  • What does adoption mean to you? What does it look like? Why do we do it?

I am attempting to write an article about what people think adoption is, I was wondering if you could give me some help with what adoption is to you.

    Why you think adoptions happen?

How do you think they work?

Who should be allowed to adopt?

Thank you, as I come up with better questions I will add them.

  • Can my landlord tell me that I must let their family stay with me?

Me and my boyfriend are renting a home from his mother at the moment and we will have 3 roommates within the next two months, she knows that these people are moving in to the other rooms.

I am wondering if she can tell us that because it is her house that we must let her family stay with us, whether it be for a few days or an extended period of time.

My understanding is that she cannot because we are renting the house from her and her name is on the land, but the home is "ours". I know that if she was not okay with us having people living with us that that would be different but this is her telling us that we must allow someone stay without asking if we can manage to have a guest.

  • How do so many people really know what a teenage girl is thinking or will be thinking years after an adoption?

I see things everywhere from people saying, "you'll regret it" "they'll run away with your child" "you will hate yourself"

I guess I am also curious how people who have never been adopted or been through an adoption (in recent years) would know what a child is feeling.

It has only been recent that adoption have been able to be open, and most of the bad cases are much older ones where a girl was literally forced into adoption by their family because it would have been a shame to her family otherwise.

  • Why do some many people think adoption is wrong?

I was bored and looking for advice for my friend and saw that most people that respond to questions about adoption are so totally negative about it. Why is that?
