21 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoCat vomitting, excessive drooling and trembling?
My moms cat is 20 and she is in poor health. Numerous attempts have been made by me to coax her to bring the cat to the vet however she is reluctant. I know it is because the vet will tell her to put the cat down and she does not believe in euthenasia. She just called me and said that the cat, Muffin, vomitted a lot, is drooling excessively and is now trembling. Muffin is completely matted sleeps most of the time, continues to eat drink and use the tidy box. If anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong or ways to convince my mom to have her put down your opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I will be forever in debted to anyone who gives me ideas on this. My grandmother is in the hospital and the doctors are stuck on one diagnosis and no one else in the family including my grandmother thinks they are right.
So here is her history, be prepared its long;
68 years of age, pre diabetic but diabetes has already been ruled out, has heart issues again heart ruled out,
Has had lapses in memory severe blackouts (alzheimers again ruled out) partakes in activities with no recolection. For example went to a bar in a nittie with no teeth ate chicken wings, was on the internet at 2 am, tried to take off in her van, all with no memory of the event. Has had 3 major "episodes".
The first being in january, she presented with double vision, a disoriented feeling then she went into an almost coma like state she had a glazed over stare and was incoherent. Couldnt sit in a chair without almost falling out. When the emt's arrived her blood sugar had plumeted to 50, after she was extremely tired and just wanted to sleep. She came out of this state within a few hours and it was like it never happened
The second episode happened just this week monday, she my uncle and cousin had gone out to eat. When they were walking to their seats she stopped and started yelling for my uncle. She said she could see peoples mouths moving but could not hear anything. Then her hearing returned, she started dry heaving and was taken away again by emt's again with a extremely low blood sugar. She went into her glazed over almost coma state again and had to be given two glucose tubes to bring her sugar back to the 70's. She was told her blood sugar did it and released from the er. She was extremelly tired and all she wanted to do was sleep.
Then the next day she was complaining of a headache, my uncle monitered her blood sugar through out the day and it stayed around 110. After dinner she started to get the oh so familiar glazed over trance like stare yet again. She was taken to the er via ambulance only this time her blood sugar was 210 right after eating a big dinner. She was very fatigued adn extremely incoherent when in the er, also has no memory of the events. They took blood, poked and proded and took her temp (not in mouth) and she slept through it. Each "attack" takes her longer to come out of. Please give me your ideas.
These have already been ruled out, seizures, meningitis, heart attack, stroke, hearts fine, lungs fine, kidneys, liver all ok brain is ok no tumors. Had eeg ekg ct scan. NOW doctors are saying because they have ruled everything else out its MIGRANES. I have heard of headacheless migranes but this is not it. If she has migranes now they are stress related. Or at least we think.
