I'll be moving to an African country in a few weeks for 18 months and I'll be doing upwards of 10 miles of walking nearly every day. I was wondering what everyone recommends on chacos versus tevas for the wear and tear of just sheer usage every day. It will be extremely hard for me to get another pair while I'm there so I'm hoping to find a pair that holds out. Suggestions? If you recommend another brand altogether, please feel free to mention that as well.

Last night I had a dream where I was in an engagement to a guy that I didn't even really like very much. However, I felt bad calling it off so close to the wedding that I didn't want to say anything. This isn't the first time I've had a dream like this, being in an engagement/marriage that I felt trapped in, either because I felt awful saying that I wasn't in love or wasn't happy or because no one would listen. Any interpretations of what this could mean?

I just moved into the Cleveland Park area of the NW quadrant of Washington DC! I am a nanny and will be living here until at least April. Does anyone have any tips for living in th city? I'm having sort of a tough time right now, and I'm looking for some sad slow songs like Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy. If they have a theme about unrequited love or wanting someone you can't have, that'd be even better. Please have them be slow though.
