parasite/parasitism is defined as:

- A type of symbiotic relationship between organisms of different species where one organism, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the host.

- A (generally undesirable) living organism that exists by stealing the resources produced/collected by another living organism.

- An animal or plant that lives in or on a host (another animal or plant); the parasite obtains nourishment from the host without benefiting or killing the host

so as a baby brings no benefits to a pregnant woman and it feeds off nutrients from the pregnant woman, is it technically a parasite?

I was watching "the soup" once, and there was a clip from a reality show, about people training dogs... I imagine it must be some kind of competition or something.

anyway, the clip was about a girl who was teaching a dog not to grab food from a plate. so in the clip, the girl put a plate of muffins in front of the dog, and gave him a command (I think it was "away" or something) so the dog just stared at the plate of food in front of him with the most desperate look I've ever seen in my life XD

anyway, I was wondering if anyone has seen that clip, and where I could find it? (preferably on youtube)

I have to write an essay about justice, but I don't know what to do it about... can you give me a few themes? a friend of mine is going to write it about the spanish inquisition, and I was thinking about something abstract, like how justice is an ideal, but it's almost unreachable, and how we all have different concepts about it, so it's a very ambiguous term, even though we all use it daily

Someone told me that chocolate was like poison for dogs or something, so I never gave my dogs any, but I always had my doubts. But today I heard that on a TV show. so why is it bad for them? is there something they can eat that we can't?

I remember the video, it was the singer, and he was singing at the beginning with a mic, and then he takes the mic and starts walking (or running, idk), and sometimes they show that the cable of the mic is running short, and the song just goes on as he walks, and stuff, until the cable of the mic runs out, and just as it unplugs from the amp, the singer finds a new mic, and then he sings until the song ends

I'm kinda thin, and I'm starting to go to a gym. I've heard that I should eat high protein food to gain muscle. so there's my question.

I'm actually pretty sure that I should eat high protein food, but just in case, I wrote food in general in my question.

anyway, please elaborate as much as possible =P and If you can give me some sort of a diet-thing, all the better.

I'm pretty thin, so I don't worry at all about gaining weight, but I want to build muscle and (from what I understand) I really need to exercise and eat protein. But what kind of food has lots of protein? (besides protein bars and shakes; I mean like actual food. like food, food)

so, I'm in school and I need to make a dissertation. a dissertation is a kind of a thesis or speech or something like that. I need to talk for about 5 minutes, so it's really short, but I can't find a subject. Any suggestions? the more the better

I've seen in the movies that when a person hits the side of the neck of another person, he/she faints or falls asleep or something like that. also, in other movies, they sort of grab the shoulder or something like that. Is that real? and if so, how do you do it?

I have had a little red dot in my chest for a couple of years (when I first realized it was there). it's about the size of any regular mole; pretty small. should I be worried? and, how do I get rid of it if I wanted to?

Socrates basically stated that the body and the entire physical world is flawed and any actual knowledge you try to get from it would (as a consequence) also be flawed. and that the only way to reach true knowledge is to use only your thought to get to the "archetypal" world. the concept or idea of things, wich, as oposed to the physical world, is perfect.

now, in my point of view: Every bit of knowledge by means of thought we get, is derived from an idea we already had in our minds. and those ideas we already had are pretty much irrational, or based in the physical plane. like some dualist philosophies in anthropology that derive from religious concepts (like most works in middle age).

being that the case, unless you get to the root; The basic idea of the universe (wich is what philosophy is all about), without any kind of relation to any pre-given concept you had. ANY and ALL knowledge is fundamentally flawed
