nothing was wrong... he then said he test drove it and got a reading on the EGR valve.. He replaced it and now it continues to do the same thing... clearly I have no faith in the dealer and am wondering if anyone else has had similar issues. It only does it after you've driven the car but not every time just randomly... more often than not it functions perfectly.

  • Anyone else found Yahoo's customer service to be customer dis-service?

I posted a question "What type of account pays the highest interest in Brazil?" That was the question... next I'm notified that it broke yahoo terms and was deleted... I'm given an address if I have questions about this.. so I send a question asking..

"What type of account pays the highest interest in Brazil?

That was the question I asked... and then I get the following... can someone please explain how asking not only a simple question but a very straight forward question was a violation? and exactly why doesn't it even say what the reason for the violation was?"

The response is classic, they say:

    "Hello,

Thanks for writing to Yahoo! Customer Care.

    ...

We cannot enter into personal dialogue over individual deletions, however content is generally deleted if it is in violation of the Answers' community guidelines."

    list of violations

"I hope the information I have provided to you above

will help answer your question. Please let me know if you still need assistance..."

  • Does consolidating student loans impact your FICO score?

I've got 10 different student loans so my FICO score reflects 10 different installment loans. Would consolidating them into one loan do anything to the FICO score or would it just be a wash since the total amount of debt wouldn't change.

My downside is that if I consolidate It will take longer to pay off the loans than if I just leave them alone.... I'm wondering how much my FICO score is being hurt by them. Its currently 762.
