I am probably on YA! to check Sports questions that are off Yahoo Sports! So while I am on it most of the time, I occasionally answer/ask questions. I just have other things to do than waste all my time answering questions. If I answer your question, you are lucky! I answer a question if I have something to say/add to the conversation/question. So it just depends.. I hate it when the community vote for the "Best Answer" cause most of the time it's wrong. One can vote for themselves, and just hope no one votes. Not to mention, the person asking the question may choose someone who may not have the best answer over someone who has knowledge backing his answers. I believe answers to questions should be thorough and straight to the point. You may use sources to back you up. And I hate getting "Thumbs Down" by others mostly haters, when I know what I say most of the time is right. So yeah....

  • I have trouble sleeping at night, what should I do?

I believe I have what you call "chronic insomnia" which is sleeping poorly on most nights for a month or more. For me, it's been years and I haven't been able to figure out why I can't get into a deep state of sleep. I pretty much take cat naps.

It all started years ago, when I worked graveyard at a convienence store. I worked late, and I didn't have school until later in the evening. I went straight to school to put in some lab for my project instead of going to bed. Do you think that might have something do with it?

I have been to clinics, taking different pills, and some of the over the counter meds. They don't work! I don't know what else to do, I haven't tried Ambien CR/Lunesta or any of that cause you need a prescription.

    Any help would be apperciated.

  • Would you agree with me on this?

Some positions are about judgement and/or athletic ability. Like a athlete's character and baggage.

That being a quarterback in college/pro football is about judgement. They lead the offense and make most of the plays. Look at how Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, and Tom Brady conduct themselves in public and how they led on the field.

When you look at Michael Vick, what do you see? He doesn't use good judgment, gets in the news, gets into trouble. On the field, he's a run first and pass second QB. Poor accurancy.

That being a running back, you need to have athletic ability. Like being fast and elusive.

For example: LT, Adrian Peterson, Brian Westbrook, etc.

  • Do you believe that we should pay to download music?

In my opinion, and I support all artists that yes I believe we should pay for our music. Whether it may be a CD, cassette, whatever. I believe in doing what's right, and you know what music artists/bands like us are human too! They got to eat too, pay bills, etc.

And I don't think that it's right to download music illegially and not pay for it, that is considered stealing and wrong!

  • What's your favorite Reality TV show?

I know everyone is going to say American Idol, but it's had it's good and bad moments. I only watch it only to see Simon's harsh criticism ruin and break the horrible singers. Not much into AI anymore.

I love Moment of Truth, Pros vs Joes, and Hell's Kitchen!

What about you? You can name more than one if you like.

  • Why is it that some sports are boring to watch on TV?

I'll name one sport for example, Baseball. Since I love baseball so much than any other sport, I don't mind it so much if it's televised or on the radio. If you love the game so much, you wouldn't care if you couldn't make it to any of their games.

Some of my friends and people say watching baseball on TV is slow. Well I don't think so, what about you? It can be any sport.

  • Would you watch a sporting event on TV or be at the game?

Watching it on TV or listening to it on the radio isn't a bad alternative in my book, but I much rather be at the game. Unfortunately with ticket prices going up each year because of escalating salaries in major sports like baseball, it's hard for a family of 4 to go.

It's not so bad watching it on TV/listening to the radio if you don't have the money to go see the game. But to each their own, not everyone is wealthy and has money to spend.

  • Why has the NHL become so irrelevant and what can it do to be relevant again?

Remember, how ESPN use to broadcast their games? Now they are on Versus channel. I watch hockey from time to time, but it gets boring.

I mostly watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

And it doesn't help either when you have most fans into and/or MLB, the NBA, the NFL, and NASCAR.

The NHL get as much publicity as it can get, but some of the publicity is bad. Like Zednik getting his throat cut on the ice from the skate of Jokinen. Other players getting seriously hurt or being fined with huge penalities like from Donald Brashear, Marty McSorley, or Todd Bertuzzi.

  • If you can choose between a good book, good meal, or good movie. What would it be?

    You can only choose one.

If I had to choose, I would say a good movie because I could be entertained for hours.

Good food, would only get me so far. And you may not be full after your meal.

Good book, it depends on what the book is. Not much of a reader.

    So Good Movie for me...

  • Should we put too much emphasis on the NFL Combine?

There are some drills in the combine that don't even factor or make a difference if you were to play on the field. Like the 40 yd dash, vertical jump, and some of the other drills.

Just because you do poorly at the Combine, they project the NFL Prospect he'll go late or drop. But if he does well, his stock is up and he may go earlier than projected.

I think scouts IMO shouldn't put too much on how players perform at the Combine. You can look at the player's body of work and their collegiate careers to determine if he's a high pick, middle of the draft, or late pick.

Fastest players doesn't translate to great athletes.

