  • sound of water running into hot water heater?

I have a weird issue. When I turn on the valve of my hot water heater that lets cold water into it i always hear the sound of running water in the pipes. I dont think its the hotter water heater filling because it does this contantly. I turn off the valve and the sound stops.

All water pipes are located in my basement I have traced all the pipes and there is no leak in the hot or cold water pipes.

Why are my pipes making this sound when I have the cold water valve to my water heater on?

  • Should I get my wheels repaired, replaced, or leave as is?

Had new tires put on the other day on my 2011 car. After putting on the tires they showed me that two wheels had a little damage to them. One having a minor bend the other being a bit more damaged.

Both wheels are in the back right now the worst wheel in the rear right. So far the both wheels have not leaked after a week of driving. I also feel no shake or rumble from the wheels.

It will cost me about 250 to get the wheels repairs or I could buy new wheels for more then that.

Should I keep them as is because their not leaked or affecting anything? Or should I get them repaired/new wheels.

Here is a picture of the wheel with the most damage. again the only damage is to the lip and not the exterior or inside the wheel itself.

  • Job asked for references but has not called them?

I had an interview for a job last monday that I felt went real well. At the end of the interview they told me they would be conducting a few more interviews and then make a decision probably within the week or so.

So a day passed and I received a call early wed morning from the job. I picked up and it was a person from the job stating that they were unable to locate my references and If I could email/fax it to them which I then did. I thought this was probably a good sign because if they passed me over in the interview or felt I wasn't a good candidate why would they call my references?

So a couple more days passed and no call from the job. I spoke with a couple of my references and they have not been called either. Would there be any reason why this could be?

Would it be a good idea to follow up with the job at all possibly Monday (a week since my interview)

  • Should I read Cloud Atlas before seeing the movie.?

I'm not worried about not understanding the film. I'm looking for a new book to read and the trailer looks incredible and have only read amazing things about the book.

I'm going on a look trip next week and will probably have time to start and finish the book on the travel there and back.

  • New to paintball, should I buy an outfit?

Just got into paintball and bought myself a good set with a decent mask, gun, tank, and so on.

Ive been looking at the outfits availible, they intrest me because of

    1. I need some clothes that I can use to get shot up in.

    2. The padding seems like its helpful.

    3. They look cool.

On the other hand I dont want to be THAT guy who is fully decked out in gear but still needs to ask questions when he goes to the field.

    Any thoughts?

  • How to find a job in tv, film, or video production?

Im just about to graduate with a bachelors in media communications which I learned a bunch of different mediums such as graphics design, 3d modeling, video editing and so forth.

My most enjoyable experience though was tv production. Working cameras, setting up lights, technical directing. It was what I enjoyed the most.

Because of financial obligations and issues I couldnt give up the 40+ hours a week for work an internship.

Where should I start looking for a job? Ive been checking out monster and other job sites but it seems there really isnt if any jobs around that area.

How do I assert myself into this type of field?

  • Replacing only one tire?

Found a bubble in my front right tire yesterday. Brand new car only 6000 miles on it.

I had goodyear ls2 tire on it which was replaced with a goodyear gt exact same size 215/45/17

I read online that when replacing a tire you should get a pair. Since the car only has 6k miles on it is this going to be an issue or should I go back and spend another 160 dollars to replace a 4 month old perfect condition tire?

  • Fiance drove 2 miles with my parking brake on?

I lent my new car 5k miles to my fiance to run a small errand today. When she got home she told me she had left the brake on for about 2 miles and went no faster then 50mph. According to her she heard a "put put" sound. Anything I should worry about? I know it is a short distance but again it is my brand new car.

  • Chance of getting approved for a car loan?

Im going to the dealership tomorrow to purchase a new car. Im currently a college student living with my parents but I do have a job that I have held for 3 years and do bring in over 1k a month even with the hours I work.

The car Im going to purchased is around 18k from what the dealer quoted me 20k with taxes and such,

Im putting around 13k down payment on the car so the loan is only going to be around 7k. I have excellent credit "around 760". Im going to try to attain the loan myself "what are my chances" If not my father will co-sign.

  • For anybody whose stayed in Club Quarters Boston?

What does Restricted entry for greater security mean?

I booked a 4 person suite but may have someone else tag along who may sleep on the floor. Will they only let people into the building with keys or does this mean you just need a key to enter the building?

  • What should I do first on my trip to Hershey Park?

Visting Hershey Park tomorrow and havent been there in over 12 years. Trying to figure out what my plan of action should be on my trip there. I plan on arriving around 9 and hitting up the free tour there before entering the park at 10. Should I try to hit up some big rides first and then hit the water park or get right to the water and hit the rides when we have had our fill?
