Need total info. on procedure to obtain deemed Univ. status for an autonomous college,UGC guidlelines, fee etc?
I represent an auto. college teaching Yoga for Human Excellence. We wish to become an university. UGC Act gives the basic idea only. Need threadbare info as to how to go about it, criterion, applying procedure, Fee, are there any Agents who do this for a fee (like getting ISO certification). Request ex-VCs, Registrars of Univs. to reply, since the serving ones would not find the time.

1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoWhy are terror groups called 'outfits'? Is this a groupname like, posse of cops, pack of wolves, or bad English?
Would like linguists to answer. I have seen the wiki and other paedias. Except give me discourses in grammar, they 're not very helpful. Besides I am concerned about the usage not merely textbook references. Thanks.
1 AnswerWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhy are the tilted letters called Italics? Was it first used in Italy. Like the leaning tower of Pisa? ?
I am sure you guys / gals get dumbfounded with this. And, talking about Italy, why is the font type by default always "Times New Roman" Even if you cut and paste any other font material it gets changed to times new roman.
Good answers bound to be awarded for sure.
3 AnswersTrivia1 decade agoThe word Tsunami was figuratively used for describing the financial market collapse. Is the usage correct?
Tsunami is a tidal wave and can be figuratively used to refer to any upsurge or raising. Not for a fall. The financial market collapse in US cannot be referred to as "financial tsunami". Will english language experts clarify.Answers with illustrations welcome.
6 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoInsects flying inside a moving vehicle travel with it, though not in contact with the vehicle How? Dont laugh.
This phenomenon has always troubled me. Is this like airborne aircrafts not getting left behind due to earth's rotation? Or not getting additional momentum if it is flying west to east.Kindly explain both these phenomena with illustrations. Please do not flood me with Physics although I can take it if is simple. In the earth-flight thing, gravity plays a role. But how do insects have a free ride and don't get splashed in the rear glass pane. If any one of you guffaw at my innocence I am going to report all of you. Please give simple illustrations as I have to assist my kid with his homework. Thanx.
6 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoI read that there are more stars in the Universe, than all the sand granules of the Beach. Is this true? How?
I want technical replies. Even a fistful of sand will have atleast 100000 visible particles, excluding dust. If that is so, how can we have more stars than sand. I want astro-physics students to reply with proof. First do we have any count of the number of sand granules we have ? If not how did some scientist come out with this fact? Mathmatical answers with calculable proof would be great.
4 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoHas Hyd Sec'bad benefited from YSR's govt.,, or was it better off during Naidu's reign ? How do locals feel?
This is not a political survey. Please feel free to reply. The development of metro and the concentration of wealth and amenities in cities coupled with the total neglect of villages is the outcome of which rule? Congress or TD? Does any body share my feeling that the state was better of during NTR's and Naidu's time.
2 AnswersCivic Participation1 decade agoDo planets have any impact on humans astrologically? Is fortune telling based on the planetary movements real?
I have made thorough study of this science of occult. There appears to be no basis at all. Let us take a practical example. Astrologers who were predicting our future before pluto was discovered (1930), could scarcely predict that pluto would be found. And in the post pluto era, none of these people could ascertain that the tenth planet would be found. And what happened when the ninth planet lost its planetary status, (being too small)? Does all the previous predictions get rescinded? In Indian astrology, which follows moon signs, and 27 birth stars, things get more confounded. Still worse, an astrologer based in Chennai, South India, predicts and gives you a life time forecast when you buy his pyramid shaped contraption, (whether it is silver or gold or platinum depends on your astro-influenced affluence and the fee you pay him), when it is well known (ostensibly) that indian astrology dates back before Egypt. Who predicted that predators colonised Egypt eliminating xenomorphs? Krish
