This guy really likes me but I don't want to date him yet...help?
There is this super sweet guy who has a crush on me, and he's a great friend. I really enjoy talking and being with him, and since he's developed a crush in me he's just generally been sweeter.
I was dating someone who turned out to be not a nice guy, and I just found out today that he is even more of a misogynistic liar than I had thought. If I were to be with a guy, I would want to be with a sweet considerate one, unlike my past few guys. I have one available, but I'm just so tired of relationships.
I don't want to lead this nice guy on - he believes that I don't have a crush on him back, but I do want to let him know that while I don't want a relationship right now, one in the future is possible. But if I say that explicitly, he'll think that I actually have a crush in him and he'll start being weird and romantic and ruin the friendship and chances of a relationship.
Help!!!!!
Oh, this weekend I'm 97% sure he's going to tell me explicitly that I'm the girl he likes. So that would be a good time to tell him...what should I say?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating7 years agoIs this guy interested in me romantically?
I met this guy in my Maths class...he's also in my discussion section, and I think he's really cute. Basically, I've been doing the homework with him, and we always have a lot of fun. We tease each other and laugh a lot and talk about work but also about things in our personal lives. When we text, we also talk about random things about ourselves, and music tastes and stuff. But I'm getting mixed messages - on one hand, I'm the one who initiates the hugs goodbye, and the texts - though he seems happy to cooperate. On the other hand, once I saw him looking around in a lecture hall of 400 people, and I went up to him and asked "Were you looking for me?" and he said "Yes, I was". Which is adorable, in my personal opinion.
So we've had good conversations, and even though he has another friend in the class who lives closer to his dorm, he looked for me during lecture and he does the homework with me (I live on the opposite side of campus) rather than his friend, who lives in his building.
But I initiate the texting and contact,
So it seems like he likes me, in my opinion, but I really, really want to either
a) be sure he likes me so I can ask him out
b) make it clear that I want him to ask me out without appearing desperate.
Help, please, and thank you so much in advance!
P.S. we've known each other for like two weeks.

4 AnswersOther - Skin & Body7 years agoA guy patted my thigh?
Basically, I just met this guy today at a casual barbecue. I'm a first year, he's a fourth year (I'm 18 and he's 20). When we met, we chatted, found out that we had two mutual friends, and we talked for four hours total. When it was dark, we were sitting by the fire pit - keep in mind that all day we've stood fairly close to each other, but I didn't think anything of it, and he rested his bent arm on the back of my chair, still didn't think anything of it.
Then, at one point, he says, "I'm going to the bathroom" and puts his hand on my thigh, like a reassuring placement and then goes up to go to the bathroom.
When he comes back we keep talking, and when I leave there was no mentioning of exchanging numbers, and he gave me and the the other girls hugs goodbye.
Was that casual?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoWhat type of perfume should I get for this girl?
My cousin in turning 14.
I'm asking because she is a unique case. Until she was about 12, she was a HUGE tomboy. As in, people thought she was a boy all the time. She got special permission to play in the boys league. She wore suits to nice occasions and cut her hair short. She spoke and acted like a boy and eschewed girls. She was basically a butch (excuse my crudeness) preteen girl.
But now she's getting griller, she asked me to put makeup on her, she wears girls clothes and she owns 4 dresses that she loves. All are from Urban Outfitters - so that gives a sense of her style.
All her friends are boys, and she doesn't like or know ow to talk to girls besides me and my younger sisters.
I'm going on etsy and going to design a perfume for her, to make sure it will be something nice for her.
What type of body mist would be god for a girl coming into femininity, who likes shopping at Urban Outfitters (so a very West Coast, Bohemian style)? Spicy scent? What sort of top, middle and dry notes?
Thank you to everyone who answers!

I'm FINALLY getting a satchel (yay!) and I want other people's input - something like Indiana Jones

OR
something like a student at Cambridge

As far as my personal style goes, sometimes I'm totally preppy, sometimes I do all black, sometimes girly or boho or grungy. So some days one will fit, some days the other ill be better.
I intend to use this as a school bag.
Thank you for any opinions, well researched or not!
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories8 years agoIs he interested in me or should I forget about him?
A few days ago, I asked a question about how to keep up a sexual relationship with a guy living on a separate continent.
My concern was that after our make out session, he told me we should "do this again" (which, as he is a very good kisser I was inclined to do) and he gave me his very specific Facebook name. Like "here's how you spell it. Also my middle name. This is how you spell my last name. Remember it!"
Maybe I'm being dramatic (I'm a young college student, I can be that way) but we made out on Saturday (no more than that, it was that time of the month) and now it's Thursday (yes I realize it's been a few days) but I friend requested him on Facebook on Monday (once again, it's been three days) and no response.
There are a few possibilities in my mind:
1. He's a guy who just wanted to hookup, told me to get in contact with him and then didnt acknowledge me and is therefore a dirt bag
2. He was flying home the next day and school starts for him next week so he hasn't bothered to check Facebook
The only reason I acknowledge the possibility of number two is because he was so ardent about me getting his fb name right and is meeting again, which leads to
3. He meant it in the moment but then he went home and was like "that was stupid I guess I'll just ignore her" (which to all guys is also a dirtbag move, just don't pretend she doesn't exist, how rude)
Which situation is most likely and what should my next move be?
A final afterthought: during our barely clothed moments, he kept being like "you're so pretty" which I had always assumed meant he respected me more than if he had called me hot, sooooo was he still just saying pretty exclusively as a way in my pants or does that signify that he may respect me a bit?
Also: I have no romantic interest, I just want to know if we could hook up next time

