  • Anyone get migraines?

I've been getting migraines since I was a kid, and the only thing that really worked for me was sleep. I don't have any insurance to get the whole thing looked at, but I've happened upon one thing that works for me---tylenol with codeine. I'm looking for something more natural to help, a pain blocker maybe? Please, I've already looked online for all the answers, so just people who have personal experience with them. Thanks.

  • Has anyone tried the candida diet?

Has anyone tried this diet, and what are your experiences? I'm considering giving this diet a go, but I'm not really sure where to start, and if it is really safe. It seems like there are lots of foods that are cut out, and I'm worried about adequate caloric intake. Anyone have anything they can suggest? Good, bad, indifferent? Is it a crock? Legit? Let me know...

  • ramadan question...?

A lady I work with claims that she knows a man from the Middle East who refuses to allow his hair to become wet during the day during Ramadan (no washing, getting caught in the rain, etc) . Since I converted to Islam, and wasn't born a Muslim, I am not sure if this is true or not. Has anyone else ever heard of this rule? Is it cultural? Is she mistaken? Any thoughts?

  • What do you think of this HP idea.....?

Someone asked a question about her continuing the series, and something hit me-----in a weird way, Harry did die. I mean in the books the whole neither-can-live-while-the-other-one- dies bit is really true----that's why Voldemort is dead. But Harry is dead to us-----because there are no more books, and quite honestly, if he defeated the greatest Dark Wizard, what else is there to write? Harry went out in style. You see how it kinda crossed worlds? What do you think? Does it make you sad?

  • Anyone have any interesting stories about their name?

I'm named for both of my grandparents (my name is hyphenated) but my mom saw Gone With the Wind while pregnant, and decided to spell my name like Vivien Leigh's (instead of Lea like grandma). So I'm named for my grandparents and a famous actress. Any other name stories out there?

  • Paxil and birth control pills.....?

Does anyone have any info or experience that says that birth control pills can make Paxil stop working? I've been on 10 mg of Paxil since December for panic disorder/depression, and I've been doing great...the thing is, I started taking birth control pills (Ortho-cyclen) last Sunday. I started to feel a little down on Wednesday, but I figured that I was just tired. On Friday, my boyfriend and I had an argument, and by Saturday, I was a blubbering mess...I mean, it was almost like I wasn't medicated at all. I've been down, I haven't wanted to eat, and I just want to sleep, and today, for the first time in 2 months, I had to take an Ativan for a serious panic attack....funny, I haven't had any issues until after I started te birth control. Anybody have any input? Could it even be that I need a higher dosage of the Paxil? Any thoughts?

  • Is it necessary to go to the doctor for strep throat?

My glands in my throat are swollen (on the right side) and it is difficult to swallow. I've had this problem lots of times, and it usually clears up in a few days. But I noticed that there was a little bit of a whitish coating on them last night, and I had never seen that happen before. I also had a pretty high fever last night (101.5) but it went away last night in my sleep, and I woke up feeling pretty good. The problem is that my glands are still killing me. I don't have medical, and I would be waiting in the emergency room for hours waiting to see someone at the county hospital. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do? Should I see a doctor, or wait a few days to see if I feel better? IS this strep throat???

  • Youngest person ever executed....?

I found an article a few months ago, about an eleven year old Native American girl that was hanged during colonial times (for something stupid like stealing the toy of a little 7-year old white girl) but I can't find the article again, and I can't remember the girl's name. She was mentally disabled. (Don't freak, this isn't a report due for school) does anyone have any ideas of who this girl is, or where I can find info?

  • Why don't the police officers die in "The Grudge"?

Okay....The premise of the movie is that everyone who enters the house is filled with rage, and dies....right? Then why doesn't the lead investigator die? I never got that....my brother said that to get the real answer, you have to watch the original movie, not the English version....also said something about the officer actually "being dead already". Any thoughts?

  • Question for folks on Paxil or with paxil experience....?

I've been on 10mg of Paxil for a month (they call it a sub-clinical dose) and 1mg of Atavan for panic disorder. When I come off, will the fact that these dosages are relatively low make it easier for me to come off of the drugs? Any info is appreciated guys.
