How should I negotiate my salary?
I'm currently waiting for a formal offer to be written out, but I do know that I want more than what they are offering me. In their case, I don't have the full qualifications that they are lookign for, neither enough same job title experience. But, on my end, I currently am working, I have three other interviews, and mostly all of them look positive. They said that out of the 6 people they interviewed, I ranked first by far, and they even congratulated me for having such a great interview. Looks liek they want me. It's a sales position. I'm wondering if I should decline their first offer or tell them my position - the fact that I have other positive interviews and that the same job at my company actually offers 10,000 more in the starting range. they won't give me the same position at my company because they want to see the accreditation first but at the other one, they were willing to hire me and give me 18 months to complete my accreditation. So in a way, it's still fine. But I know I'd be more at peace with at least 5,000 more. What do you think? I have never tried to negotiate my salary before. I always asked if I could get more, but I think there must be an art of negotiation that I should learn.
3 AnswersMarketing & Sales9 years agoWhat do you think about your husband giving you a really expensive gift that came from your common account?
You do the home budgetting. You only have one common account in the household. But one day, your husband surprises you with an expensive give that came from that common account. A gift that you don't really need, an unecessary luxury. You're kinda saving up for a trip. What would you do? How would you react?
9 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agodo financial planners hired at the bank have expense accounts?
what types of perks can i get if i consider a job in financial planning? Basically, to be precise, a job as a financial advisor for CIBC. I'm looking more for blackberries, laptops, credit card accounts.. Just wondering..

5 AnswersOther - Destinations1 decade agoHow do you get some direction in life?
I'm almost 25, been in university for almost 5 years now, got kicked out, and am just reapplying to go back for part time. It will take me another year to finish my bachelor's which i have started and gotten me in trouble cause i wasn't too interested in the beginning. I was taking Management Infomation Systems. I am also 10 courses away from finishing a major in Political Science as well. I am currently working in the bank as a teller and am not too happy about it cause the salary is low and i feel like i want more. Now, I'm taking the Securities Course to sell investments. I'm all over the place, but i really just am trying to do the best out of my time, seeing what i like. and i like selling, and i don't really like computers (M.I.S.) as much, but am 8 courses away from graduating. My parents are sick of waiting when i will graduate already. I am sick too myself. I need some direction. Can 't i just buy it in the store?!
4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agocan't handle this anymore. MASSIVE HELP!?
I don't know how i will be able to do this. I really really want to break up with my bf, but I'm always too weak and just keeps on calling him back. I hate the fact that he smokes, lies constantly, possibly smoking weed behind my back, gambles, lies again, doesn't want to study and go to school, he's 25!.
I feel as if I'm stuck in this loop hole. I am not meeting anyone new, no potential other guys, even friends are like almost non existent anymore cause I was just always with him. But my friends just party anyway which I don't really feel like anyhow, I tried, but it's just not my scene anymore.
My bf just makes me cry all the time. He always makes the wrong decisions, in terms of worsening things rather than helping out. He is so vulgar and yells in public. He just shuts himself up and numbs his feelings when he's pissed and ignores me.
I've been with him for a year at least and more story behind it too. My friends really think that I'm settling, but I just can't let go.
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agowhat do you do if you suspect your boyfriend to be bisexual???
he did not really have the proper upbringing and has not had any parental (especially paternal) guidance since his early teenage years.
although i don't have the 100% accurate proof, the insecurities are mounting day by day that i live with him. I could still find a logical reason to think that he's on his healing process, but the question is do i have to stay if he needs me by his side? i love him, but i really really don't want to get hurt.
