2 AnswersRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoMaximum Height & Spread of Prunus Kurilensis Brillant?
The Kurile Cherry - white cherry blossom in spring upright habit. Originally discovered at the Kornik Botanic Garden in Poland.
Ticket says approx 2m (6') high in 10 years. Is it likely to get bigger than this? Also what spread?
The one I have at the moment is only 2 ft high with short trunk and reasonable crown of branches. Am hoping trunk will increase in height in proportion to crown of branches. Can any one advise on this plant please????. Any information gratefully appreciated.
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoQUESTION FOR PLUMBERS - Can I get any Shower mixer taps re combi boiler?
I have a Combi Boiler that takes water direct from mains (no water tank).
I want to put a shower over my bath by changing existing bath taps to shower bath mixer taps. My questions:
1) Is my water pressure likely to be same from both hot and cold taps for the new mixer taps?
2) Will a bath shower mixer tap work without having to have the thermostatic control (re water pressure and temperature)?
Grateful for any advice - thank you.

3 AnswersRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoWhen silver plate wears off cutlery revealing brass underneath, are these cutlery pieces worth keeping?
Make is Oneida (from a full set) Supposedly 50 year guarantee providing they are only washed with soft cloth!
To be honest I use washing up liquid and non scratch scourer so I guess I have not adhered to recommendation under guarantee.
Are these worn pieces worth keeping? Or worth any real money value once silver worn away?

9 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoWhat are long term affects of lack of oxygen to legs in Emphysema?
re an answer ......
"Muscles are not getting enough oxygen and are therefore switching to anaerobic respiration. This produces acid which collects and causes aches and pains.
If this is the case, it ties in with poor circulation."
Do you know what the long term affect of poor circulation and lack of oxygen to the legs might be?
I have emphysema and am noticing more and more re the aches and stiffness in the legs when I go for my walks and other activity to try and keep fit.
The docs dont seem interested in these symptoms, but I would like to know what I can do to help myself and what I may be in for if I can't correct it.
Will Massage help? Alternate Hot / Cold shower on feet legs?
The lymph glands on the inside of the knees are tender and I get leg and foot cramps at night for which I am finding Mag Phos Tissue salts useful.
Any useful suggestions welcome.

The docs don't seem to want to comment or advise me on this - all I can do is keep asking, I get the impression that they not interested in these symptoms, but I would like to know what I can do to help myself and what I may be in for if I can't correct it. Do you think Massage might help?

2 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoAre you interested in saving UKs Accident & Emergency Departments?
For those interested in saving these facilities do sign the petition on line. I believe 750,000 signatures are required before the prime minister's office will even bother looking at the petition.
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/KeepAandE/
Previously individual A&Es are being threatened with closure which could easily be the difference between life or death for some individuals. This new petition link is to try a sway the government against the ongoing threat to A&E departments throughout the UK.
Will you save someone's life and sign the petition today?
The choice is yours.
Even if the site is very busy do keep trying and make a difference.
Good wishes to all for a long happy and healthy life.
10 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWill U B Happy and make One Day a week on Yahoo 100% Positive?
Last time a non happy person had my question removed as a violation for chatting. So I here it is again.
When I last did a search on Yahoo Q&A it has been over 5 months since anyone asked a question with the word Happy included. My enquiry here is to ask for people to help change that.
I think power to the people could be achieved in changing this site to a more positive expression of ourselves simply by choosing not to ask or answer some questions and being selective about those that we do ask or answer.
Have an Excellent Day - We could make Saturday our Happy Day.
Will you choose 2B Happy?