Emmitt Smith 4.56 40 Time, and he finished with 18K+ yds Rushing and 164 TDs Rushing. x8 Pro Bowl, x6 All Pro, few MVPs, x3 SB Champ

Jerry Rice 4.7 40, and he finished with 22K+ recieving yds and 197 TD receptions. Not to mention x13 Pro Bowl, x12 All Pro, and x3 SB Champ.

I don't put too much into it, I look at the NFL prospect's collegiate carrer.

  • What do you enjoy listening more on the radio?

    Sports talk, music, talk, etc?

I listen to mostly sports talk starting from Colin Cowherd from 6-10am, Rome from 9am to 12am, and Steve Mason Show from 1-4pm while I'm working. I only listen to the 3rd hour of the Herd before switching to Rome, and I listen to the entire show when I get home.

Where I work, I can listen both to music and sports talk. I don't like some of the songs or the artists that come up at times. I just enjoy hearing people talk about sports than listening to the same song over and over.

  • How do you feel about your team's chances at the 2008 season?

I think we're going to have a dogfight for the AL West with Seattle. Seattle finally gets the ace that will put them over the top in Erik Bedard. Question is, will their offense complemate the pitching? The Angels made some big moves like signing Torii Hunter who will help Vlad, cause we all know Vlad can only do so much. Trading Cabrera for Garland. I love my team, but I don't think we'll clinch the West easily like we did last year.

I would like to see the Angels get past the Divisional Series and onto the World Series, but going through Boston, Detroit, and NYY is no easy task or walk in the park. So we'll see.

  • How did you feel when Hornswoggle was hurt badly on Monday Night Raw last night?

Honestly, if you were going to ask me and I'm no hardcore wrestling fan! I say he got what he deserved, but before you start bashing "Oh, he's cruel!" I have my reasons. I have hated Hornswoggle from the day he was in the WWE being the Little Bastard and now Vince's illegitimate son. I don't like him, his gimmick, and becoming a Cruiserweight Champion. His gimmick is so stale, and I'm glad Vince and JBL really handed him the beating he deserved in front of a defenseless Finlay. Heck, Khali should've joined in and gave him the Vise Grip.

  • Women, how do you feel when your b/f comes to a ultimatum of: "Have sex with me or I'll dump you?"

Now, I've never been into a relationship and have came close a few times. But it makes me sick and disgusted when guys put that ultimatum on women like that. Even if he does get some, he might be dumping you anyway like your like a used car and go with something better.

I believe if he's asking you to have sex or dumping you, than he's probably not the right guy for you. If he was the right man for you, he would respect your decisions to not get off on him. That's just me. We all have our beliefs and morals, unfortunately not everyone in the world can be on the same page.

What do you think? If you've been in a situation much similar to this, I like to know your experiences and how you felt being used like that?

  • Who do you think has a better chance of getting far in the playoffs? The Lakers or the Clippers?

Growing up I was a Laker fan, but after the Kobe and Shaq era my interest in them have decreased over the years. After the Clippers made the Western Conference Finals, it made me become a fan of both LA teams. I like both teams equally, but I tend to like the Clippers more because in Lakertown it's all Kobe, Kobe, and Kobe that.

I just don't feel very confident that Kobe will get them deep into the playoffs, if he's carrying the whole team on his shoulders when he doesn't have that much help to get him there. He's hoisting up so many shots, because he doesn't trust Odom or any of the role players at times.

The Clippers who underachieved the beginning of the year, they have come around despite Cassell being hurt and what happened to Livinginston during the season. Hart has played well since signing with them, and the Clips have better players.

    Brand, Kaman, Maggette, and Cuttino.

They won't get deep, but I know they'll probably get farther than the Lakers.

  • Are you really being unfaithful to your future husband/wife by losing your virginity before you get married?

I am a Christian, well sort of because it's been awhile I've went to church and it's hard to find a church that lives by the Word these days.

Now, I know most of society who is an agnostic/atheist will disagree with me. But I believe you are being unfaithful, because you bring more and more kids out of wedlock who don't know who their dad was if they leave. It's the lack of responsibility why we have abortions, more wedlock kids, and STDs.

I just don't buy into the because I was in love, because to me it's nothing more than an excuse it seems. I just believe if you had more than 1 sex partners who you have sex with before getting married, you are being unfaithful to your future husband/wife and God if you believe in him.

  • Would you impressed with Daisuke Matsuzaka's season debut against the Kansas City Royals?

I know it was against the Kansas City Royals out of all teams, but he did put up a good line of... 7 IP, 6 Hits Allowed, 1 ER, 1 BB, and 10 Ks!!!

He pretty baffled the Royals with his repertoire of pitches of fastballs, change ups, breaking balls, and gyroball if it exists at all. Don't know if he used it or not.

Strong debut, but I'm not all that impressed cause it was the Royals. I want to see him pitch against the Yanks, to see if he was worth the $103 mil the Red Sox paid to talk and sign him.
