Cat lover from birth. Current "roommate" is a 14lb Tuxedo named Puddles (as in "rescued from one in the rain at 2.5 weeks old and hand raised", not as in "makes puddles"). Re-cycle-er Tries to save the planet and generally attempts to make life better in little ways on a daily basis. (but without the cape and in a healthy, non co-dependent way!!!) Crochets-a-lot. Love putting together colors! Can convert almost any button or charm imaginable into an earring. Short. I cherish the life that God has given me. **UPDATE: I have a new "room mate" named Misty. She is a darling grey Cymric and is a perfect rumpy. **UPDATE: I lost my Puddles last Monday and my heart hurts. I am not totally ready to completely re-do my profile. She would have been 10 in March. The little one is going to have to be an only cat for a while.
I read yesterday that one may color one's hair with coffee, tea or henna.?
Individually, of course, I had heard previously about using henna, but HOW does one rinse/dye/colour with tea or coffee??? Sounds much safer than store bought concoctions-can anyone give me some insight? Thanks.
3 AnswersHair1 decade agoWho else other than me thinks that the little Yahoo eaglet with the fireworks behind him is beyond cute today?
What a darling addition for Independence Day here in America. Or, in your opinion-is he too cute and should be more dignified. (I opt for cute-just curious)

I think most of us could use pointers so this one is for everyone:
From school kids to seniors
For those that are well set and plan to stay that way
And for those that may not be so well set but are determined to more than 'just get by'.
9 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoDoes anyone have a feel on the new "Death Race" film coming out in August?
It supposedly is a reconceptualization of the the cult movie "Death Race 2000", which by nature was campy and fun. My general feel is cult films and classics should be left alone and kept away from "remake land" but there have been a few exceptions (darned, few). Any good news on this one, or should I wait for video?

Break out the black kitty cats-I have a Friday the 13th birthday today and am loving it. Friday the13th has always been a luckier day for me-but especially on my birthday. What do you all think? Do you think that people born on the 13th are luckier than mosts? This is just for fun and I am not supersticious-but I am very blessed, and I thank God for that every day!

6 AnswersMovies1 decade agoMy doc says I have a borderline, borderline pre-dispostion to A.N.A.?
She tells me it is just something to keep our eyes on and if I take multiples to take them without iron-which I have been doing although it isn't that easy to find. There is no guarantee that I will develope it but I would like to be better educated about it. Is there anyone who can give me some personal insight into this condition?
Thank you.

7 AnswersEarth Day1 decade agoLooking for Febreze or A&H Pet deoderizer alternatives?
Help! I have used Febeze and Arm & Hammer spray pet deodorize on my carpet in the past but need some alternatives. I like the way Febreze works, but I cannot tolerate the smell-The A & H worked the best, but I cannot find it in my area at all any longer. For various reasons I cannot use the "sprinkle & vacuum" type of carpet deodorizer. does anyone know of any SPRAY alternative products that work as well?
My carpets, cats and me thank you.
1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoChicks, chickies, broads, gals and dames......looking for acceptable references for women.?
Ladies, depending where we live, etc., certain terms for us are complimentary and some are insulting. I for one, don't like too many of the above slang terms that we get called, but I can deal with it and consider the source when someone is obviously out of line, but is there one or more that you prefer being called? Something not listed? Are there some that you don't ever want to be called? Please leave the obviously vulgar ones out-I would like some honest answers. Some of the gentleman (guys, boys, lads) I know are in the dark about this one too. Do us a public service and help sort out the lexicon of acceptable womenfolk references!!
Thanks.
6 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoAdvice please......doing my first poetry reading next week.?
