Weird Lawn Ornaments?
Ok, this has been bothering me for years. Have you ever seen those weird geese lawn ornaments that people seem to be dressing up in little outfits??? They're everywhere now. And I noticed in my neighborhood that many people have several different outfits they dress their geese in and religiously change them every week. I saw one in a Cleveland Indians jersey today. What is wrong with people?! Is this some sort of cult I'm not aware of?
17 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhy is it that every time I go to Kohl's...?
they ask me when I'm checking out: Do you want to sign up for a Kohl's card? Do you want to buy another one of those, they're on sale! What's your phone number? What's your email address? Would you like to be on our mailing list?
Hee hee, I was about ready to jump the counter and strangle the lady. Would you people just let me buy my stupid Nikes so I can go home?!
9 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoPet food recall and rat poison?! Is it just me or...?
Ok, this whole recall thing is getting worse and worse. It was bad enough when people's beloved pets were getting ill and dieing. It got ten times worse when I found out Menu Foods knew about this since December. I felt sick to my stomach when I read that the company started testing the tainted food on healthy cats and dogs, killing 6 out of every 10. Now it's coming out that rat poison may be in the food!
Something is seriously wrong here. Is it just me or did Menu Foods intentionally lie to everyone that the problem was wheat gluten when they knew in the first place it was rat poison? Anybody else have the feeling the whole wheat gluten story was just a lie and maybe Menu Foods never intended to admit it was rat poison? When the government stepped in and conducted its own testing did that "force" the truth out of this horrible company?
10 AnswersCats1 decade agoAnybody have a tent for their cat?
Last weekend I went out to the Columbus Pet Expo here in Ohio. Among several toys and other things, I actually got a small tent for my cat! I think it's adorable (it looks like an elephant and is actually a kids' tent), and set it up in my living room. Here's a pic of the same tent I bought:

The back has a nice big opening, the two feet in front unzip into kitty-sized entrances, and the ear flaps on the sides roll up revealing two screened windows. I put some blankets and toys inside, and my cat loves it! It's her own little fort. It's safe and sets up anywhere with just 2 tent poles on the inside.
Has anybody else out there tried this or something similar with their cat or kitten?
16 AnswersCats1 decade agoDouble-Jointed Cat?
My cat Hobbes is about 1 and a half yrs old. Ever since she was a kitten she has had this weird habit of lying on her stomach with her back legs straight out, with her paw pads facing up. The shelter workers from the rescue center I adopted her from knicknamed her the "frog legs" kitten, lol.
I was wondering if anyone else has a cat that lays like this. I have had many cats and have never seen this. My vet has checked out Hobbes' legs and said there is nothing wrong with her; she's probably double-jointed just like some people are. Hobbes seems quite comfortable in this position. She does this daily and even naps like this sometimes.
Here's a picture of her in her frog legs pose:
6 AnswersCats1 decade agoOpinions on pet water fountains for my cat?
I'm thinking about getting one of those pet fountains for my cat. She absolutely loves drinking (and playing in) running water from our tub and sinks so I think she would enjoy something like this.
I've been looking online and in pet supply catalogs, Drinkwell and Fresh Flow seem to be the popular brands. What kind do you have, and do you and your pets like it? Any suggestions on what size would be good for a cat? I'd prefer one that doesn't need the filter changed on a daily basis and is fairly easy to clean. Price is not really an issue; I just want a quality fountain.
