  • How can I fix a car alarm to get amy car started?

I have a car with an after market car alarm. I do not know the type of alarm, as it was already installed when I got the car. The toggle switch under the dash (kill switch?) has come off leaving two wire ends. The car will not start and only the lights flash as if the alarm is active. How can I fix the problem to get the car started? I tried pig tailing the wire ends together with no luck. I welcome any suggestions.

  • Why won't the pilot light on my water heater stay on?

I have a gas water heater that has been having a problem with the pilot light. I notice that it keeps going out. I will light it and it stays on and fires the flames, but I think goes off after the burner cycle. Then when i try to relight it, it doesn't stay lit. I turn off the unit altogether and leave it for a while. When I come back and turn it back on, I can light it and the cycle starts all over. It isn't more than 2 years old. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Why does my vehicle lose power?

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition. Lately, it seems that under any stress it has no power and feels like it will stall. Especially when going uphill. I'd appreciate any help that anyone could offer, as I'd like an idea of the problem before I take it in for service.

  • Does anyone know why my spa won't heat up?

I just drained and cleaned my spa. It is a Tiger River Spa (Bengal) and when I refilled it, it doesn't heat up. I did everything according to plan, including bleeding the jets and priming the system. However, it still doesn't heat. I pressed the reset on the heater as well. Does anyone have any other thoughts of what I could try before shelling out big bucks for a technician that could turn out to be something simple.

  • Is it more energy effiecient to turn your heat on and off, or to maintain it at a lower temperature?

I want my heat to be at 65 or so when i get home from work. Is it better to keep it at 50 or 60 during the time I'm not home? I can't figure out if the energy burned keeping it at a higher "away" temp is more or less than that which will be burned getting the temp up to 65 from the lower "away" temp.

  • Why does my "DOOR AJAR" warning light keep going on?

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition. It seems that the open door warning keeps going on. I know the doors are closed and often I go around the vehicle and slam all the doors and even the hatch. Sometimes this solves the problem and sometimes not. I'm wondering if it is a sensor of some sort or something else.

  • How to stop hip pain?

My hip tends to ache a lot. I run about 10-20 miles a week, and would like to know if there is a good stretch or other method that will help keep the pain down. It feels like someone is trying to pull my leg off. I go to a chiropractor, but would like additional help for between visits.

  • Car won't start?

I have a 200 Ford Expedition that is not starting. I don't think it is the battery, as there seems to be enough electrical power for the lights, radio, etc. The engine doesn't even crank when the key is turned. I'm guessing celenoid. Any suggestions?
