  • What's more fuel efficient? A low tank or a full tank?

Is it more fuel efficient to fill your tank to the top, or to leave it low? I've heard that the more gas you carry, the more gas your car has to use because of the extra weight. But I've also heard that a car needs a full tank in order for gas pump to work correctly, and leaving it low can cause problems with your car.

  • What is the best time of day to fly to avoid crowds?

I'm planning on flying Southwest Airlines to travel to Seattle from Albuquerque in April and wanted to know if there is best time to fly if I'm trying to avoid busy flights and crowds. I'm a tall guy and need to have my choice of seating.

  • Does urine corrode porcelain?

I've been starting to do the "yellow let it mellow, brown flush it down". but my friend says I shouldn't do this because urine corrodes toilets. This statement seemed very wrong to me, so I checked the internet and couldn't find anything that says urine corrodes porcelain. Should I stop saving water for the sake of my toilet, or is my friend wrong?

  • What is an appropriate show of condolence for a death?

My manager recently had her child die during childbirth and I wanted to show my condolences, but I'm not sure how. I was thinking about giving flowers, but thought it would be odd since that was what I was going to give her when her baby was born. What would an appropriate show of condolence be for this type of situation?

  • What do you hate about your office job?

I am currently writing a scene in a fiction story where the main character is going through a typical day at his office job at a call center. I'm looking for ideas on how to show the soulless atmosphere people deal with at these type of jobs. To help, please let me know what you hate most about your job. I'm especially interested in the parts of the job that make you feel insignificant and depressed.

  • The Health Care bill passed. Why isn't the sky falling?

I watch a lot of FOX and they promised the country would be destroyed if health care passes. I have all my family in an underground bunker with years worth of food. Is the world going to end tonight? Or do I have to wait till Obama signs it? Or will I have to wait till 2014 for the world to end?

  • Why do they call it Obamacare? Shouldn't it be Pelosicare?

Obama had little to do with the actual deal making. What's in the bill is a reflection of the yes votes, meaning its a Demcare bill. Pelosi is actually the person who brought it all together and did a lot of the deal making; maybe she should have to privilege of having it called after her. Or do they call it Obamacare because the republicans have built up an evil image of Obama and are trying to cash in on the unfounded Obama-hate they grew by trying to make it seem like he was in complete control?

I honestly would like to know because it sounds like your saying Obamacare with a lot of hate. It reflects that you don't hate what's in the health care bill, but you hate Obama. I'd appreciate if you didn't let your personal feelings about a black president hinder your ability to help your fellow countrymen.

  • Is the tea party like children who need to be forced to take their medicine?

It's widely accepted that the health care bill will extend coverage to millions of Americans. And although independent analysis shows that the health care bill will lower the deficit by billions within ten years and over a trillion in 20 years, republicans and tea party members continue to reject the bill on the premises that it will make the deficit worse. Is there any legitimate analysis that shows it will increase the growth of premiums? Or are those opposing the bill like children who need to be forced to take their medicine because they don't know better or don't like the taste of the GOP's biased label of "Socialism"?

  • How do you refer to text as a noun?

I am currently having a problem with a creative writing piece. A character is working in front of a chalk board and is interacting with the words written down. On the chalkboard is written efficiency in bold print and the character underlines it. Can i simply write, "He underlined efficiency," or "He underlined EFFICIENCY,"? Or does the word efficiency have to be in quotation marks also? (IE "He underlined 'EFFICIENCY.'")

  • Is my toe broken? Should I go to a doc?

A couple days ago, I stubbed my pinky toe very hard against a doorway (It made a loud cracking noise). It swelled and turned purple. Some of the pain has gone away, but the toe, and a large circle around the toe, are still purple and swollen. It hurts to put direct pressure on it, but I can walk and jog without it hurting.

I showed it to my friend, who is a mix martial artist, and he said that he's never never seen a toe injury look as bad as mine. He says its probably broken, but that all a doctor can do is tape it to the other toe to help keep it stable.

Is that true? Should I even bother going to a doctor?

  • How do you confront coworkers about racist comments?

I work at a hotel in Rio Rancho, NM and I've been having a problem with our night auditor. He is constantly saying very racist things. He is a very old Texas man who is extremely defensive. It is already hard to mention any sort of mistake he makes without him becoming extremely defensive and hostile. Although he has always made comments that could be considered racist, recently the things he says has become more malicious (IE laughing about the dead Haitians and using the "N" word to describe them; he believes every girl that checks in with a black guy is a prostitute; complaining that slowness in repairs at our work is due to owners religion; rants on about native Americans and claims they are all alcoholics.) This is really starting to bother me and I want to at least give him a chance to stop these inappropriate comments. I'm worried that a guest will overhear the comments he makes to me and blame me as well.

Can anyone recommend a way I can bring this up in a delicate way?

  • What sort of emotional issues do Republicans need to work out?

Every now and again I volunteer at a crisis center and a lot of things I hear from paranoid schizophrenics are the same things republicans are saying about Obama, he's trying to destroy the country, he's going to turn us into a police state like Nazi Germany, hes going to take away their guns and freedom. All of this is delusional paranoia that has no basis in what Obama has done and said. Do you think many of these conspiracy theorist need to be on medication. A lot seem unstable and dangerous in the way that only a crazy person is.

  • I am better off and more secure with Obama in office. Are you?

With his tax break, I make more money each pay check (about 20$) and it allows me to spend more on things I want and need. I no longer feel ashamed to be American when talking to people from other countries. Members of my family have been able to use the cash for clunker program to purchase more fuel efficient cars. Last year my sister bought a house and was able to get help from the government to pay for it (she would have not been able to afford it otherwise.) Many road repairs in my city have been purely funded by the stimulus package. Business at my work during 2009 was better than 2008 (I work at a hotel). Friends in the military say that Barack's restructuring and increase of defense spending has put more armor on their backs and money in their pockets.

What actions did Obama take that helped to improve your community? Does your state depend on the stimulus package has heavily as mine?

  • RNC selling fear to reactionist and ego-driven donors?

In a recent Politico article (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/33866.ht... a slide show left from a RNC fund-raising presentations shows that for the upcoming elections the republican party plans to depict the current administration as an "Evil Empire" in order to conjure fear out of donors. The slide show obtained also shows a undeniable disdain for donors by focusing on manipulating reactionist and ego-driven donors (to list a few). Is this just politics as usual, the only way republicans can gain power, or a clear example of republicans trying to distort their base's emotions for political gain?

  • I've had anxiety problems all my life. Weed is the only thing that's helped. How can I get a prescription?

I live in New Mexico where medical marijuana is legal. Ever since I was in middle school I've had panic attacks and extreme anxiety problems. Although I no longer have panic attacks, I still have strong anxiety problems and the only thing that seems to help is smoking weed. I've been on a ridiculous list of anti-depressants and anti-psychotics, but they only gave me side-effect along with my normal problems. Is it possible to see a psychologist and ask to be prescribed some form of THC? I'm afraid I'd be forced to take pills again instead of being allowed to use what i know works.

  • Do you want republicans to fail at trying to make the country fail?

Too many republicans want the country to fail just because Obama is president. Do you want their selfish/childish protest to end? Or do you feel that you would rather have the county fail because Obama is fulfilling his campaign promises?
