  • I need a loan for outside college expenses...?

Last semester I worked 45 hours a week while attempting to go to nursing school. It was very difficult, but I managed. This semester is going to be even worse. I need a loan to cover expenses outside of school like rent, gas, food, clothing, car note, insurance...ect. I have a pell grant that covers my college expenses, but only that. What kind of loan should I apply for to help me be able to make going to school my "job" for the time being?

  • What would you think...?

The guy Ive been seeing awhile has a personal ad here on yahoo that he's been checking according to its status. Now, he tells me all the time how much he loves me, wants to be with me, and all of that other sweet stuff. I haven't caught him with anyone, and I respect his privacy as he does mine by not snooping his phone or whatnot. Still, it is offsetting to see an active personals ad when I felt things were going so....great. What do you think?

  • Sex before marriage?

Times are changing. I recently made a friend who is creepily religious in a cultish sort of way. She wears long dresses, and never shows more than an inch or two of skin below her collar bone. The church doesn't allow teenage drinking, and believes in chaporoning adult would-be couples. Literally, an older married couple follows them around. The church doesn't believe in movies, or listening to the radio. They are almost like amish people except most of them have normal jobs, and normal cars and things like that. She told me that the man she has been dating has never so much as held her hand. I couldn't imagine marrying someone I couldn't touch. My question is how morally wrong do you feel sex before marriage is? Would you want to get married today without first being intimate with your potential partner?

  • Don't you think some people need to grow up?

If you can't answer another person's honest question with at least some respect, why bother? I don't understand unprovoked cruelty based on a differing opinion. Granted, some folks ask some really retarded things on here, or pose questions just to create such an effect. However, for the most part I see people asking honest questions and getting jeered at for having **gasp** a view point. For example, politics is always a heated issue. You've got folks out there slamming military wives for feeling like they are fighting a war as well without their husbands. You've got democrats insulting republicans without a clear reason as to why such a backlash is necessary. You've got bush insulters, Republicans insulting Liberals and Dems alike. All of it is a little pointless. Honestly, what hope do you have of impacting anyone's point of view making an *** of yourself? I think you get more flies with honey, don't you?

  • For Democrats and anti-war folks...?

If I recall, when the war first started the US was rather revved up about 9/11. Most people wanted to see something done. When Saddam decided to default on yet another sanction...a sanction the US threatened to use force on if it was not met...it seems as if Democrats have forgotten what really tipped the war off. Sure, the whole propaganda about WMD was misleading, but it was not the factual basis for the war. Democrats and Republicans voted unanimously for action. And now, they blame Republicans and call our president a back woods hick..

Its my opinion that war is necessary to maintail peace. If we hadn't of followed through with our threat to Iraq, we would lose some integrity. We made a threat, and not following through with it would have made us more of a target--and made us appear to be wind bags that don't back up what they say. Whad do you think? Don't you think Democrats share the blame?

  • What would happen if a nuclear bomb hit somewhere?

I'm looking for information on what would happen afterwards. What would be the destruction zone? How long would it take to affect the whole world? Things of that nature. I need a website with information regarding these topics.

  • what was that show called?

It was a show based on taking a modern day family with all the best things in life and putting them in the equivelent of a upper class lifestyle based on life in the 1800s. I can't remember what it was called and would like to order it. I just need the title of it. I remember Oprah actually going on the show for a day to visit the lifestyle of the 1800s with a friend of her's which is how I discovered the show.

  • Okay, lets help me give some advice.?

My best friend in the whole world tells me a lot of stuff I really don't want to hear about. Well, I don't really mind giving her advice--but last night I didn't even know how to begin. She said her husband was wanting to experiment sexually in ways she wasn't comfortable with, she did really elaborate further. She was upset because he tried something new on her without asking her first, or even bringing it up. Whatever it was it really messed up her evening and freaked her out. So now she's kind of scared to have sex with him again because she thinks he might try it again and she doesn't want that. My best friend is 22, she's rather quiet and a little shy. She says she thinks she's not freaky enough for him and is worried he will get bored with her and wanted to know what I thought she should do...first about how to talk to him about what freaked her out, and then two how to make things exciting for him and comfortable for her.

  • Why act that way?

What is the point of being mean and nasty to people who ask honest questions on here? I get that a lot of people think its okay to be a major jerk online because its anonymous. I don't agree with that. I don't think it is ever okay to treat someone abusively regardless of the media you use. It gets frustrating that so many people on here are idiots like that. I mean, don't they have anything better to do? Too bad Yahoo won't let you choose which answers you want to delete, that way you don't have to have your answer marked up with their stupidity.

  • This day and age...?

Do you think it is a good idea for parents to put their teenage daughters on the pill when they hit puberty? Do you think it is better to be safe than sorry? Or do you believe that parents can put enough control on even the unruliest teen to make them behave? Answer me as if you were regarding your own, problematic, teenage daughter.

  • Thoughts on Myspace?

I can't stand it. I hate the trend it has been made into. I had a blog before blogs were even cool, and I used it to write in, and still do to this day. Myspace seems like a quick way for lonely people to get laid. I think it is a waste. At least that was my experience with it. Guys from the area were always asking if I wanted to meet up, have a date, or if I was open to sex on the first date. I got tired of that and deleted it. What do you think?
