  • OK, I asked a question a couple of hours ago about Cho. I'm wondering?

See, I work all week, and today is the first day I've actually had tome to try to figure out just what the heck happened. I only got two answers, so maybe nobody really knows, or you guys have already hashed it to death (I've been looking at some q's and a's on the subject).

So, I've been doing a bit of homework on my own.

Sorry if I'm offending anyone, but, if he did this because of religious fanatacism, I think we have a right to know. I'd say that if I thought he had done it out of Christian fanatacism. We'd want to know if the kid had a Christian agenda so we could protect ourselves in the future.

If he had been a pagan or a Wiccan, we'd want to know. Do Pagans think they ought to kill people to make room for their gods? I don't think so, but if they did, I'd want to know, so I could protect myself. Do Wiccans have some unknown reason for wanting to kill people? Again, I doubt it. But if they did, I'd surely want to know.

Looks like a cover up. He was Muslim. Ismail's Ax.....

  • Do women today really think their lives are harder than men's?

Someone asked this a few minutes ago, and it got me thinking.

Women deal with the pressures of menstrual cycles and giving birth. I've seen that, and it made me very glad to be a man, thank you. It also made me appreciate both my own mother and my wife alot more than I might have if I had not seen.

On the other hand, my wife says she wouldn't want to trade places with any man, ever.

Of course, that could be because I love her and she knows it, the minx....I love spoiling her.

So I'm wondering...do women today really have it so hard, and if they do, would they consider going back to the days of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo?

  • OK, I'm confused. Could someone please bring me up to speed on the VT shootings?

I've read that the kid was severely troubled. Why didn't anybody pick up on this and get help for him?

I've heard he was a Christian. But he died with the words "Ismail's Ax" in red ink on his arm. Isn't that a Muslim thing?

I've heard he took time out from his killing spree to mail off his rant to NBC. How in the heck did he manage to do that, and STILL get back to his killing spree?

I've heard alot of conflicting stories. Is there anybody on today that knows the real truth?

  • OK, this worries me. What does it say about R&S users? (see below)?

I ask a question about a book and get two answers in a half hour.

I ask a question about gay marriage and get over a dozen answers in fifteen minutes..

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlTaw...

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avvo9...

Does this tell us that people are more curious about what is going on in other people's befrooms than a good book?

    What do you think?

  • I have nothing against gays or lesbians, and I could care less if they want to get married, but I have to ask?

If they get the legal right to get married, does that mean they will also have to get divorced legally, like any other married couple?

    What about community property?

    Who would be paying alimony?

Would "common law marriage" apply to gay and lesbian husbands and wives?

If you are gay and want to get married, have you thought about these issues?

Gay, lesbian, plag (?) or not, I'd be interested in hearing what you think about these things....

  • Did anyone else read "The Book of Barabbas"? If you did, what did you think of it?

I've spoke with the author, Miss Deborah Ann Wilson, via e-mail.

Evidently, while most of the people who have contacted her love the book, she has gotten some nagative feedback, mostly from people accusing her of being "anti-semite". All I can figure is that it has to be from people who have either not read the book, or who don't understand that she is portraying Biblical history pretty much as outlined in the Gospels, as far as Jesus' death and resurrection are concerned.

Also, her idea of portraying Barabbas as the alternate "messiah", as the Jews are/were looking for seemed innovative to me. It says he was in prison for "insurrection", Miss Wilson is correct when she sees insurrection as rebellion against the legal government, which would be Rome.

I loved the fight scenes...hard to believe this was a woman who wrote it. She's really good.

    So, what do you think?

(If you haven't read it, I recommend it...I got my copy from Amazon.com.)

  • Does anybody have any real information about the man Barabbas?

I've always been curious about him. Who was he? Where did he come from? Why were all those people yelling for his release, instead of Jesus?

I'm reading The Book of Barabbas, Searching for the Messiah...I got it at Amazon.com. It's fiction, but it's a d*mn good book. Has anyone else read this book?

The second book, Finding Salvation is coming out soon.

  • Who else has read "The Book of Barabbas"? What did you think of it?

This is a great work of fiction! I was amazed, since the author is female...the book has real guts!

Only problem was, the first book left me hanging. I understand the second book will be out soon, and I can't wait!

If you haven't read it, it's available at Amazon, BooksAMillion, and probably lots of other online bookstores. Just type in "The Book of Barabbas"

  • Has anyone else read "The Book of Barabbas"? What did you think of it?

I read Part One: Searching for the Messiah when it came out last year. I was really surprised...I was expecting something along the lines of the old movie, but it is nothing like that at all...I think this one is destined to be a classic, in it's own right!

The book is about the man, Barabbas, who was set free...

The only problem was, it left me hanging. Part Two: Finding Salvation is supposed to be out soon...I can't wait to read the rest of the story!

If you haven't read it, you ought to. It's a whole new approach...go to Amazon or BooksAMillion or one of those sites, and type in "The Book of Barabbas"....

I read Part One, 'Searching for the Messiah', when it came out last year, and it was terrific...not at all what I expected, since the author is a woman! It was gutsy and real...only it left me hanging.

Part Two, 'Finding Salvation' is supposed to be out soon...I can't wait!

If you haven't read it, it's available at Amazon or BooksAMillion online...
