I used to work for cat rescue, now I help run a private sanctuary for the cats we could not adopt out. I live on a 'cat farm' if you will, in a very rural area that has not quite made it to the 21st century (I am not sure they've made it to the 20th).
Can a physician's billing department with hold filling a patient's medication b/c of an overdue bill? ?
I am a steroid dependent patient for 25 years, this is NOT a narcotic, however it is physically addicting. If I abruptly stop taking these medications at best I could go into seizures and coma, at worst - die. My Doctors office refused to refill my prescriptions WITHOUT telling me this was the case. I was unaware of this until I called the Docs office to find out what was wrong....
Can the billing department make these decisions? and can they do so WITHOUT notifying the patient? BTW the Docs office is in MD.

...it is called REVERSE discrimination when a white person is banned from doing something based on skin color?
This implicitly states that ONLY whites can be discriminatory.....
6 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoFair Credit Reporting by debtor once debt is paid off?
I have come to an agreement of a settlement with a company I owe money to, not for full amount. They want to say on my credit report once I pay them the settled amout: "Paid in full, but did not pay full amount". Is this legal?
This is like they get paid AND they get to still give me a black mark on my credit report.....
3 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoHOW to cope with chronic daily headache?
I have had a headache for over 4 months now. Been to Dr., had MRI, getting blood tests, blood pressure fine, so far no sign of intercranial pressure or stroke. I do not see an end in sight, lost faith in Doctors.
I have other, more serious, health issues to contend with, I have a fairly high tolerance for pain and I need it for enduring this...it is a pressure headache with the intensity of a severe migrane 24/7, nothing works.
So anyone who has these chronic daily headaches, how have you coped?
What do you you everyday to get through each day?
I mean do you still drive and stuff?
