  • My dog just chewed up my suit pants!!! Can a Tailor fix them?

I had the pants hanging next to his cage and he pulled them into his cage and ate off the back pocket button (now there is a little hole), chewed the front clasp, and frayed right near a belt loop. Luckily none of these spots are super noticable but, these are about $250 pants, so can a tailor fix them? If so how much do you think that a repair like that would cost?

  • What is my problem? Hypoglycemia - mayabe I need more aerobic exercise?

I am a 24 year old male, 6'4" 196 lbs about 8-10 percent body fat. I was a collegiate all american decathlete a little over a year ago. I trained 4-6 hours a day every day and felt great. Ever since about a six months ago I have been getting dizzy spells, sometimes I get this feeling of my blood vessels in my neck are beating to hard when I am lifting weights. I am active but do not run near what I did when I was in college. I also had blood work and a lot of heard work done about 5 months ago. I had and EKG, Halter monitor and an ultrasound and a few other things by a heart specialist. I understand that Reactive hypoglycemia could happen and be fairly undetectable unless the blood is drawn during the attack.

When I do bench press or squats with heavy weights my bpm raises and if I havent eaten in a while I get dizzy or tunnel vision. Mind you my heart is fine, could it be hypoglycemia or should I start trying to get a few miles of running in a week. Target active bpm?

  • How do I sell my House quicker?

I want to sell one of my 4 houses and need to sell it faster. Also, my expedition is getting worse gas mileage since I put 26 inch rims on it. And my wifes mercedes is getting only 18 mpg. Should we put that in the shop, but then she will be left driving our hybrid (which we rarely drive - because we like to waste gas), and everyone will laugh at us. Any advice?

  • Get dizzy or not really dizzy but i guess a male hot flash?

I am a 23 year old completely healthy male - 6'4" 200lbs was a collegiate athlete, and every few days or weeks I will be sitting down and get a real dizzy feeling or maybe like tunnel vision but it is not super severe. I have been to a cardiologist and they hooked me up to a 24 hour heart monitor, did an ekg, and an ecg and ran blood tests. Everything came back fine, and it was one of the top cardiologists in texas. I also have a little bit of stress with work and everything - I am getting married in a few months. Could I have a thyroid problem and they not have caught it or is this really just stress related. My heart rate and blood pressure is completely normal although it was super high when I went to the doctors office but the assistant said that was completely normal/ On the 24 hour Holter monitor it had a sixety something average. Also, I used to train 4 hours a day - hard - now i work out but am still fit but not nearly as good of shape as I used to be.

  • What is the best diesel engine to swap into my 98 ford ranger?

I have a 98 Ford Ranger and would like to make it a diesel. I have done quite a bit of research in this area and have found that either the 2.8 or 3.0 powerstroke would be good. But, I am looking for an experts opinion on this matter. I drive about 200 miles a day, at some times I may have a max load of about 250 - 300 lbs in the bed, I have a tonneau. I just got a new clutch and hydraulic system. I understand that this swap could cost me 3-4k completed but would really like to know the best engine that would fit my clutch and be around the 3 liter ranger or just the best engine/transmission combo for 35 mpg and decent torque (so I don't have to worry about merging onto the freeway). Also if they make a lightweight turbodiesel that would fit with a bit of fabrication could someone point me in the right direction. I almost bought a mitsubishi truck 3.0 or something with the transmission imported from japan with only 35k miles on it for 1200$ but it was missing the ecu. Thanks

  • Would a exhaust leak before the catalytic converter and a bad Oxygen Sensor cause these problems?

I went to Pep Boys and my Ford Ranger 2.5l i4 would intermittenly almost stall and accelleration would be awful if my car could even accelerate at times. I just bought this truck 2 weeks ago and it has 150k miles on it. I just got the Mass Airflow Sensor changed out since that was bad and did an entire tune-up on it. They also told me that there was an exhaust leak after the headers but before the cat. converter and that the same O2 sensor that was right there was bad to but they could not fix and I would have to take it to a muffler shop. Pep-boys has always been completely honest with me, but does this sound like it will almost completely fix my problem. If really try to accelerate hard I can barely make the shift out of second - I have a manual trns. However, 50% of the time It runs "OK" to be generous. Could it also be the fuel system event though they did not find anything wrong with that. Any input would help.

  • Physics Brain Teaser - If you are in a steel, vacuum sealed capsule...?

If you are in a steel, sealed capsule (just for the sake of things - say the size of a large couch) and you and a fly are in there together. You get projected at the speed of a bullet - aprox 2000+ ft. per second and then smack into the face of a mountain and come to a complete stop, but the fly was flying around at the moment of impact does the fly smack into the front of the capsule with you. Or, since he was flying and therefore relatively the same weight as the air that surrounds him, would just maintain flying right there. I was just curious! - It's kinda like when you are going real fast in a car and a fly is flying near you and you slam on the brakes and everything grounded to the car flies forward but the fly just stays in the same spot - relative to the car of course.

  • What kind of gas mileage do you get in your Ford Ranger?

Anyone who has a Ford Ranger. What kind of gas mileage do you get? What engine/transmission combo do you have? And please list any performance upgrades i.e. exhaust, intake etc. I just purchased a 98 4 cyl 5 spd Ranger for gas mileage and would like to know how to best improve it. I have a Chevy Avalanche right now also but my everyday truck is now my ranger and the Avalanche just go out with on the weekends. My buddy has a ranger with the same combo as me an steadily sees 28-30 mpg on the highway but he has exhaust (flowmaster for a 4 cyl - go figure) and said it made a big difference. Any input?
