  • Taking out a wall in my kitchen?

What do I have to do in order to take out half of the wall separating my kitchen from my dining room? I want to open it up but still have the cupboards on the bottom so it's like a breakfast bar?

  • Should I be upset?

My maid of honor announced a week ago that she was planning my bachelorette for this upcoming weekend. I just found out that she sent out the invitations for it today, for my bachelorette to be on Saturday. Well of course nobody can come! All of my friends have jobs that are not monday to friday 9-5 so a lot of them have to work and obviously 4 days is not enough time for them to book it off. On top of that, this weekend is the long weekend so of course the other half who don't have to work are going out of town camping or already have big plans for the weekend. So now for my bachelorette there is going to be 4 us. Like, what did she expect when you try to plan a bachelorette in a week? My sister (a bridesmaid) is being very supportive because she too thinks this is ridiculous, but not being the maid of honor she left the planning of the bachelorette up to the MOH. She says we'll all have fun just the 4 us, but this really just puts me in a sour mood and I don't feel like even going

  • Does Italy have public health?

Does Italy have public health like Canada or private health like the US? I'm going there in a couple months and it would be good to know.

  • Am I being unreasonable?

I'm not sure if this unreasonable or not. I found subscriptions to porn in my boyfriend's email and I'm not one of those people who is totally offended by it but it doesn't make me feel very good that he is watching it. Is it unreasonable to ask him not to watch it while he is in a relationship wtih me?

  • Where would I go to do this?

I decided after my wedding that I'm going to turn my dress into a bassinet for my children. How would I go about doing this? Do I take it to a seamstress?

  • How much should I expect to pay?

I'm going for my first dress fitting soon and when I bought the dress it fit me like a glove. Although I have lost weight it has a corset back so it won't need to be taken in. It only needs about 3 iches taken off the hem. There is some beading at the bottom of the front and it has a beaded train as well (do they hem that as well?). How much should I expect to pay at the bridal salon to just hem my dress? Would it be cheaper if I went to a local seamstress?

  • Are you scared about infidelity?

I've been reading a lot of the questions in marriage an divorce and I'm just wondering if any of you married ladies ever worry about cheating? Even though I love my fiance to death and he is such a great guy, I'm so scared that this will happen to me. Not because he's being suspicious, but just because it seems to happen to so many women who probably didn't expect it when they married that man. I don't know what to do about these thoughts. Did any of you feel this way when you were about to get married? How did you get over it?

  • What's the most memorable thing at a wedding?

At all the weddings you've been to, what are the things that you remember most? Was it food, music, favors, decor? I'm just curious to know what's worth spending more money on for a memorable wedding...

  • What do you think of this dress? (pics)?

So long story short, we are having two ceremonies. One is Friday night in our church and it's very informal and only close family. The next day we are having an outdoor ceremony with all of our guests and with a big reception. I have my big white wedding dress for Saturday but I've been looking for a nice, but not too formal dress to wear to the other ceremony. I came across this one. What do you guys think? I'm don't think I want a white dress, I kind of wanted to save that for the big ceremony.

I am tall and curvy with long brown hair. Do you think it would look good? Do you think I should get a different color? It comes in pretty much any color you can think of.

  • Would this look weird? Is it worth it?

I really like the look of chair covers but we are on a budget and it would cost $400+ to cover all of our chairs. Is it worth it to you? Would it look weird if we just got some tulle and tied pretty bows around each chair? The chairs are dark green which doesn't go with my wedding but it matches the room pretty well and theyre not ugly. They're fairly new. Any ideas on what I should do?

  • Maid of Honor Help?!?

My maid of honor and I have been close friends for close to 10 years. However, since breaking up with her long time boyfriend last year she has really changed. She drinks a lot, is always clubbing (which is fine, just not my style), she even did some porn which astounded me. I stuck by her because we have been friends for so long. I just feel she hasn't really been helping out. She didn't help at all with my social (for those of you who don't know it's basically a big party in honor of our wedding) and my sister has been the one to completely plan my upcoming shower. I got really upset after the social because of how little help she was and how big of an attitude she had toward everyone during the night and wrote her an email explaining how I felt. I said as my maid of honor I expect more from her. I admit, I should have talked to her in person but I was just really upset and did it spur the moment. After reading the email she called my MOTHER! I couldn't believe it.

  • Mother in Law Help?!?!?

This is kind of difficult to explain on here but basically the plan for our wedding was to get married in our church one day with just immediate family and have an outdoor wedding and reception another day for all of our guests due to strict rules in our church. Well, my future MIL went behind my back and spoke to the minister at the church and scheduled the church wedding for the same day as the reception which we've had booked for almost a year. She knew exactly what our plan was before hand. I wouldn't mind getting married in the church with our guests except that like I said it has strict rules about males/females and also about timing. So now that it is booked in the church, I absolutely cannot change it (again, very strict). I'm just so upset because I really wanted an outdoor wedding and now our guests will have to wait 4 hours in between the ceremony and the reception instead of going straight from one to the other. I also now have to cancel the other ceremony site.

  • 30th anniversary idea?

My parents are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year and I wanted to do something nice for them with my siblings. Can you guys come up with something fun and unique? Money isn't really an issue but I would rather not spend a huge amount of it.

  • Open bar/Cash bar question?

For our wedding we are having an open bar for cocktail hour (5-7pm) then wine being served during dinner (7-8pm) and a cash bar afterwards. I know people hate cash bars but we decided on this to reduce cost but more importantly for liability purposes. My question is, how do I let guests know this? Where do I include it in the invitation? On a seperate card, the RSVP, or somewhere else? How would I word it? Thanks for your help.

  • Money dance question?

My fiance is Filipino and so when my family asked his what kind of traditions they have that they want included at the wedding they mentioned this money dance. From what I've heard it sounds incredibly tacky and I don't like the sound of it at all. How do I tell his parents that I do not want this done at my wedding without hurting their feelings or bashing their tradition?

  • Do you think a colored petticoat would look good?

I saw a website with pictures of colored crinoline under wedding dresses and though it looked really good. I just don't know if it would look good under my dress. As well, does it match the wedding colors? My main color is sort of a salmon pink so it would be hard to match. Here's a pic of my dress. Do you think it would look good and what color would you do it?

  • How do I ask him if he's interested in being **** buddies? (mostly for guys)?

I have this friend and he's really great and we have fun together. The thing is I find him incredibily attractive and everytime I'm with him I just want to jump him. How do I ask him or find out if he would be interested in being 'friends with benefits'. He's not involved with anyone and I wouldn't want to date him or anything. What could I say to see if he would be interested without freaking him out and not wanting to be my friend?

  • What should I do? He just doesn't seem interested?

I've been with this guy for 3 years. At first things were great and fun. But for the past while he just doesn't seem interested in sex. It's very frustrating because I always have to initiate it and it's kind of routine. We're getting married in 3 months but I don't want to have to go the rest of my life like this. I'm a very sexual person and I love having fun in bed. Sometimes I think if I just leave him alone and don't initiate it he'll get the point and try it himself but everytime I do that we go 3-4 weeks without doing it and then i just break down and initiate it myself. I feel like if I don't ask him we'd go forever without having sex.
