Loud electrical buzz with 70's Archtop guitar?
There is a loud buzz from my guitar when I plug it into an amp. The amp doesn't buzz with any other guitar. I took out the whole pickup, pots, and jack assembly, but didn't see any broken connections. Could a bad ground make that loud of a buzz? or could it be that the jack is bad? too dirty? I really don't want to buy a whole new set if I can fix this buzz. I would really appreciate some help.
1 AnswerOther - Electronics1 decade agoreally old fender bass guitar amp sounds like speaker is blown. Speaker looks fine and fuse looks fine. ???
i acquired this amp used back in the early 90's and it has worked fine until a few days ago. We were jamming and all of a sudden it just started sounding like crap. It sounds like when my friends bass amp's fuse blew, but I checked it and it looks fine. any ideas?
