God said... Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts. Isa 28:10 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little: Chapter by chapter & verse by verse!
Atheist: Did you make your unbelief about God after hearing both sides to the argument w/clear understanding?
Hearing both sides to the argument with clear, unbiased, comprehensive understanding of the scripture?
Not just by what anyone told you in five or ten min or sitting in church most of your life and being preach one verse here or one verse there with no clear direction.
What I mean is with clear understanding of the bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse with full translation and common sense from the old languages so that you know what the point of what is written.
Hear the complete side to God's existence, if you want to be fair in the argument:

I've known atheist argument and it is a simple one: no physical evidence equals no God.
44 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago"Hosea 6:6 For I desired love, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings"?
God wants our love and knowledge of Him more than rituals.
What is the "knowledge of Him" that God wants us to know???????
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, do you really care more about what DAY you worship or the CONTENT of your worship?
So many Christians judge each other on the day they worship instead of considering the content of their worship. Do you really thing God cares more what day you worship or the content of your worship?
Those that think you should worship God on saturday or sunday or any other day are just playing church.
God is way too intelligent for that...
We should worship God Almighty in Jesus Christ's name everyday!
I know that would impress God more.
Hsa 6:6 For I desired love, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians... Should Christians eat pork or unclean meats?
If your answer is "yes"than why would you ignore the health laws in the Leviticus 11?
What does the book of Timothy say?
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
"...to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received..."
God didn't create pigs an other scavengers to be RECEIVED. God created them to cleanse the earth. The food laws of Leviticus still apply.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
"For every creature of God [is] good.."
God created every creature good for their purpose, but not all were created for consumption by humans.
The original manuscripts say:
1Tim 4:4 =
God created all creatures good, but nothing unclean be taken with thanksgiving.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy would you want to be "rapture" if?
Read everything before commenting.
Isaiah 42
1"Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles."
His "elect" will stand against the antichrist; the false prophet.
2"He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street."
3"A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth."
4"He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law."
Why do you want to be rapture away when Jesus is coming to set judgment "IN THE EARTH"?
Check it out for your self. Stand up and check it out for your self.
Preachers can and should be questioned. After all, they are only humans. Prove your preacher wrong or prove him/her right. Just, prove them. Study God's word. Don't be deceived. You can not blame your preacher on judgment day.

There is no denial of the Trinity or Hell here.

4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow is the "rapture" fair...?
God is all fair. So, how can the "rapture" be fair when there are so many Christians that don't understand the word of God? Why would Jesus "rapture" away only Christians when they also sin?
It is not fair or logical. We all sin. God made us all and wants us all to be saved (2Peter 3:9, 1Timothy 2:3-4, Isaiah 45:22)
The "elect" of God will witness against the false Jesus, the devil.
If the elect are taken away, how can they witness against the antichrist? (Luke 21:12-15)
Mat 24:24 "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you believe in the "rapture"...?
Let's try this again.
While you, rapture believers, are still in the flesh waiting for the rapture.
Would you believe on the rapture? Would you fall for the deception of the fake Jesus that will sit in Jerusalem?
Let me give it to you straight.
The devil will come first. He will look like Jesus. He is going to claim that he is Jesus. He will do miracles in order to convince you that he is Jesus.
The true Jesus will come after this. There is no rapture.
We all will be transformed in to the spirit when the true, and one and only, Jesus comes.
2 Thessalonians 2:
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he, as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you believe in the "rapture"...?
Would you believe in the fake Jesus that will sit in Jerusalem, when you're still in the flesh, waiting for the rapture?
For, the fake Jesus, the false prophet, the devil, will be looking like Jesus. Pretending to be Jesus, but his voice will be of the dragon, the devil.
Rev 13:4” And they worshipped the dragon…”
Rev 13:11 "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." Horns represent power; power like Jesus but speaking like the dragon, the devil.
When this happens, remember that the devil comes before the true Jesus.

23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy was God please with the church of Smyrna and Philadelphia?
Could it be because they thought who the Kenites are?
Smyrna:
Rev 2: 9"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan"
Philadelphia:
Rev 3: 9"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."
In Genesis 3:15 God talking to the devil: "15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
Enmity between the seed of Eve and the seed of satan; the descendents of Cain.
In John 8:44 "Ye are of [your] father the devil…" Jesus talking to the Kenites. The so called "Jews", not the true house of Judah

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy believe in the "fly away doctrine"?
In the book of Ezekiel 13:3"Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!" This is the subject of the chapter, "foolish prophets" Than it goes on saying: 20"Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly."
The subject in the book of 1 These 4 is in verse 13-14. These verses are saying: don’t be ignorant concerning the ones that are dead, or sorrow as if they didn’t have hope. As we believe that Jesus died and rose to Heaven, so are the ones that die in the flesh, they are in Heaven with God. Confirmation: 2Cr 5:8 “We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.”
So, why feel that 1 Thes 4:16-18 says that there will be a ‘rapture’.

1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHave you read 2 Thessalonians concerning the rapture?
Many base the rapture on 1 Thes 4:16-17. But they forget to carry the subject in verse 13.
They also forget that the book of 2 Thes was written because the Thessalonians misunderstood the first book. Consider this:
2 Thessalonians 2:3”Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” Did you catch the subject of this verse: “that day shall not come”. Keep this in mind.
The “…falling away first…” is when the devil is cast out of Heaven and onto Earth.
The “man of sin”, “the son of perdition” is the devil. Also, “…and that man of sin be revealed…” The devil comes looking like Jesus, but has a voice of a dragon (Rev 13:11).
The devil must be revealed first before Jesus come. The false Jesus (devil) must be proven wrong.
Think about it.

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWould you bet...?
This is for the non believers. This is also serious. Now, I know Christians believe that there is a lot of proof that God does exist. Non believers want physical proof of God. Christians believe in faith while non believer believe in logic. But, how about if Christians are right, how about if there is a God and Judgment is coming. Would the non believer bet their souls on it? Would they risk there souls because they choose not to have faith?

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoThe mark of the beast, 666. A tattoo or physical mark makes no sense?
666?
Rev 16:12 "And the sixth angel poured out his vial..."
Rev 9:14-19 "Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet..."
Rev 6:12"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal..."
The 6th seal, the 6th trumpet, the 6th vial. Isn't this the time when the devil, the false prophet comes?
Think about it.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoThe mark of the beast, is it in your forehead (mind) or on your forehead (a physical mark)?
To have a physical mark does not make sense. I would think that the devil is smarter than that. How can you worship the devil knowing that he is the devil. But, if he makes you think that he is someone else, let say Jesus, than the mark would be in your forehead, in your mind.
Rev. 13:11
Think about it.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do people think the races were introduced at the time of the tower of Babel?
Genesis 1:26 God created all races on the sixth day.
Genesis 2:2 God rested on the seventh day.
Genesis 2:5 God "...and there was not a man to till the ground."
Genesis 2:7 God created man (Adam='adam {aw-dawm'}).
Don't forget to keep the subject, Gen 2:5,"...and there was not a man to till the ground."
Genesis 11 is when God divided the languages only, because the people wanted to build a tower up to Heaven; they wanted salvation in their own way.
Keep the subject, Genesis 11:4.
Think about it.

Have you read how God is AGAINST the rapture theory?
Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly."
God is talking to those preachers that teach the rapture.
Why can you see that the rapture is wrong?