1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoHow do I make this unconventional fwb work?
Basically, I had this amazing make out session with a guy. Like, awesome. We couldn't do anything else because awkward timing, but later he was like "find me on Facebook! Here's how to spell my name! Repeat it back to me!" So I'm pretty sure he wants to stay in contact. When we parted ways, he was like "see you again".
Here's where it gets weird. His family lives on the opposite side of the country, but he goes to school on the other side of the world and visits where I live (I think he visits...he def goes home for breaks and they sometimes visit family by me I believe).
So ideally, it would be long distance Friends with benefits. Purely carnal, no commitment. But the thing is, he truly is a nice person, and I want to be FRIENDS with him as well.
How can I create a relationship via Facebook, that will make sure he wants me and remembers me but also makes sure he respects me as a friend? How can I build a friendship while getting him lusty?
Keep in mind that we are college age. Haven't hit the big 20.
Thank you!
2 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoHow should I connect with my childhood friend?
When I was a kid, I had a fairly good friend - a boy, I'll say his name is George (I'm a girl) basically, like 7 years ago when I was 10 he was in that stage of "girls are gross" so my mom didn't let us play anymore.
His entire family moved away for four years in 2009, and they've just come back. But we haven't kept in contact, I just randomly wondered about him and looked him up. So anyways, now he's back here in my city and he's is super attractive and my boy radar went "ping!" So I would definitely like to meet him again (I'm not shallow, if he's a jerk obvs I won't do anything). But the thing is, I haven't seen him for seven years. How do I best go about this? Not to sound creepy, but I uses to go to his house all the time, so yes, I know his neighborhood and where he lives. NOT A STALKER just have great memory.
Also, we live close, but not so close that I will see him randomly. If I want to bump into him I'll have to do so "coincidentally".
And. Our moms are good friends, so we MAY do a get together. Probably not.
Anyways, how should I go about connecting with him?
1 AnswerFriends8 years agoiPod touch 5g best case and screen protector?
I'm buying my first iPod touch, and I'm super excited :) but I know that I need a case and screen protector (I'm very into the whole "better safe than sorry" mentality).
What's the best case I can get? Please don't suggest anything above 50 bucks.
Ditto with a screen protector (which, ideally, would help protect against cracks as well as fingerprints).
4 AnswersMusic & Music Players8 years agoDrugstore makeup sponge full coverage?
I've heard a million raves about the beauty blender, but the thing is that I have pinkness on my cheeks that I want to hide with foundation (blotchy pinkness, not blushy pinkness) and I hear that the beauty blender gives sheer coverage.
What are some super cheap, drugstore makeup sponges I could use? And how do I apply to make a full coverage foundation that looks like skin, not makeup?
Note: I use cream foundation, my skin can't take liquid.
3 AnswersMakeup8 years agoHow to lose weight without running?
A better way to phrase my question would be "I want to keep that top layer of body fat covering my muscles off me. How?"
I know that the best way to do so is cardio - running.
However, I hope absolutely no time for running. I do some yoga, and it's pretty intense, but it's a required class in my schedule (for me to graduate) but it's more muscle building than cardio.
Cardio exercises I can do at home? Or at least ones that will be quick?
31 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoHow to make a guy horny in public?
The thing is, we don't kiss much. When he's hornier, he LIKES kissing.
Obviously I've thought of short skirt, etc. The only time he looks down is
a) when I'm wearing a certain shirt that makes my A cups look like a C (and then he says "That's funny, your boobs look bigger today" then looks back at my face and commences with the conversation. Every time.)
b) when I do something like wear a see through shirt with a leopard print bra (not a smart idea - I have found that there are a lot of creepy people in the world, but a last resort)
otherwise, he looks at my face.
We're on public transportation, and I know he's VERY comfortable with PDA, so that isn't a problem. What are some things I could do in order to make him a bit hornier, in public, on the train?
Obligatory note to people who tell me not to do this: For your information, I am legal. I also have lots of self confidence - I know he's attracted to me, I don't feel bad about myself. Don't call me a slut - if you are, you don't know sluts and you don't understand. To those saying that if I don't know how i shouldn't try it - when I'm trying to make a guy horny, I'm not usually in public, with a guy who tends to prefer talking to kissing. It's a very different situation. Anything else I didn't cover, don't say it unless its semi-productive. Thank You!
11 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoHow to make a guy want you?
So it's complicated. A friend of mine and I are hooking up (I'm moving away in a few months, so no worries if this is a rash decision, soon it won't matter). It's great, but there's a major problem.
I'm going to go to is house soon to mess around, but I want to make out a bit more at first, since I don't want it to be a sudden encounter, because I think that would hurt the friendship. The problem is is that we are such good friends that we prefer to spend our time talking about science or politics or cars or whatever.
Obviously, I love and appreciate our friendship. It's great. Obviously he's a bit attracted to me, since we're hoking up. but I want him to be able to initiate the makeouts, because, say, I look hot enough that talking about politics is less interesting that making out with me. Right now, as far as he's concerned, making out is a sorta fun thing, but not a priority over talking. I've already told him that, but he's sorta stubborn. I know that if I look physically hot then he'll get into it.
Note: to those people about to say flash him cleavage, I'm an A-B cup. My assets are my legs and my lean stomach.
So what should I wear/do to make him want me? We'll be in public - public transportation, the mall, thrift shopping (he's very fashionable, and love shopping. I know, weird) so I'm not going to go down on him there. But small things that will lead to more makeouts. Sorry its so long!

