  • Apgujeong and T-money?

Hi. We will be going to Seoul soon and have these questions to ask.

    1) I often read that one may bump into celebrities in Apgujeong. But then again, I noticed that there are two in the subway map, Apgujeong (Line 3) and Apgujeong Rodeo (Bundang Line). So, which is the right one? What is the difference between the two?

    2) We will be going as a family of four, 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 14.

    a) Do we need to get 4 T-money cards or JUST one (scan 4 times) will suffice?

    b) Is there a separate fee for child when using subway single ticket and T-money?

    Thank you.

  • How does the Paris card works?

With so many cards available for traveling around Paris, 1 day card, 3 card card and 5 day card, but can anyone tells me when does it start and when does it ends?

    1) Does it start automatically from e.g. midnight today and ends at midnight tomorrow?

    2) or, from e.g. 10.00 am today and ends at 10.00 am tomorrow, in other word, it begins with the time we start activating the card?

Is it the mode of start/expiry the same for Mobilis, Navigo and Paris Visite card?

    Thanks

  • Suggestions for day trip to nearby cities from Paris?

I will be going to Paris in May for a short visit.

I was wondering what would be a good place to visit as a side trip to another city nearby Paris.

It could be out to the countryside, or even to another city in neighboring country by rail.

I know nothing about France, any suggestions, anyone?

  • transportation around Paris?

I will be going to Paris soon and have two questions that I hope that someone will advice me on this.

    1) Since I will be going with my family (me, my wife and 2 young kids age 12 and 9), would it more budget-wise to get a taxi to take us around the city since it'll be a single fare for us as compared to paying for 4, say in a bus or the metro subways?

    2) I've read somewhere that the taxi only allow for 3 passengers, does that apply to a family of 4 like us?

    Thanks.

  • Chinese funeral arrangements in Florida? Anyone knows anything about it?

Have you been through this experience before? I'm at lost as to what to do.

My dad was a chinese buddhist and he just passed away. We're all Catholic, except for my mom. Here in the Tampa, Florida, such things could be a hassle as our community isn't that large.

I wonder if there are service providers here that provide services like prayers, funeral arrangements, cremation advice, funeral related goods and stuffs, etc.

  • How to get to Kota Bahru from Penang or Kuala Lumpur?

I was thinking of driving from KL to Penang, later from Penang to KB. How long does it take to drive there and what road to take?

Also, I was told that there are 2 ways to drive up to KB from KL. First, is via Karak to Kuantan to KB along the coast, and takes about 8 hours.

Second, from Karak via Bentong through Gua Musang to KB. Anyone knows how long does it takes via this option?

Of the 2, which is a better road to take?

Recently I installed ZoneAlarm and now, everyday, I get this message telling me that ZoneAlarm has detected an intrusion to my computer from 192.168.0.1. (Port 4136) (TCP Flags: S).

What the hell is that? What should I do? Should I just leave it as it is or set it to always allow?

    Thanks

  • Going on a tour round Japan?

My wife and I (we're in early forties) have been planning to go for a month-long Japan tour next year. My objectives are to visit as many beautiful places and cities as possible, probably starting out from Osaka and ending in Hokkaido.

Should I get a JR Pass, commute by bus or rent a car?

Is there some way that we can arrange for a stayover or homestay for a couple of days?

Places to visits or events that I should take note of?

Any suggestions on how to do it in the most economical way?

BTW, I can speak and write Japanese.
