  • slide duplicator with bridge camera?

I've been looking at digital slide duplicators which fit on a dslr camera. Could I use one on a lumix fz100 which has fixed lens but has 52mm fitting to which I could attach it. Has anyone any experience of this?

  • saw dog being badly treated?

Walking along a track last night I was passed by a bloke on a bike with a springer spaniel. At the end he and the dog stopped for a rest. About 5 mins later a tired looking short legged Jack russell followed and as soon as it got there they guy set off back in the same direction (no rest for the little dog) and was soon out of sight with the Jack russell miles behind, panting and covered in mud.

I was thinking about it all night -should I have said/done something? What if I see him again?

Track is 4 miles to next village, 6 to next town.

  • a question about contracts?

Believing our service contract was about to end, I signed a new one with a rep who called in on spec

He said an engineer would come and check out the machine (he didn't)

He said we'd save money (and then charged us twice the amount of the old contract)

He didn't leave me any paperwork, and I still have none.

He ignored my emails when I tried to let him know that we couldn't get out of the old contract for 3 months except for one short note saying their contract had already started.

He has now come back to me wanting £900 ( for literally doing nothing ) and made a dodgy offer of a new machine on lease in return for the one we own and start a new service contract and wipe out the old one which would leave us much out of pocket.

Can I dispute this contract seeing as I signed it? We are a small business and can't afford solicitors etc.

  • bookkeeping help needed?

What expense category does machine maintenance come under? we need expensive on-going contact to cover breakdowns for the machine which produces most of the goods we sell. is it indirect costs or other expenses? or something else? We are trying to keep costs down by doing most of the bookkeeping ourselves (new small business) a comprehensive list of expense categories would be great but I can't find one....Thanks in advance!

There is none here. After all the fuss on the news I'm wondering if they are exaggerating the snowfall so they don't look silly.

  • hacking question-experts please?

One of my sons claims the other is hacking his new PC.

Permissions being changed, invisible drives, multiple administrator accounts and more. He thinks his network card has been flashed with a PXE rom via an SD card and access is being gained to his PC via my android tablet.

Does this make sense to anyone, because it is beyond me.

The situation is getting worse and I'd appreciate some help getting to the bottom of this.

  • different cadmium yellows?

Anyone know the difference between cadmium yellow, cadmium yellow pale, and cadmium yellow hue?

I'm painting in acrylic and I found one of the above had a tendency to "float" on a mixed colour when dry giving a yellow cast-unfortunately I can't remember which one.

  • artists copyright question?

If I sell an original painting which I painted, can I then make and sell limited edition prints of it using photographs taken before I sold the painting?

    ( I can't ask because I don't know who bought it)

It just feels as if it would devalue the original by making it less excusive.

Would they be annoyed if they saw copies of "their" painting for sale?