1 AnswerMakeup8 years agoHow and where can I get a seasonal job with no retail experience?
My winter break starts the day before christmas, and ends january 6th. Between those two points in time, I need to get a job, for various reasons. I would prefer to have a retail job, so that I can list it as experience later in life. My only experience working is as a childrens caretaker.
Any ideas on how and where I could find a job that is ok for running for only two weeks? I really need this, and I know Starbucks is REALLY hard to get into, since so many people apply.
Will I be ok in the right after christmas season? Returns and all that jazz...
6 AnswersMarketing & Sales8 years agoShould I lose my virginity in a threesome?
Here's the deal. So I have two friends that are in a relationship. I'm closer with the guy - we go home on public transportation together, and we talk about a lot of stuff, whatever. The girl I am also good friends with, she makes jokes about she and I having sex together and I go along, and one time she fondles my boobs and I was cool with that (she's just that sort of person).
So the guy and I were talking (we talk about their bedroom life a lot, there are a lot of entertaining stories, and interesting facts about the act that I hadn't known beforehand. Of course we talk about other things as well, but both of us basically are incapable of feeling awkward so we talk about what they do together) and he goes "Oh by the way, *girlfriend's name* wants to to know if you'll have a threesome with us."
I wasn't surprised by his asking, I knew she had wanted a threesome for ages and that he was cool with it, I wasn't even surprised that she chose me, since we all trust each other and are very relaxed around each other. I didn't answer him then, but I'm thinking now.
The thing is, it sounds ridiculously fun. A threesome with people who I trust and have experience? A no-brainer, right? But the thing is, I have zero sexual experience. I haven't even gotten to third base. And I am NOT into girls. The thought of going down on one, to be honest, disgusts me a bit.
The truth is, I know I will have regret whatever I do. I know if I do it, I will regret not saving it for someone who means something to me like that. At the same time, you save leftovers. My sex is not a leftover. And if I let this go, I could be losing an opportunity to do it with people I trust - as well as having fun. Of course, I don't want to ruin the very close and amazing friendship I have with the guy.
I'm seventeen, they are both sixteen and VERY experienced.
So here's the basic question - which is more worth it. For me to go ahead (which my friends and peers are saying I should do) and do it, but then regret losing it to people I don't love, or don't do it, regret the missed opportunity, have awkwardness in our friendship, and wish I had sexual experience sooner?
8 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoShould I have a three some with my friends?

First off, it sounds like so much fun. I haven't gone that far before, but they have many times, and so they know what they're doing. And for obvious reasons, that sounds great. In fact, when he first told me, it sounded like a great idea and so much fun. I am very comfortable with that being my first time, because I trust them like that.
However.
My friendship with the guy is very important. He is loyal (the most important quality, as far as I am concerned), honest, trustworthy, smart, and he gets my sense of humor. If he made weird jokes about the experience afterwards, I would feel uncomfortable, and I would definitely get really mad if he ever made jokes about how I did badly. I could tell him to stop it, which would work that out, but I do not want to lose his friendship on account of this. I don't want it to be awkward because we did something like this. At the same time, it might enhance our friendship - we will have gone to the ultimate level of friendship, and be able to trust each other completely. Yes, I do think this is very possible.
What ending will be more likely? Could it hurt my friendship with the girl? What should I do?
Note: We go to a college with fewer than 200 people (yes, colleges that size exist), so we will still see each other quite a lot, even if we try to avoid it if the worst happens. We are all 18, but I am transferring to a different school next school year.
