  • How to deal with an unstable friend?

So I recently started talking to an old friend who moved an hour away a few years ago. I haven't seen him in 1 1/2 - 2 years. He confessed to me that he got into a violence altercation with his uncle, and now has severe PTSD. On Saturday night at 1 AM he called me 5 times and left a voice mail saying he was going to kill himself. I was asleep, so obviously I was worried sick the next morning. He was okay and started talking about how he needs to change his meds. Today he texted me and told me that he's going to kill his stepmom.

I'm really scared. As someone who had a mental illness herself and is constantly stressed because of school, this is very overwhelming. Its giving me even more anxiety than I already have. I want to be a good friend but I don't know what to do.

  • how to deal with a weirdly clingy friend?

so, i have this friend. we've been friends for a little over a year. she's extremely clingy.

like, she always agrees with every opinion i state, always looks at me for my response, repeats what i say sometimes, etc.

whenever i talk about stuff that my family and i did, she always says, "aww you guys are so cute!"

she's always trying to buy me food and presents.

she stands really close to me - like we'll be seating on a five foot bench and she'll sit three inches away from me.

the weird thing is is that whenever i talk about my mental issues or my mom's recovery from cancer treatment, she's always very distant. (i know it's hard to talk about it, but a little 'how are you doing' every once in a while is nice).

i feel like i need to talk to her about everything, but she's extremely insecure and i don't want her to do something drastic.

her clingy-ness is getting to the point where i can't make new friends without her tagging along. i know that sounds selfish, but i want more friends that don't always associate me with her, and vice versa.

she doesn't have a lot of other friends besides me, which is awkward as well.

it's very frustrating and i don't know what to do. help? :/

  • What do you wear to a Warped Tour when the weather is 57 degrees?!?

So, I'm going to my first Warped Tour on Saturday. It's in San Francisco. And it's supposed to be 57 degrees. WTF?! Isn't WT supposed to be super hot? I don't know what to wear. Like, I'm sure it'll be hot because of all the people, and I'll be moving around, but still. What do you think?

  • Should I give this guy a Valentine?

Okay so there's this cute guy in my biology class. He's really quiet and is in my lab group. I made him a cheesey Valentine that says, "Hey, I think we should chill sometime and maybe go to a movie or something. Cause I think you're cute." I dunno if that'll creep him out though.

I sit in the way back at the lab tables, and he sits in one of the desks. He sat with me one time until the people who were at my table cleared out. It was kinda awkward and quiet.

I don't want to scare him away or creep him out. Should I give it to him??

  • Should I exchange my Doc Martens for a smaller size?

I got a pair of Doc Martens for Christmas that I love. The problem is is that they're a bit big. I can wear them no problem, but I have a lot of toe room. I'm 14, so my feet should grow a little over time.

Do they stretch out? Or shrink? Should I keep them? Thank you!

  • What were homosexuals called in the early 30s?

I'm writing a story for NaNoWriMo about the LGBT community in 1932. I want to use the word "f a g g o t," but I don't know if that's appropriate for the time period. (I'm not using it in a negative way, the main character is a gay man and he thinks that he's a ****** and always will be no more than a ******.)

If you have any websites or an answer to this, thank you so much! :)

  • Nikon Coolpix S4100 Help?

So, I got this camera for my birthday about three months ago. It was brand new and in almost perfect condition. I've used it a bit, and the screen has become unresponsive. When I press the little arrow at the bottom, the panel doesn't come up. It won't let me drag pictures or scroll or do anything.

Is it dirty? Is it malfunctioning? I hope that it's not a dud, because my parents probably spent a lot of money on it and I don't want it to be a waste. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

  • Freshman question? How to shake a creep off?

Okay so I'm a freshman at a new school. In my English class, I used to sit by this junior named J. He was ok at first, a little weird but decent. As the weeks passed, he started poking me and touching me. My teacher suspected something so she moved me two seats over. He's become a lot creepier, like flashing his chest at me when I'm going to the library after school and staring at me. Today he pointed a laser at my chest and it made me feel violated. I've been acting ruder towards him to make him stop bothering me, but he doesn't take a hint. Am I overreacting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • What exactly did George W. Bush do during his presidency?

I'm not looking for a liberal or conservative based opinion. I'm looking for a non biased summary of what he did in office. Thank you. :)

  • Can the Sims 3 work on the Compaq laptop CQ60?

I have about 59 GB free and it has Windows 7. I bought it a little under a year ago and it's in great shape. I'm not sure how much RAM it has.

    Do you think it'll work?
